yes i watched cc too
that was also very good, more light hearted than this
What a grand finale!
An EID SPECIAL in all its glory...what a fitting end, to this wonderful journey of the past 30 days...
Team Tanaa Banaa, you can most definitely, take a bow!
đđđ
First up, loved the fact that the recap included the journey thus far...was totally relevant to what was to follow...
For me, was even more special, since it had most of my favourite moments from the drama...
Aur uske baad, as the floodgates opened...what a scintillating next 50 odd minutes it was!!
The episode opened beautifully...loved Zainâs heartfelt request to Zoya...as Zoya matter-of-factly complied, sans any fanfare...
LOVED, how the essence of the moment was carried through in the next scene...in Zainâs conversation with his Ammi...Zainâs candour was heartwarming, as was Fauzia trying hard to hold back her emotions...
The depth of Zain and his motherâs bond was brought to life, beautifully in that scene...very well written, and enacted with sensitivity and nuance, by Danyal and Javeria!đ
Liked the tonality of the Zoya-Zain interaction, in their room, after they got home that night.
For the first time, Zoya was not in her characteristic preachy mode, when it comes to Zain...instead, came across as a true well-wisher and wife, interested in having an adult to adult conversation with her husband. Loved the fact that Zain did not respond to anything that she said...he only assimilated it...he was already thinking about it anyway! Top-notch depiction of some fine Tanaa Banaa on display there!đ
Phir kya kehne they, as Zain got into top gear to bring his plan to life...
The first step in this regard...a brief, but very well done scene between Zain and Zoya...Zain is finally beginning to find his groove with Zoya...a relationship on an equal footing...with Zoya also effectively demonstrating her understanding of the term âcompanionshipâ...
All the conversations that followed were pure gems...Zain and that of Billoo...Zain with his Abbu...the beauty of each of these conversations, was that they managed to capture the unique flavour of every equation, in the most subtle yet effective manner...
The get-together between the family was pure BLISS...actually, it was indeed, âJannatâ, as Zain most rightly put it...
But before we get there, a mention, most definitely for the earnestness that each of the family members had in getting to meet Zain, and their hilarious efforts in concealing the same!đ
LOVED, absolutely LOVED that split second moment when Zain saw his Ammi at the gate...Danyalâs expression was BRILLIANCE personified! No dialogues, no nothing...just that inner peace...the sense of pure contentment and bliss...was conveyed through that smile!
Danyal Zafar, you have been a FIND!đ
The conversation thereafter, between mother and son was once again on point...âjaisi bhi, kya matlab hai jaisi bhiâđ âArey Mera matlab hai main perfect nahin hoonâ...âHaan main bhi perfect nahin hoon naâ! What an intelligent depiction of Zainâs bond with his Ammi!đ
The living room was then, buzzing with activity...was I the only one who got the feeling...that this was almost like Zainâs sense of dĂŠjĂ vu....of remembering his family...being brought to life...
Some super story-telling, that!đ
And finally, as the family bonded over dinner...LOVED the bonhomie that ensued...âAakhir pasand kiski haiâ...âAakhir bahu kiski haiâ...âArey biwi kiski haiââ¤ď¸â¤ď¸â¤ď¸
Uske baad, jo jhatka diya Zain ne...I have to confess, it was a âgotchaâ moment for me!đ
Those lines were so believable...so smartly written...was a Zain like thing to do...especially, when he concluded it most respectfully with a âMushkil hai Ammiâđ
This drama would obviously be incomplete without Zoyaâs âI love you tooâ...but have to admit, was very well done!đđđ
No frills, no flounces...LOVED especially the fact that Zoya initiated it...LOVED even more, the quintessential Zain response to it!đ
Really glad they closed the shartnama loop...was integral, if not the genesis in a sense, of this journey of Zain and Zoyaâs âTanaa Banaaâ
Have to admit here again, that I just couldnât tell where this was heading...as in, I had a sense of âMohabbatnamaâ for sure...but Fauzia âsettling scoresâ took me pleasantly, by surprise!đ
The build-up to the scene was ADORABLE! From Billoo knocking vigorously on Zainâs door...to the uninitiated Zain and Zoya of what was to follow...to the HILARIOUS planning between Shahid Phupha, Zain and team, in Zainâs room!
The proverbial cherry on the cake just had to be Zainâs preference being âkababâ followed by his exasperated âKya aap walime main aayein haiâ??đ¤Ł
I mean I am actually laughing to myself, as I am typing these lines, revisiting Zain and his antics!đđđ¤Ł
Finally it was time for the â8 pm appointmentâ...it was lovely to go down memory lane, with all the shartein....oops, sorry, âsharayatâ...what a lovely touch, that!đ
My favourite moments...
Zain rolling his eyes when Dadi said âsirf fajr ki namaaz kyon, yeh toh paanchon baar ki namaaz padhegaâđ
Zainâs âaur yeh bhi toh humare Shahid phupha hai na...ghalati jiski bhi ho, humesha maafi yeh hi maangte hai...aur phir kahenge ki main toh sirf setting bana raha thaâ...with Furqanuddinâs response...âYeh toh over hi ho gaya haiâđ
To finally, saving the best for the last...Zainâs âhaq hi nahin hai??â...followed by Zoyaâs awkward laughter and Zainâs befuddled expression on hearing Zoyaâs âHaan dekhiye na, yeh kitna naaraz hota hai na mujhseâđ
As the fun and frolic continued, and the family had found their rhythm, it was clear that the time had come...to let this WONDROUS family, regale in the happiness...they had clearly found their mojo...
The last freeze shot...this was indeed, âTanaa Banaaâ, brought to life! This oneâs for posterity, for sure!
đâ¤ď¸â¨đ
Loads of Love and a heartfelt thank you to the entire cast and crew of Team TB...
A huge shout out to Danyal Zafar....you sure know how to act, and you definitely have a fan in me!đ
A special mention for Alizeh Shah...you are also a very talented young lady. TB would not have been the same, without you!đ
Moreover, Danyal and Alizeh have some superlative chemistry going...itâs effortless...itâs like they really âgetâ each other as actors! They need to be cast again and soon...maybe in an Umera Ahmed script, co-starring Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed! What a dream project that will be!đ
Last but not the least, the appreciation for TB will be incomplete without thanking the captain of the ship, Saifee Hassan (my first viewing of his work as director; had loved him as Master Ibrahim in Alif), the talented writer, Hassaan Imam, for such refreshing content, Amaanat Ali for the mellifluous OST, and finally, HUM tv, for putting together this project!đ
With that, itâs a wrap! I have got my Eidi!đ
Cheers!

