Screenplay
Scene 1:
After Anokhi shuts the door on Shaurya’s face, he is heart-broken and so is Anokhi. The sudden announcement of his engagement with Shagun had come as a shocker to both. Shaurya couldn’t handle himself seeing tears in Anokhi’s eyes and in a very angry mood he leaves the place.
He goes to the parking, takes his car and drives rashly. While driving the only thing he could remember was the tears in Anokhi’s eyes and he felt responsible for her miserable state. Further he had not been given an opportunity to explain himself. He is constantly thinking about what had happened during the day and while thinking he is trying to call Anokhi.
Here on the other hand a broken Anokhi is not in any condition to answer calls. She prefers ignoring them and is mourning over her pain. But Shaurya has not yet stopped calling. He is trying his level best to communicate with her.
The clock was ticking 8:30pm. And Anokhi receives a call from an unknown number. She doesn’t want to answer any calls but seeing an unknown number she tries to gather herself and answers the call.
The person on call: Hello, Anokhi ji baat kar rahi hai?
Anokhi: Haan ji. Par aap kaun baat kar rahe hai?
The person: Mujhe aapka number iss phone se mila hai. Ye jinka phone hai unka accident hua hai aur woh behosh ho chuke hai. Unke sar se kafi khoon bhi beh raha hai. Yeh koi admi hai aur woh behoshi mein aapka naam leke sorry bol rahe hai.
Anokhi is taken aback. She couldn’t believe her ears. She had understood it was Shaurya. She gasped.
The person: Hello, Anokhi ji? Hello
Anokhi: Jii haan ji main hu.. (Trying to control her emotions).. Aap please mujhe jaldi se address bhej dijiye main abhi aa rahi hu.
The person: Haan main aapko address bhejta hoon, aap jaldi aa jaiye inki halat bohot kharab hai.
Anokhi was already broken with what had happened and now after this news she was shattered.
She is searching for Babli but she is missing. She tries calling but her call is unreachable.
Anokhi: (praying to lord) Hey mata rani yeh kya ho gaya.. Please mere PS ka dhyan rakhna unko kuch mat hone dena please. Ek toh yeh Babli di bhi pata nahi kaha hai aur phone bhi nahi lag raha hai.
She texts Babli about Shaurya and leaves the place
On her way she is panicked, tensed and worried at the same time. She tries calling Ahir but in vain. She reaches the location only to see people gathered around Shaurya’s car. She is now scared and her thoughts knew no direction. Somehow she takes a step forward to see the car had brutally hit a tree. There was a major dent on the car and Shaurya inside the car was bleeding and unconscious.
She is shocked to see him in this state. Goes numb for a second or two and then gets back to herself. She asks a few people around to help her get him out of the car. Sitting at the middle of the road, the night getting darker and Shaurya’s head on her lap. Her pain knew no boundaries today. She still tried her best to handle herself and holding Shaurya’s face she tried waking him up and in between she could hear some whispers.
Shaurya: (In an unconscious state murmuring) I’m sorry Anokhi.
Anokhi is crying and trying to get him back to consciousness.
Anokhi: PS uthiye an PS please aankhe kholiye. Dekhiye main aa gayi hoon please ek baar ankhe kholiye na. PS please dekhiye na meri taraf. PS please mujhe bahut ghabrahat ho rahi hai PS please aankhe kholiye na. (Looking at the crowd and shouting out loud) Please koi paani laao.
Someone gets water. She sprinkles water over his face and Shaurya starts gaining consciousness. He is slowly opening his eyes, he’s feeling the pain of the wound.
Shaurya : (In pain) Aaah… Ahmmm
Anokhi gets a bit happy to see him coming back to his senses.
Anokhi : PS dekhiye na ek baar yaha. Main hoon aap ke sath. Main aapko kuch nahi hone dungi. Aankhe kholiye please. Yaha dekhiye PS. (She wipes the wate on his face and caresses him with love.)
And now finally his eyes open. He looks at Anokhi. She has been crying, tears rolling down her cheeks, her face scared.
Anokhi now has a sense of relief that Shaurya has gained consciousness. She is holding Shaurya’s face in her hands, looking at him with a sense of gratitude to have him back.
