Was watching an old episode and noticed something. In the episode where Shiva run away after Dhara says she won’t speak to him if he quits school... he says that words and letters appear scary and confusing to him. It made me wonder if he has some form of learning disability... I don’t think the writers will go into it but it got me thinking (I know one shouldn’t overthink ITV haha).

It could just be that like many kids, he finds school boring and doesn’t want to learn. But the way he described it and the frustration made it seem like there is more. If I’m not wrong, they don’t really clarify if he joined school again in those 10 years but I always thought he finished college or at least high school.

Even though the other characters aren’t really referring to his education when they call him gawar (it’s more of his habits and appearance)... I hope they clarify whether or not he finished his studies (like they did for the others)...

This matter is quite confusing to many of us. I think majority of people doesn’t know about his Educational qualification! Or did he complete school or not?! Sooner or later Cvs Should clear this fact. And I feel hurt to see anyone else/Raavi calling him gawar! :(

I have to say this education discussion is such a good one. I'm loving reading all your views. Can I ask at what level do you consider someone to be uneducated in India? Is it someone without a degree? It might be a little bit different to where I'm from so that's why I don't always understand why he keeps getting called that.

I think the gawar and unpad parts really get to me because it can really affect anyone watching. It can easily make people feel less without meaning to, not just Shiva, but viewers. All the other insults to each other are personal and restricted to the ShiVi couple. But I can see maybe the unpad insults are perhaps needed for a bigger cause, lessons will be learnt from it eventually I hope. It's just hard to listen to.

Thanks! Honestly I have very little knowledge about the education system in India. Here in the US, having a high school diploma is the min requirement. But to secure a solid job, one needs a Bachelors or Masters. Just like you, I would like to know more as well. I do feel like everyone calling Shiva gawar and such is leading to something. Maybe him opening up and making those around him realize that it’s okay to be different and to want something different from life. But that doesn’t give them the right to call him such names. I just hope these words are not just being used to be “funny” or show “nok jhok”... it should be properly addressed esp for respect to build between ShiVi.

Watched the episode again, and now I wonder if the black shirt Shiva's wearing is Dev's.

Rishita looked frightened and probably didn't want to go on her own. Shiva's would be like I need to change and Rishita's like let me give you Dev's and hence, black shirt.

The room she came out of in the last episode is different from the room they showed before right? Cuz when Dev left, he was able to go outside directly. Unless there is a second door.
