Some days back I was seeing the early episodes. Prakashi never tried to convince Vir for remarriage. In fact she told Mama Sarkar also that this is his personal choice n we should not force him. In the hospital when Vir tells Mama Sarkar that he is ready to marry, she is very shocked.