He tries to get up from her lap and slowly he gets up and turns towards her. He is trying to understand what all had happened till now.
Anokhi: Mata rani tera lakh lakh shukar hai tune PS ko kuch nahi hone diya.

Shaurya is looking at his lady love now who has been thanking the lord for having him back safe and sound. He felt the love which he was longing for. He felt loved, he felt wanted. For the very first time in his life someone wanted to have him. Being abandoned by his parents, burdened by the love of his uncle and aunty who always kept on reminding him every now and then that they had done a huge favor on him by loving him. And now he had someone in his life who loved him unconditionally and without asking anything in return.
Here Anokhi who had no control over her emotions at this very moment hugs him tight. A complete bone crushing hug. Her love knew no limits today. She had lost and found her love on the same day. In a fraction of second she would have lost him forever. But since they were destined they ended together.
This hug was a symbol of having the one they loved the most in their respective arms. Anokhi is happy to have Shaurya back safe and sound and Shaurya glad that she had come to save him and that she loved him exactly the way he longed to be love for his life. Both being loved in the right way.
People on the street went back leaving these two alone. After this hug she makes him sit back in the car.
Anokhi : (Concerned) Aap thik ho na PS? (Feared) Pata hai main kitna darr gayi thi…. Meri jaan nikal di thi aapne. Aise koi karta hai kya? Aap itne bade ho samajhdar ho aur aise bacho jaise gaadi chala rahe the….
Shaurya : (Cuts her in between) Bache gaadi nahi chalate.. Unhe allowed nahi hai…
Anokhi : Aapko mazak suj raha hai… (In a serious tone depicting fear) Yaha meri jaan nikal gayi thi yeh sochke ki najane kya hua hoga? Kaise hua hoga? Jab woh call aaya mujhe… Main yaha tak kaise aayi hu main khud janti hoon...
Shaurya : (Again cuts her) Aise kaise jaan nikal jati tumhari. Woh toh yaha hai na mere pass… Aur dekho kuch nahi hua hai mujhe… I’m fine…
Anokhi : Fine ka toh aap rehne hi do… Hey mata rani dekho kitna khoon beh gaya hai. (Searching) First Aid box kaha hai?
Shaurya : Pata nahi yahi pe hoga. Par maine kaha na tumse uski koi zaroorat nahi hai. Main
Anokhi : Chup; ekdum chup. Abhi main aapki ek nahi sunne wali. Itna khoon beh gaya hai. Behosh the aap PS aapko yeh sab normal lagta hai kya? Abhi aap bilkul chup rahoge aur jo main keh rahi hu woh sunoge aur jo kar rahi hoon woh karne doge.
Shaurya becomes silent. No one had treated him with this right earlier. Only Anokhi had this right. Only she had the power to make him go silent and listen to everything being told. Anokhi gets out of the car and finds the first aid box in the carriage. She comes to the place where Shaurya is sitting and opens the box. Taking a small ball of cotton and putting some amount of antiseptic liquid over it, as she is about to apply this on Shaurya’s wound he holds her hand and says
Shaurya : Yeh kya kar rahi ho tum? Main nahi lagane wala yeh sab. Maine kaha na thik hu main kuch nahi hua mujhe.
Anokhi : PS aap darr kyu rahe ho kuch nahi hota isse..
Shaurya : Kisne kaha main darta hoon. Suno main na Shaurya Sabherwal hoon samjhi, main darta warta nahi hoon kisi se. (Fumbling a bit) Woh toh yeh antiseptic se thoda sa jalta hai isliye. Yaad hai uss raat college ke bahar gundo kisne bachaya tha tumhe? Main nahi darta..
Anokhi : (Murmuring) Haan gundo se bachate hai aur antespetic se darte hai.(Giggles a bit).
Shaurya : (Trying to hear what she said) Ek minute kya kaha tumne? Kya kaha abhi?
Anokhi : (Fumbles) Maine.. Maine kuch bhi toh nahi.. (Changes the topic) Arey PS kuch nahi hoga. Main ek dum dheere se lagaungi aapko pata bhi nahi chalega; aur jalega bhi nahi. Yaha dekhiye meri taraf.
