Did I expect an apology in the above situations? Yes.. Did I understand him when he did not ? Yes . Coz we clearly understood the situation that made him behave in the above situations ..

@bold I do not think anybody implied that. Sai will never feel proud about hiding things from Virat. That is not Sai.

The 'pride' that was implied in so many replies was in the context of "a careless, non-reflective, conviction", if that makes any sense. Nor was anyone saying that this 'pride' was her primary emotion. Her primary emotion in that statement still obviously was the happiness of Devyani. We just felt that the primary emotion had an undercurrent of a non-reflective conviction in her methods because it brought happiness for Devyani. It was not arrogance. This was what came across in the general tone of the SaiRat conversation. I did not dwell on this point because I thought it wasn't important. But actually speaking, this was the starting point of the post. So I thought I will clear this.

I want to ask one more thing. Going by inferences - is there any indication of Virat's thought process? Because I do not know whether he is letting everything go because of his guilt and the positive outcome or because he realised Sai must have had some compulsion? This is a significant point because it will dictate their future relationship.

@first para thanks for that, you have worded what I wanted to say. Not sure how I missed to clarify this.

@second para I was so tempted to make a post and then stopped myself thinking not many are going to appreciate any more serious posts today 🙈. The minute I post about him, all the old actions of his has to be brought into picture and I didn't know if I should write one. So I dropped the plan.

I feel he has let it go out of his guilt, because of the positive outcome and also because he had understood how his family was actually against the marriage. In the episode where Sai tells Kaku and gang as how she had got Devi married, Virat looked at her with pride in his eyes, with a happiness on his face and then later warns them saying don't interfere in Devi's life.

So I think he feels that Sai took the step knowing that his family might plot something again to separate the two of them. That is why when Omi asked her chupke se shaadi karwayi, he asked Imi toh aapne kya kiya. So I think he has kind of concluded that it all happened because Sai knew that his family would never let them get united.
