I like how the makers have so far stayed more or less consistent with their comfort level and camaraderie, they're not even conscious about being up in each other's personal spaces or touching each other unless some external factor is involved, for eg the hesitancy with performing the marriage rituals. Raavi even hugged him in front of Mama-Mami and we see casual touches in front of family members too, like Raavi pulling Shiva's ear, so that's not something they're awkward about either.

It makes sense given their years growing up together bickering and kinda makes me wonder if Shiva calls her chipkali in the real sense of the word 🤣

I'm almost convinced there's an origin story to that nickname now, she latches on to him every time she's in distress/imbalanced and it happens quite reflexively, so I'm guessing that's something that became second nature to her through the years.

Hoping they don't change this element any time soon, it's realistic and definitely better than getting moments every time you hold hands.

My parents still keep tabs on it, but the off screen toxicity was what caused me to up and leave. I couldn't look at the actors in the same light anymore on TV and that just out and out ruined my watching experience (I'm still wondering how it's generating TRPs, but that's another question in itself)

What I like about PS so far is how each actor promotes the show and their pairing. They are doing a terrific job answering sticky questions (I always think back to how Kanwar answered the question of "Are you and Alice dating?" and his answer was just perfect. It put an end to the rumors ("I'm not her type") and it didn't ruin their friendship or the respect between them), and they are doing a wonderful job promoting each other (Think back to Akshay who posted yesterday about being excited to see ShiVi's romance). Not to mention their off-screen bond.

The whole cast and their significant others are always together up to some sort of shenanigans. Whether it is watching the sun set, going on lunch dates, just fooling around, commenting on each other's Instagram posts... It makes the show that much more heartwarming since I know their offscreen bond is just as strong as their onscreen bond!

@bold that's a million dollar question!😂

@bold&italics, did he say that? That just ruined my expectations 🥺😒

@bold...you just took the words out of my mouth

@red...probably because it has a prime time slot. However, I feel like PS will soon be at the top as it is also in a Primetime slot now and has all the elements that a story needs: romance, family bonding, laughter, and a lot of positivity and good vibes.

I am so excited, wonder how its going to play out.. horror drama and bonfire in between.

Shiva and Krish will probably build up the drama.. before Rishita decides to leave, like we saw in the BTS

Well, that's how you always find chipkalis in the same places... I've got personal grudges so totally sympathize with Shiva 😆

My lockdown-addled brain has clearly got too much free time to think up reasons for everything 😌

Speaking of which, lighthearted, kinda nonsensical shows on itv might be silly but they're giving me the good feels I need in this distressing period, PandyaFam is such a warm bunch, both on- and off-screen ❣

Never seen a show on starplus that actually explores family dynamics while being the least amount of problematic

Let's not get hung up on shipping them off-screen. If we have learned anything from Ghum, it is that we should keep the real and reel aside. They share a happy and bun bond off-screen and we should be pleased with that. If anything does happen between them then that is a bonus. (Although, personally for me it wasn't the fact that the Neil and Aish were a couple that bothered me, rather the overall constant need of attention by someone in certain that put me off. I will thank her for that because I ultimately left the show.)

@bold - He was asked this question already??😲😆 The guy answered it really well then. From what I could figure about him, he is pretty straightforward with his responses to any and every question.

The entire cast along with the actors' real life partners get along so well and perfect!⭐️ The fact that both the leads' respective partners are with them on the sets and these two are still able to pull off romantic scenes so wonderfully and even we as audience love to watch them onscreen, speaks volumes about their rapport. I remember seeing Akshay's Insta profile where he has posts with his gf. Guess only she isn't with the cast.

Yeah he did. It was within the first month of him and Alice appearing on the show. He opened up his Instagram to answer questions from the fans, and one of the questions was, "Are you two dating?" which was probably sparked by how close they were on and off screen (plus, I think almost every single actor gets asked this question at one point). He answered the question on his reel by saying, "No, I'm not her type" and Alice reposted it on her own reel.

As much as I am a fangirl for on-screen to off-screen romance, I just want my fav actors to be happy. That show really ruined my experience with all the off-screen drama and cliquey behavior the cast was showing, and I'm hoping PS can steer clear of this as well. It's why I'll be happy if #KanAli becomes a thing but I wouldn't force it or hope for it. #KanAli being besties is >>> #KanAli distancing themselves due to rumors...

I agree with you, and offscreen doesn't really bother me too.. I just love the fact that they are great friends, I was just kidding about the ruined expectations 🙈😂

And yes, for me also someone's constant attention seeking attitude and toxcity was the reason to leave the show and I'm glad I did leave it