And with a lot of care and affections Anokhi dresses his wound.
Shaurya : Aaaggghhh… Dekho maine kaha tha na… Jalta hai yeh mujhe nahi lagwana.
Anokhi : (Trying to calm him) Sorry PS bas thoda sa hi bacha hai… (She blows some air out of her mouth to give him a soothing effect; she could see the pain he had. So she tries diverting him) Waise aap ko pata hai PS mujhe bhi na bachpan mein inn sab cheezon se bohot drr lagta tha fir na mummy ji mujhe malam lagane ke kahaniya sunaya karti thi. Main unn kahaniyon mein kho jat thi aur mummy ji ka kaam bhi ho jata tha.
Shaurya is completely engaged in what she was saying. He could partially feel the pain but Anokhi had engaged him in talks making him intrigued.
Anokhi : Dekhiye ho bilkul waise hi jaise abhi maine aap ko malam lagaya aur aapko pata hi nahi chala. (Smiling a bit at a confused Shaurya who was still wondering that it was already done.) Aap na bilkul bachche ho PS.
Shaurya : (Coming back) Oh hello, main koi bacha nahi hu samjhi. Tum hogi bacchi main nahi. (Murmuring) Ek toh pata nahi kya laga diya itna jal raha hai upar se bacha bol rahi hai.
Anokhi : Aapne kuch kaha kya PS?
Shaurya : Nahi toh maine thodi kuch kaha… Tum bolne kaha deti ho kuch kehne ke liye..
Anokhi : (Getting offended) Main.. Main bolne nahi deti.. Waah! Matlab aap aise gusse mein kuch bhi karo, fir aake aapko sambhalu bhi main aur fir main hi bolne nahi deti.. Mujhe na baat hi nahi karni aap se.
Shaurya : (Understanding that he has offended her) Acha sorry. Suno na please sorry main aise hi mazak kar raha tha. You know I’m a changed person now. Toh thoda..
Anokhi : (Cuts him in between) Toh kya toh? Badal gaye hai toh kuch bhi kahenge? Uss din Babli di ke samne Stupid bol diya.. Abhi yeh..
Shaurya : (Trying to persuade her) Arey sorry bola na maine. Firse bol raha hoon sorry… Bas? Abhi chale wapas?
Anokhi : (Nods in assertion) Haan… Par jayenge kaise? Aap drive kar paoge?
Shaurya : Dekhte hai.. Thoda dard toh ho raha hai… Tum aao na gaadi mein baitho…
Anokhi gets inside the car. Shaurya tries to start but the car doesn’t start. He tries again but in vain. Both of them were confused as to why the car was not starting. After multiple failed attempts both of them get out of the car.
Shaurya : Lagta hai gaadi kharab ho gayi hai. Toh hume shayad koi taxi ya kuch aur dekhna padega.
Anokhi : Haan.. Woh sab toh thik hai par yaha door door tak na koi auto nazar aa raha hai na koi taxi. Aur humara hotel bhi kafi door hai yaha se.
Shaurya : (Looking at the clock. It showed 10 pm) Kafi late bhi ho gaya hai. Auto aur taxi ka intezaar karenge toh subah ho jayegi. Ek kaam karte hai…
Anokhi : Kya PS?
Shaurya : Yaad hai uss din Kapurthala se Chandigarh wapas aate waqt hum raasta bhatak gaye the?
Anokhi : (Cuts hin in between) Hum nahi aap PS (smiles looking at him)
Shaurya : Acha thik hai correction… Main rasta bhatak gaya tha… Aur woh humari unofficial long drive hui thi. But aaj mauka bhi hai gaadi bhi kharab hai… Toh aaj main tumhe ek official long walk pe leke chalta hoon.
Anokhi : (Smiles at him) Haan toh fir chale?
Shaurya : Haan chalo.

They both are walking on the unknown streets of Goa. The night is getting darker and cozy. The sky has no stars today but some scattered clouds here and there playing hide and seek with the moon. Slow breeze blowing Anokhi’s long hair. The leaves of the tree shaking. The coolness in the weather increases.