I liked the ending. Zoya finally said I love you too . I really like Zain's family dynamic because it's so positive and something we don't generally see in Pakistani TV; instead we see a cunning bhabhi, greedy devar, mean saas, etc. Here everyone's fun and light about everything, even the contract! I absolutely enjoyed the show; although yes both characters had some flaws. However, at least they didn't show them as holier-than-thou or full-fledged negative.
I feel like people took this show so personally though. Stories are enjoyable when you don't have to take them to heart. Yes, Zain/Zoya had flaws but that doesn't necessarily make either of them a bad person. Just because the guy is chasing the girl, doesn't always make the girl obnoxious or annoying.
Anyways, I liked the show. Maybe a little bit more could show of Zoya-Zain romance, but it was good. Danyal has a bright future ahead.
Hey Azaan...what a lovely name, means prayer, right?
You have summarised the essence of the show so well!đ
Yes indeed, this will be a family dynamic to remember...new-age, in the true sense of the word!đ
And the beauty is that they were consistent about the depiction of it, all through...whether it was their reaction to Zain losing his job or even the contract!
A truly progressive family, especially for the subcontinent...the mother and daughter in law equation across both generations...the ghar jamai angle, and even Shahid and Zebunissaâs dynamic...very refreshing indeed, in terms of content and even the social message conveyed, within such a light-hearted framework!đ
In fact to the point that you made about people taking the storyline way too personally, couldnât agree more...was watching a Danyal Insta session video on YT....am not there on SM...hence, mujhe kaan humesha ulta pakadna padta hai (the TB reference was completely intended, as you would have guessed đ)...Danyal was saying that apparently, heâs been receiving comments with people asking him ke mard hokey yeh sab kaise bardasht kar lete ho, and all....loved his reply...âthis show is meant exactly for them!âđ
Echo your sentiments completely about the Zoya-Zain angle...if only they had got that angle right...and it need not have been a full blown romance, on the lines of Zain-Zoya...that would have been out of character for Zoya...but little touches that could have been added, to demonstrate Zoyaâs character arc (as they did Zainâs)....this gem of a show would have turned into a masterpiece!
Anyway, for a drama that gave us so much happiness and positivity, itna toh chalta hai, I guess...
TB has defo made it to my list of all time faves!â¤ď¸
Hope to talk to you soon...
Love,
DocD
P.S. Your dp is that of Imlie. Guess you are an Imlie fan...I used to love the show too, until the crap started around 2 weeks back. Hopefully, better sense will prevail, and we will get the quality of the Pagdandiya tracks back...until such time, I have definitely taken a break! No regrets...TB gave me august company!đ

