I had my share of disconnect too for a while and a least bit even now too, It was more of my inertia to be there where I was and where they were, while I could not deny progress too..There was this dissonance of bit..but it helped me to be detached from over-involvment.. ...I made this baby step to be in the same page slowly to be in the same pace

Bon's father lived with Mama-Mami till he had money. Sumati might have managed the household. That is why Bon referred "meri maa jaisi chabi ka guccha" in the first episode. Also explains why Bon's father died in a hut. After his death, Thakuma would have kept Bon and Sumati, but she went to Benaras for meditation. And now that she's back, she is taking care of them. Der se hee sahi par logic dikhayi makers ne. 👍🏼

I think Mugs ko bhi confusion tha. Mugs is it cleared?

she is representing our younger bon,today see drastic change in bon and batuk,our bon has become mature,firm and resolute but she lost herself and her carefree nature,it is true cm ruins a girl childhood,we loved to see our innoncent bon as bahu keeping all happy ,fulfiling all responsbilties not because she wnated to be adarsh bahu and patni as she loved them unconditionally and now she is slowly realising relations can sometimes take ur individuality-an important lesson learnt by bon

but bon childhood is not cming back

Indu, if I am not wrong (mein bhi skip skip dekhi unlike before), it was like tum ne Sumati ko rakhli because she had money, matab after the demise of her dad only na else 'rakhna kyun'?

Earlier also Bon said, mami had taken all money and jewellery from maa..

Or why would her father go and stay in his sasural?

We wont be getting anymore clarification on this..May be the way it can be taken is May be her father chose to move out, he seemed to be a progessive in his thoughts, they had their own house, Mama mami came in as parasites..or chose to support Sumati and Bon when her father expired ,eyeing on the wealth..

Mein iss logic ke peeche itni nahi gayi Indu, there would still be stumbling blocks

No. She said you kept them until Bon's father was alive, i.e., until he had money. 'Jab Bon ka Baba zinda the, jab tak paisa tha, tab tak rakh liya.' So might be that it was Bon's father's house which gave Mama-Mami the shelter (maybe Sumati asked her husband on seeing her brother in poverty). It is actually clarified in a good way.