Shaurya notices something about Anokhi. It looked as if she was hungry. But so was he. Both silently walk and Shaurya breaks the ice.
Shaurya : Kya hua? Bhook lagi hai?
Anokhi : (Looking at him with a small face) Haan.. Par aapko kaise pata?
Shaurya : Tumhe kehne ki zaroorat nahi hai Anokhi tumhe dekh kar samajh jata hoon main ki tumhe kya chahiye. Wait a minute I have something for you.
Anokhi : (Laughing) Nahi… PS nahi..
Shaurya : (Laughing back and shies away) Haan… Wohi… Protein Bar…
Anokhi : (Giggling) Ek baat batao PS yeh Protein Bar jeb mein leke kaun ghumta hai…
Shaurya : (Shying again with a smile) Main…
They both were giggling over this protein bar bond they had and this time unlike the previous both of them shared it half.
Anokhi : (Looking at the wrapper) Yeh toh khatam ho gaya… Abhi?
Shaurya : Abhi… Abhi yaha se thoda aur chalne pe ek beach side restaurant hai waha chalte hai?
Anokhi : (Tired of walking) Aur kitni door hai?
Shaurya : Kya hua Miss Bhalla? Itni jaldi thak gayi?
Anokhi : (In a tired tone) Haan PS thoda sa.. Aur woh aaj maine heels bhi pehne hai na.. Adat nahi hai mujhe..Toh pair bhi dard kar rahe hai thode..
Shaurya takes her to the corner of the road and makes her sit on the milestone. He gets down to his knees and removes her sandals. Anokhi is shocked to see him doing this.
Anokhi : Arey yeh aap kya kar rahe hai PS. Mere pairon ko kyu hath laga rahe hai aap… Please uthiye na aisa acha thodi lagta hai. Koi dekhega toh kya soche ga..
Shaurya : Yehi sochega ki dekho kitna khayal rakhta hai apni Girlfriend ka.
Anokhi : (Surprised and Blushing) Girlfriend….
Shaurya : Haan… (Teasing) Kyu nahi ho?
Anokhi : Nahi..
Shaurya : (Teasing her again) Acha nahi ho
Anokhi : (Blushing) Nahi matlab hoon.
Shaurya : (Teasing again) Nahi matlab hoon… Hoon matlab nahi… Arey saaf saaf batao na…
Anokhi : (Looks at him in his eyes) PS… (Shies away) Kyu chhed rahe ho...
Shaurya : (Pretending) Main.. Main kaha chhed raha hoon. Maine toh kuch bhi nahi kiya…
Meanwhile he removes her sandals and carries them in his hands. Also he gives his Sneakers to her. Anokhi trying to fit in those sneakers.
Shaurya : Dekho main janta hoon thode bade hai… But abhi adjust kar lo…
Anokhi : Woh toh thik hai PS but aap kya pehenoge?
Shaurya : Main kuch nahi…
Anokhi : (Amused) Aap nange paon chaloge? Nahi PS aap apne sneakers pehen lijiye main nange paon chalungi. Mujhe toh waise hi aadat hai. Aap ko yeh sab karne ki zaroorat nahi hai main theek hoon.
Shaurya : Maine kaha na main nange paon chalunga tum nahi. Main janta hoon tumhe shayad aadat hogi but aaj ke baad nahi.
Anokhi is mesmerised by this gesture. Her eyes are filled with tears of joy. She was being loved by someone to this extent for the very first time. She was not only being taken care of but also being protected, loved and understood. But since her man was walking bare feet how could she walk? She takes off the sneakers and carries them in her hand. And now both are walking bare feet on the road. Shaurya sees her doing this act and gets emotional. Without letting her know he quickly wipes off the tear drop which has stood at the corner of his eye.
Shaurya : Yeh kya kar rahi ho tum? (Feeling obliged) Tumhe yeh karne ki zaroorat nahi hai…
Anokhi : (Looking into his eyes with gratitude and wet eyes) Zaroorat to aapko bhi nahi hai PS mere sandals aise hath mein leke chalne ki....
Shaurya : Meri baat alag hai, Anokhi. Tum aise mat karo lag jayega kuch pair mein.
