Issue isn't about whether him giving flowers to Malini means anything from his side or whether him giving a picture frame to Imlie was more meaningful....LOL.....the point is regarding the perception of it. Giving red roses woh bhi....not just any regular flower bouquet for a sick patient....in the wake of a situation where she pointedly made him feel like she suspected him and Imlie, then committed suicide on that suspicion, on waking up, didn't bother saying anything to the effect of - it's not your fault Aditya, for that woman, bringing red roses can only mean you want to apologize and make amends for the relationship and you accept all blame she's laying at your feet.....there is no other way to view it.
And therein lies the rub.....that on one hand he keeps claiming he can't give her what she wants anymore but then doing token gestures like this he's still sustaining the relationship.....either he's really that obtuse or it's a random blooper.....but either ways, it made his character lose conviction in that moment as Myrah also pointed out.
Adi's convictions are all he has left in this quagmire of lies he's swimming in currently....his conviction that Imlie is his truth and he must follow that truth now instead of living in the mirage he has lived in for many years. Yet, one could be forgiven for questioning his conviction on that front given how he decided to play doting husband (in terms of appearance) to Malini. There are a 100 different ways to visit a sick patient.....I'm not sure which one needs red roses to show your generic good wishes.....if indeed that is what Adi's stance is on Malini now as he claims.
As for Rupi di knowing the truth.....again I'm wondering if any of that matters since they are only using her for token scenes as one voice generally standing up for Imlie....that's it.
It doesn't change the bottom line that everyone is still more inclined towards coddling Malini and giving her the "mature grown up" treatment even when she did such an insanely childish thing and is still acting entitled over it.....not even a hint of shame on her face and she's still throwing around accusing looks....amazing.
Rupi di will also be pointless in the long run unless she has the guts to call out Malini ki bakwaas while simultaneously supporting Imlie.....otherwise this is just an exercise in tokenism. Matlab Malini is still her bhabhi in her eyes na....lol toh phir Imlie ko kyun support kar rahi hain? 😆.....that way how different is she from Adi? I get the complications of the situation but at some point these people have to pick a side....they cannot simultaneously consider Malini and Imlie as "bhabhi".....cuz Malini is a psycho who won't get it until you WRESTLE the title away from her and Imlie lacks the guts to take her rightful title.
Word on the bold...Aditya convictions are the only thing going for him, that is his major defense and if he seen shifting from that, then there is not way he can convince anybody about his right or his wrong. Right now, there is a clear cut demarcation that he changed toward Malini when he went to PD. Since PD, he has been loyal to his thinking that Imlie is the only wife he wants.. Now if he starts doing things that are outside the box of sympathy, insaniyat then he will be questioned on his intentions and nobody will be wrong in doing that.
His stance has been clear to us, his actions have indicated to his family that there is something wrong, if he backtracks now then he will stuck for life because he is in a roundabout way is giving Malini weapons to use her manipulations. He is abetting that behavior in her and I think that really needs to stop. Sach to bolna hi hain to why make bahanas that she is bimaar or suicde and coddle her based on that. bimaar to woh kal bhi thi, aaj bhi hain or hamesha rahegi... 😆
Having said that, the truth is not going to come out how much ever he tries, but I really wish that the makers stop this truth ka naara and make Aditya remove his goggles and start anlayzing why he did not feel the connect to Malini in so many years and also start seeing her manipulations and her psychotic behavior for what it is... It needs to be both Rupi DI and Aditya because Imlie is always going to be blinded by her Didi bhakti. 😆

@bold: +1....especially on the point regarding abetting of Malini's behavior....he will now very much be responsible for what comes next if he gives her mixed signals. The story has always been tricky but it now just may be in its trickiest phase yet.....how do you balance Adi's convictions alongside the complication of handling Malini without leading her on? Since she will always be busy playing victim and moaning in self-pity/suicide attempts, are you still going to continue with the delusion of how "mature" and "samajhdaar" she is or you're gonna find the goddamn guts to call her out for the spineless psycho that she is? Your own mistakes do not give her a free pass to behave this way.
If the writers don't bite the bullet on the Malini front and do aar ya paar vis a vis her and Adi, the core of the story may hollow out too much for even Adi-Imlie to salvage it.
In case it's not obvious, I'm beyond done with the perpetuation of the various delusions for propping up Malini's image. If Adi dares to call her mature and samajhdaar after all THIS also, mujhse thappad khaayega.
Beyond tired of age being considered a substitute for maturity. We could clearly see who was the more mature one amongst Malini and Imlie this week but Aditya Babu still doesn't have the guts to acknowledge what an immature psycho he was with for 7 years....while everyone still treats Imlie like a nasamajh kid....amazing. In sab so called "maturity ke putlon" se toh 100 guna mature hai humari Imlie. Khokhle faltu log.

I think I mentioned this in a separate post but there seriously is a requirement of a more clear-cut conversation between these two, otherwise, it will elongate this track inexpediently. A more thorough retrospection is required here because it is deflecting his nature to speak up like he has done so in the past. We can't expect Nishant or any other Tripathi clan people to speak up or directly ask Aditya about his problems because they are busy worshipping Malini Mata. Unless somebody takes a step with more conviction & determination, then one will run circles as to observing repetitiveness.

Malini said the same thing when she was leaving for a "break" too that "iska matlab Aditya mujhse pyar nahin karte".....aaj again wohi dialogue repeated with "haaye main lut gayi/barbaad ho gayi" crying as if we are supposed to be moved by her faltu dramas now.
And Adi's words have lost all meaning now.....hard to take his so called vows of not letting injustice happen with Imlie seriously when his param pujya Devi Malini just went one level higher in mahaanta in his mind for this twisted lie she told....such a loser you are over her, Aditya ji.....lol....
Adi is never going to be able to protect Imlie in Delhi cuz Malini will always swoop in, play the bechaari and act like she is some "guardian angel" for Imlie and Adi will happily swallow the act like she has a halo around her head.
At this point it does feel like Adi is a lost cause as a character cuz he will never be able to right the wrongs he's done.....least of all until he continues in his Malini delusions.
Anyways, hopefully PD gang will bajaao his band at some point.....maybe his darling Malini can come and save him then too since he thinks the sun rises and sets with her.....
Oh actually sorry, this story is really about a guy who thinks both the women he married are mahaan hastis....*slow claps*.....kabhi ek ki mahaanta se overwhelm hota hai toh kabhi dusri ki......lol today Malini was given the "courage" badge....amazing, wow....really.
