Well I personally will say Iqra did very well in KAM3, I have never watched her previous shows, but I think to match Feroze's screen presence is terrific, because I feel Feroze's screen presence is just so towering that it is a commendable job to match that, Iqra did well, but her character also was not written very well.
Oh very true! Its very hard to match his presence. I am not criticizing her acting skills, just that she has it in her to deliver more, just like FK does, its up to the director to do so. So far all those that he has starred with have matched his level of acting and so has Iqra
Coming back to Feroze, yes I think Farhad is 100 folds more complex than Mir Hadi, Mir Hadi's trend was from high to low, here Farhad's trend is from low to his lowest, and yes the innate naivety which he brings to this character deserves another separate post. And the character also gives him scope to portray a range of emotions, like there is a fine line between sympathy, empathy and hate for the character, and he attracts all of that at the same time. For example, I will point out his subtle change of expressions from hope to disbelief when Mahi tells him that he day dreams and Feedi reiterate by saying 'Main khawb dekhta hoo?.. Mere khwab jhootey hain'?.. That millisecond transition of expression was brilliant. You could see that how people react when delusion slaps them hard
@bold: Right! Mir Hadi's transformation was more external - from a negative to a positive person. Whereas, Farhad's is more internal - from a human being with attachments to spiritual with no attachments. This type of transformation is far more complicated & deep than physical transformation.
Reminds me of my EMBA journey - where we were asked to self reflect throughout the program. Everyone in the program saw me transform physically (pixie cut to long hair in 14 months), but that self reflection changed me more internally that no one saw & felt extremely complex to me
Anyways back to discussion - Oh I have loved his subtle changes in expression in that scene - disbelief to bitterness to reality slapping him to finally feeling the loss !! Loved loved absolutely loved him. Feeling lack of words/praises
No no, he never rejected her, I mean their banters were not even romantic, it was typical like chaddi buddies who love to fight, that is it. Baddua is a very sensitive term too, it can only come when extreme emotions and trauma collides, as I have already said Nahid and Sajal were meant to show that Feedi had women around him and he still chose the one who did not choose him. The story was more on the trajectory of self destructive love, so it is moving that way, and every human in their whole life have that one weak or worst moment where they forget what they are saying or doing, the baddua scenario was Feedi's that moment.
Ah! Got it. Well I am not buying the writer's tweets here. He may have said those only to mislead viewers further. These people will do anything in the name of TRP.
@bold: After all we all are humans. Don't they say "To Err is Human .. And to Forgive is Divine"
Yes, and Mahi justified herself very well yesterday, that I never said anything or promised anything, but well dude you were low key bullying someone's visible and attraction towards you. At least tell him sorry before breaking his delusional self. Also, as he said there is something called human instincts, yes he could be dumb enough to leave everything and come to propose her, but he acted on his instincts. Unlike many here, I completely believe that his outburst and anger was justified, just because he belongs to a lower educated back ground does not mean that he can be played. Feedi is someone who can be molded into any form with kindness I think, I think Mahi's kindness had made him blind too because she was too rich and big to be even his friend, leave being his lady love. I think his rant was right but him cursing her was wrong, he wronged the person he loves the most and that is what is the whole purpose of his character's development. He just cannot curse her no matter what she did, also he was always the better person given his compassion and life serving nature, he was always the one who listened from heart and saw people only for their goodness, he just went below his basic character traits and let his disgust overtake his every goodness. It is sad but it is coherent with many real life situations too. Blaming him for the curse is wrong but crucifying his entire plight and reducing it to zero is not, Mahi's actions wronged him and his words wronged Mahi. I love the current dynamic though, he left shattered, she is torn here, taimoor dies, he loses it and she wants him to come back, destiny will have its own plans.
See thats the premise which led him to continue insisting that she is attracted to him too - Instead of apologizing she was arguing back that it was a silly prank she played on him that she used him. If this is not blatant arrogance than what is!
@bold: Had he let her go without cursing, wouldve indirectly meant forgiving her! And he isn't that big soulfully to have let her go.
@italic: Like you said - it is coherent with real life situation. He is the bigger & better person between the two, but he too had reached his lowest point by then. You can only push someone so much and if he lashed out at her for it, he wasn;t in the wrong for doing it. Yes, he is equally guilty for doing it. But such is the journey of everybody;s lives. Until we do not get pushed to the bottom of the pit, we do not make the effort to rise above all of it.
@underline: All of it will come a full circle at the end .. so far they all have been eating up their own words (minus Taimoor - the man doesnt have many dialogues to eat his own words .. ) His - rich people arent that bad; Hers - mohabbat aur tumse? mere itne bhi bure din nahi aaye! His - you will suffer too just like I did; Her - she will!; Him - will regret; Her - she will pine for him .. !!
Here it is not TRPs only, even online viewership, not every high rated TRP show works amongst the online audience, and for KAM3, the online viewership is an all time record in itself. And funny thing is in YT the comments are more neutral like, people does not care about the baddua ..LOL
Well technically I meant - Paise ke liye sab chalta hai .. Yahan pe, paise, fame ke liye sab chalta hai
@Italic: I guess we IFers are taking this too seriously .. LOL
yes, I hope sajal shuts up with her own theory of chahat now, the best she can do is tell Mahi that she was rejected by Feedi, because Mahi has to organically believe that this man was only about her.
I dont think she is going to open her mouth here and it will be irrelevant. I dont know if Mahi needs organic validation, honestly. She is well assured that he left everything behind for her & is ready to fight her family for her !! To me, if thats not validation enough then what is!!
But the problem is his dumb self will think she is suffering for Taimoor, when in reality she will suffer for him, and that is the irony of his baddua. The writer is sadistic, he just wanted to connect Feedi with Mahi's widow self somehow, hence the baddua and subsequent life long guilt (i hope our predictions are right though). I really hope Feedi-Mahi has a whole conversation on the baddua in future, it will be great if they have one, where both are regretting their words, Feedi regretting his baddua and Mahi regretting her 'Takke ki jaazbaat'
Oh yes, that he will. Didnt he say that she will suffer too. And after all she is his one (true) love, he is bound to regret cursing her!! Had he not curse her, he wouldnt have regretted and this regret will only bring him closer to Allah warna woh khud hi khuda na ban jata?!?!
Waise, writer jaisa bhi ho - sadistic, sarcastic, realistic.. yeh ek show hai .. if they dont use such tricks then how will they achieve success .. Gaye woh din jab ZGH type shows worked without such histronics