Anokhi : Isse pehle bhi bohot se raaston pe kaaton ko dekha hai PS, tab toh main akeli thi. (Teary eyed) Aaj aap ho mujhe sambhalne ke liye.
Shaurya : (Looking at her with misty eyes) Main hamesha rahunga.. I promise.
And they were walking on a complete empty road having some soulful conversations. Trying to gather themselves and a part of each other that they carried within themselves. They reach the beachside restaurant. It is a beautiful place for a date night. The entrance of the restaurant has some beautiful lighting hanging on the trees. The interior is decorated in a typical Goan style. An orchestra band playing the Goan music.

They get in so see no table is empty despite the odd hour of 11 pm. Shaurya goes to the manager to arrange a table for two asking Anokhi to wait aside.
Shaurya : Excuse me. Ek table arrange ho sakta hai do logo ke liye?
Manager : Sorry sir abhi toh sab full hai dekho kahi bhi jagah nahi hai. Thoda time lagega.
Shaurya : Kitna time fir bhi?
Manager : Sir kamse kam aadha ghanta toh lagega.
Shaurya : Aadha ghanta? Time toh dekho. It's already late, aur tum aadha ghanta bol rahe ho. Dekho na kuch arrange ho sakta hai toh…
Manager : Sir nahi kar sakte kuch thoda wait to karna padega. Please sir try to understand, aaj ek party hai yaha isliye thoda extra rush hai. Thodi der mein yeh log chala jayega phir aapki arrangement karwa deta hoon.
Shaurya : Thik hai par jaldi karo. (Leaves)
He comes to Anokhi and nods in no. She understands what he says.
Anokhi : Abhi?
Shaurya : Abhi kuch nahi chalo wapas apne hotel.
Anokhi : PS nahi…(Tired tone) Mujhse aur nahi chala jayega..
Shaurya : (Smiles) Arey mazak kar raha hoon.. Thoda sa waiting hai par koi nahi.. Chalo tab tak hum beach pe ghumte hai. Dekho mausam bhi bohot acha hai.
Anokhi : (Almost about to cry) PS nahi na.. Aur nahi chalna.. Please baith jate hai na yaha.. (Sits on the floor)
Shaurya : (Holds her hand and makes her stand) Arey chalo na thoda aage chal ke baithate hai.. Yaha aise entrance pe nahi. Chalo chalo chalo. Bas thoda sa aage. (Takes her along with him holding her hand).
They go a bit ahead on the beach towards the sea and find a place to sit where there is no one around. There is a mild breeze, the waves making noise as it approaches the shore, moonlight all over the sky making the atmosphere serene.
Anokhi : (Curiously) PS sach bataiye.. Aap mujhe yaha kyu laaye? Main dekh rahi hu kabse aapke dimag mein kuch chal raha hai.
Shaurya : Yes.. Miss Bhalla you guessed it right. Mujhe tumse kuch baat karni thi. Aaj jo kuch bhi hua. Main sach mein nahi janta tha ki Badi maa aise aa jayengi aur yeh aise enagagement ki announcement kar degi. Main unhe ye saaf saaf keh ke aaya hoon ki main kisi aur se pyaar karta hoon.. Shagun se nahi… Unhe shayad koi galat fehmi ho gayi hai.
Anokhi : (Gets emotional) Aap jante hai PS mera dil toot gaya jab maine woh sab hote hue dekha. Apni aankho se, apne birthday wale din; yeh sab na ek sadme ki tarah aaya mere samne. Main samajh hi nahi paa rahi thi ki kya ho raha hai mere sath.
Shaurya : I know Anokhi main janta hoon isliye tumse milne bhi toh aaya tha par tumne meri koi baat nahi suni. Main tumhe aise rote hue aisi tooti hui halat mein nahi dekh sakta. Aur meri samajh mein nahi aa raha tha ki kya karu… Aur
Anokhi : (Continues his sentence) Aur aapko gussa aa gaya aur gaadi leke nikal gaye. Aap apne gusse ko control kyu nahi karte PS. (In a concerned tone) Aap ne kabhi socha hai aaj kuch bhi galat ho jata aapke sath toh kya hota? Apna chodiye apni family ka sochiye. Aap Ki badi maa woh bohot pyaar karti hai na aap se. Unka kya hota? Shaan sir ka kya hota? Aastha ma’am ka kya hota? Kabhi socha hai aapne? Aur inn sabke sath. Mera kya hota? Aapko koi andaza hai iss baat ka?
