It was a bright Sunday morning. All the members of VR Mansion had been out for their own works.
Vansh and Angre for a business meet. Aryan and Ishani on an outing and Dadi, Sia and Chachi to a relatives place. Left was Riddhima who was all alone at the huge mansion to enjoy some 'Me Time'. And with all the house helps with a day off had just been acting as cherry on top.
As soon as everyone left after their breakfast, Riddhima entered her room and wore a jeans and top, the clothes which Vansh doesn't allow her to wear infront of others.
She took her phone, inserted her earpods in and started playing her favourite songs. Slowly swaying on its beautiful rythm, she marked her steps towards the kitchen. She turned the whole kitchen upside down only find a packet of wafers.
She turned her attention towards the refrigerator to find an "Ice cream", she screamed.
After cleaning the whole kitchen and making it neat, she left towards her room.
Pulling the couch in front of the television, she connected it to her mobile and started playing her favourite hindi romantic movies.
After finishing with the food stuffs and her favourite movies, she removed the hidden video games from her almirah and started playing.
It was almost eve, when Riddhima was done with all the stuff.
She turned around only to find the whole room in a mess.
She cleared the whole room. Made it neat as Vansh always liked and took a glance of her lockscreen.
She again took a final look of the room and her own attire.
Finding herself looking good enough, she took her earpods and mobile.
Locking the house, she handed over the keys to watchman and left out for a quick stroll before anyone's return.
VR Mansion was settled far away from all the chaotic and hectic life of the busy Mumbai City among the arms of nature.
Beautiful hills surrounding it, a view worth seeing. Clear sky painted with different colours and shades of orange as the sun is setting in. The beautiful chirping sounds of birds as all of them bid adieu to their beloved sun and return back to the nest, mingled with the little mischief which they do with their bird friends. The rustling sounds of the leaves as they welcome those birds back into their nest. All this seems so surreal to her.
Instead of listening to songs, she had found herself lost amongst all these beautiful things, a scenario to be mesmerized with.
She was so lost in registering these small litte scenes of this moment that she had walked a lot far away from the mansion with no souls within her sight.
As soon as she was conscious enough of her surroundings ,she decided to return back home.
Before she could turn around, she was held by her waist and an handkerchief was put around her face covering her mouth and nose. Before she could revert back, she lost her senses due to the presence of an unknown smell in it. Maybe Chloroform.
Even though Riddhima was unconscious, she could feel the temperature of her surroundings increasing and herself sweating profusely.
Before she could figure it out, she heard someone scream "Fire!Fire!Help a lady. She is stuck up inside!!"
She jerked her eyes open only to find herself stuck up in the middle of a house which was in flames, surrounded by fire on each side.
Gathering all the strength, she got up on her two feets. Balancing herself, she examined the surroundings only to find a door.
Taking careful steps towards the door, she touched the knob of it. Being in an semi-unconscious state, the toxic air was also doing its magic by making her vision blur with every passing second.
She touched the knob in an haste only to burn her hand.
Soon the toxic air did it's work and she found herself lost again in the world of darkness.
'Beep....Beep...'
Right now, all she could hear was this sound. She knew she was dreaming something very bad in which, her hand has been attached to a IV drip, while her other free hand has been held very softly. She felt her mouth and nose again being covered by a mask like thing but instead of giving foul smell it seemed to give her breath.
She knew she must be dreaming.
But, soon she heard a voice. Asking her to open her eyes. Her mind was telling her that she is hallucination while her heart betrayed her by compelling her to open her eyes.
Within the blurred vision, she was able to understand that she was not hallucination as soon as she saw Vansh by her side.
She tried to blink her eyes rapidly in order to avoid flowing of her tears as they were brimming in her eyes.
But soon her eyelids grew heavy because of the medication. How much she tried she wasn't able to keep them open for a long time.
Soon she surrendered herself into a deep slumber caused due to the heavy medications. But not before whispering "Safe!!"