Loved zain's prank đ
This was Danyal's debut show, he did a fab job as Zain . Surely he has a bright future wish him luck, look toh hai hi acha uske paasđ
Hey @sheeluneelu...kya mast user name hai aapka!đ
Your dp is that of Zahid Ahmad! Guess heâs your favourite actor! I also like him a lot too...a very fine actor...he was exceptional in Ishq Zahenaseeb!đ
A very well made point in your post...about the timing of the shartnama!đ
Agar yahi batein, pehle pata chalti (when Fauzia and Zoya had not yet struck their lovely bond)....all of Zainâs fears would have actually come true!đ
Sorry about my philosophical mood today, but yet another life lesson ismain bhi...life is all about timing, in a sense, hai na?đ
And yes, about Danyal, my love and adoration for the guy is no secret!đ
As both you and Azaan mentioned, he indeed has a bright future ahead...just didnât feel for a second that this was his debut drama...something tells me that the guy is defo a natural, but is also well-trained...as in, he has an understanding of his job...I remember in the Something Haute interview with Hassan, he said that he had done workshops etc. for his Yashraj film role. Also, if you read his Insta post that @Ctrl-Alt-Del had posted in this thread, he speaks of his rendition of the OST as breaking the 4th ceiling and all...the guy for sure is intelligent, and knows his craft!đ
The only other star actors who I have heard speak like this are Ranveer Singh and Dulquer Salman...and Danyal, is obviously much younger!
Just hope he gets and chooses the right kind of scripts...he should see major success, soon!
Amen to that!đ¤
Hope to continue interacting with you...
Love,
DocD
Have become a forever fan of Alizey and Daniyal
They had sparkling chemistry and I loved the casting of the supporting cast as well
The Saad Bahu issues had been handled aesthetically and with healthy humor which I really appreciated
Was getting tired of depressing shows
And the comedy wasnt overdone in this show like in chupkay chupkay
Everything is well if end is well.
So it ended nicely. As i have no hopes from this drama but still last episode was fine. Zoya accepted that she did that deliberately and she confessed her love.
Zain zoya are back home and everyone is happy
Hey Nina! đ¤
Glad you liked the ending, my Dear!đ
Regards Zoyaâs confession of her behaviour towards Zain being deliberate, while on the one hand, I am glad that they at least brought it up, putting to rest any doubts that the viewers may have had about Zoya being selfish with respect to Zain, etc., but on another level, I found the treatment rather lame...meaning, she very well knew that she was the fasad ki jadh...so just âtrying to teach him a lessonâ wasnât good enough, right?
For me, that indicates Zoya to be not as much of a well-written character as Zain...at least, with regards to character development...
There were some beautiful scenes which indicated Zoya understanding Zainâs unconditional love for her, as well as her reciprocating, in typical Zoya manner...sadly, they failed to bring it full circle...and, thereby, my comment earlier...the Zoya-Zain dynamic being half-baked...unlike, the Zain-Zoya one...
Also, Danyal provided a very good insight into Zoyaâs character, in his Insta session video, that I watched on YT...he was saying Zoya never loved Zain, when she got married to him...it was Zain who was hellbent on getting hitched with her!
An excellent point that explains why Zoya took the time that she did for the significant part of the drama....in developing her own comfort level and feelings, for Zain...if only, this journey had been better fleshed out, in the second half of the drama...Zoyaâs âI love you tooâ would have been complete and how!đ
Anyway, as you rightly said, allâs well that ends well!â¤ď¸
Talk to you soon, my friend...
Much love,
DocD

Hey @Abby-Jeran, guess weâre interacting for the first time...
Love the way you put it...forever fan of Alizeh and Danyal! Me too...am part of the bandwagon!â¤ď¸
Hope theyâre cast soon again...Pak dramas have this thing of repeating hit jodis, right...only hope they get a good script that does justice to their talent!đ¤
You make some other very important points as well...the quality of the supporting cast, as well as the quality of the humour...
Couldnât agree more...this was an ensemble cast in the true sense of the word....everybody added so much to every scene...after ZGH, this is the first drama that I have not had to watch, with the need for skipping scenes, etc.
It was that complete an experience, and each and every actor has contributed to the same.
Next, quality of the humour...epitomised SUPERLATIVE, in every sense of the word!đ
And, the most beautiful part, was so seamlessly well interwoven into the screenplay...into the dynamic of every equation...I mean, even the multiple connotations to the oft used âsettingâ, was brilliantly done!
Nothing seemed forced or out of place...the tuning was just right! Pun intended! đ
I havenât watched Chupkay Chupkay, but happened to catch some snippets (Daily highlightsâ scenes)...
TB beats CC by a mile!
CC is for the masses, while TB is for the classes! The beauty with TB is that theyâve managed to get the class-mass balance, just right... being able to break stereotypes, within a stereotypical format (read: drama)...and, that is where TBâs genius lies!
đđđ
On a side note, with regards to CC, I know it would be wrong of me to compare CC with any other show, since I havenât watched it, but my personal opinion is that Suno Chanda season 1 was much better than CC...making this comparison, to ensure an apple to apple one, since both of them had pretty much the same dynamic...at least, they were in the same genre...my gut tells me that CC is more like SC season 2, well-intended, but forced...and, hence, not my cup of tea!
Hope to interact with you again...
Cheers!

Exactly timing plays a very important role , in real life too.

Indeed Danyal is very talented, has a bright future.Tbh I didn't expect a great performance by him, though there's is scope of improvement in acting. The main reason to watch TB for me was Danyal Zafar .I already had decided to watch only a few episodes of TB but completed the show becoz of Zain onlyđ
I was very excited to see Ali's brother not Danyal atm as he has a tag of nepo kid. He proved all of them wrong with his performance. Wishing him more success and love.
I read all your analysis of every episode , will surely miss that. Hope to discuss a show again with you soon.
Take care.