Shaurya went into a process of realisation of what he had done. It was not a small mistake. It could have put his life at stake. He was understanding her concern and at the same time realising his mistake.
Shaurya : I’m sorry Anokhi. Dobara aisa nahi hoga. Tum thik keh rahi ho. Infact tum hamesha mujhse yeh kehti aayi ho ki mujhe apne gusse pe control rakhna chahiye aur main hi har baar yeh galti karta hoon. Lekin iss baar nahi. Aaj ke baad main kabhi aape se bahar nahi hounga aur apne gusse ko control karne ki koshish karunga.
Anokhi is happy that finally she managed to convince him to control his anger and now since that he has promised he won’t do it again because Shaurya never broke his promises.
Anokhi : PS aap yehi rukiye main bas ek minute mein aayi.
She goes running near the restaurant and from there she plucks a leaf of Areca palm plant which was planted at the entrance and turns the leaf into a ring by tying knots appropriately. She comes back to Shaurya again. He is confused as to what happened and why was she behaving like this.
Shaurya : (Confused) Kya hua? Kya kar rahi thi tum?
Anokhi : (Hiding the ring she made) Nahi kuch nahi. (Trying to change the topic) Acha PS aap mere liye koi gaana ga sakte ho abhi please?
Shaurya : (Confused again as to why she had a strange demand all of a sudden) Gaana? Abhi kyu? Uss din toh gaaya tha holi pe..
Anokhi : Uss din sab the na waha.. Woh students ke liye gaaya tha. Aaj, abhi, yaha mere liye gaiye na please. (She insists him a lot)
Shaurya : (Finally agrees) Acha thik hai batao kaunsa gaana sunogi?
Anokhi : Koi bhi jo aap chaho..
Both of them are sitting alone at the beach under the moonlight and Shaurya starts singing for her.
Shaurya : Hum chup rahe… Kuch na kaha… Kehne ko kya baaki raha… (Looks at her in a romantic way) Ho… Hum chup rahe…. Kuch na kaha… Kehne ko kya baaki raha… (They share an eye lock) Bas aankho hi aankho mein… Izhaar ho gaya…
Anokhi : (Pulls out the ring she made and continues with him) Hum sochate hi reh gaye… Aur Pyaar ho gaya…
Shaurya is surprised to see this gesture of Anokhi. He stands in the place where he was sitting and Anokhi kneels on the ground and asks him
Anokhi : PS… Maine kabhi nahi socha tha ki meri zindagi mein aisa koi din aayega… Ki main aisa kuch karungi but jabse aap se pyaar hua hai na main bhi badalne lagi hoon. Toh aaj main Anokhi Bhalla aap se poochti hoon Mr. Shaurya Sabherwal I love you the way you love me and I know it. So would you like to spend the rest of your life with me? (Showing him the ring she made)
Shaurya : (In a complete surprise. He is awestruck. He kneels down to her level) Anokhi, I love you too. (Kisses her on her forehead) Main tumhe propose karne wala tha aaj tumhare birthday but things turned around and see you just made it the way I wanted it to be. Infact tumhari yeh ring ne iss moment ko aur jyada special bana diya. You gave me that moment “Our Moment” which I always wanted to have. Thank You so much.
Anokhi puts that ring in his finger. He stands and makes her stand as well. They both hug each other. The hug of love, acceptance, appreciation and beyond all the respect for their relationship. Both of them walk hand in hand towards the restaurant. They get in and order food.
Shaurya : Baki toh nahi pata par ha yaha khana tumhe zaroor pasand aayega.
Anokhi : Woh kyu? Aap jante hai yaha kaisa khana milta hai?
Shaurya : Nahi janta toh nahi hoon par itna zaroor keh sakta hoon ki woh mere protein bar se zaroor tasty hoga.. (Giggles)
Anokhi : (Laughs) Ha woh toh hoga hi.
