Noooo!! Pallavi can't die before Raghav confesses his love 😟😟.

Now no one can save Ved from Raghav's rage not even god. How dare he snatch away the ray of light and hope in his life.....

This is so heartbreaking. Please continue soon. I can't wait to see how this unfold.

Chapter 6

R - I am here. Start counting ur time.

He entered the ‘The Player Bar’ and a pair of eyes were quite keen on his arrival.

R - Where is he?

Security - Go back u r not..

The next thing the guard felt was his head smashing the glass table. Raghav grabbed the bottle and the crash and spilling blood from the head of other guard painted the story. The security rushed in but they didn’t knew that a devil had just walked in the bar. The first knife slash cut right through his chest. But the pain seemed to have lost his meaning. The punches followed. Bottles cracked. Heads smashed. Chairs broken. And when dust settled... a bloodied figure was left standing. The massacre just ended was decorated on the walls and in agony of piles of bodies lying around. Blood dripping from every inch of his body was inseparable to know if it was his or from the blood bath that just happened? Hundreds of agonizing voices outside still there was only one he can hear.

"I believed I can have my fairytale ending."

R - Pallavi......

The pain in her voice still haunting him.

A steel rod hit the back of his head and he falls on the ground.

-x-x-x-x-x-x-

R - U r a very bad sport Pallavi Deshmukh. I pranked u so good and u r behaving like a sour loser. Its been 2 hours now.

She was looking outside car window ignoring all comments made from the time they left from restaurant.

R - See if I had any option then I wouldn't be talking to u. But its late and I m feeling sleepy. So talk to me.

She gave him a look and again started staring out.

So... u will ignore me. Alright then.

He put on the gas and the car started to feel the race.

Now u have to say something. U can't ignore me now, do u?

Car started gaining pace. It was hitting higher numbers and she kept staring out.

Is she mad or what?

R - Pallavi Deshmukh... I will jump from this cliff if u didn't spoke anything now.

She gave him a stare.

P - What?

R - So u don't want me to jump?

He was giggling like a child who just got candy.

P - If u have to talk nonsense than I have better things to do.

She said again turning towards window.

R - No.. No... I was just thinking, u didn't commented on how u liked my prank? Ur face told the whole story but I prefer words for my ingenious performance.

P - It was as low class and sick as u r.

R - What??? Don't tell me. U totally bought into it. U believed every word I said. So don't play like it was dumb.

P – What… what u think that it affected me? Or somehow I was lost in possibilities of us being a thing. If u think so then u r as stupid as u look. What do u think that hearing what u said there, on that table made me feel what u said? It made me think for the first time after a long time that I can also have a life where for once I can truly say what I want. It made me think that this whatever is between us two, I felt like I can believe in this and for the first time in my life, I believed I can have my fairytale ending like the childhood stories I used to read sitting by my bedside in which at last prince and princess live happily ever after. No.. Raghav Rao, it was nothing like that. I hated ur sick joke and I hate u. And more than that I hate myself to ever think that u can be that prince charming and for believing in this marriage and u to be my husband.

The air became thicker. She said to him what she might not even have said to herself. It was dark night but even in slight flicker of lights He can clearly see her tears rolling down her eyes. There was a long silence engulfing them. Even nature seemed to have lost its voice. The night seemed silenced by the pain she had held up inside her for so long. It was silent. Everything was silent.

And then the phone rang. Raghav got out of trance and picked the call.

R - Hell... (Slight cough) Hello.. who's there?

V - Hello old friend.

R - Who is this?

V - Don't tell me u forgot me. Ur friend... ur business partner. U r disappointing me now.

R - Ved?? How dare u call me and when u got out of jail?

P - Ved?

Raghav nodded.

V - So much concern... I have tears in my eyes. My friend thinks so much about me and now I have to attend his funeral.

R - What rubbish are u talking about?

V - Check ur brakes my old friends. U r on ur last ride, so I thought to give my regards. See u in hell my friend. RIP.

The brakes were out. Raghav tried multiple times and he knew he had no options. Pallavi also saw and understood the situation they are in. He jammed his car to the hill side to brush and slow it down and suddenly he started unbuckling her seat belt.

P - What are u doing?

R - Brakes are down and we don't have any other way. U need to jump out. As the car slows down. U have to get out of this car.

She looked in his eyes. A smile graced her face.

P - Raghav look....

She shouted making him look towards the road and immediately she unbuckled his seat belt, unlocked his side gate and pushed him. He rolled out hitting bushes to halt his fall.

As he looked up, he was clearly able to see her face. In all this darkness, she was the only light he had. She had a smile. A serene, peaceful smile.

R - Pallaviiiiiii.......

And the car went off the cliff.

This story felt so realistic-this is so awesome. I don't know how but I had tears reading the above part.

Pallavi is not dead right? I don't want her dying now.😭

Chapter 7

V - Wake him up. Throw some water on him.

A bucket of splashed water over his head washes away blood making all the wounds visible. Atleast all the one's that doesn't matter to him.

R - Ved...

He teethed as he opened his eyes from his paradise to the world of living.

V - Yes... Urs truly and only best friend.

He kept staring at ved.

V - What... no reply? No Raghav Rao’s special dose of overconfidence. C'mon Raghav, don't be a sour loser. U need to have known that I will outplay u which is not a new thing of course. I always outplayed u in college too, Remember??? Thats y u named me 'The Player'.

Raghav doesn't seem to be in same conversation. The only voice that can be heard by him was visible in his eyes. The anger in them looked like a bad omen.

V - Its not fair. I am talking to u but no reply. U seems to be angry. Is the ropes not comfortable or the chair. See I had to tie u up as u had clearly taken care of my security, worthless assholes. I paid them so much and they... Sorry... I digress. So what I was saying?

R - Y her?

He spoke gravely and words finally saw light of day.

V – Voila…. So his majesty speaks. Sorry I didn’t get u...what u said?

R - Y... u involved her?

The anger dripping from every syllable he uttered.

V – Her? Oh… It was just a collateral. U see... I planned to kill only u and believe my surprise when I got so lucky. Two for the effort of one.

His breath started fuming.

V - Wooo... wooo... control man. Ok to tell u the truth, I didn't had any issues with her. It had to be u... God knows how the hell she accompanied u. Do these wife types have some danger radar or what? I should get one of those for sure then. Still I thought no issues... I can get my kill but again that savitri of urs saved u. It was so frustrating. All the planning, all that effort wasted because a girl who u don't even consider ur wife can't let u die.

She died. She is dead for me. No she died because of me.

He started falling to demons of his own minds when her name broke his thoughts.

V – Pallavi… Ya Pallavi was her name right? She was the real pain man. Before also... now too. She almost caught my men in ur house. But credit where credit is due, at last she helped me. Get me what I wanted all along. See, she saved u from falling off the cliff but her death surely placed u for ur death. It was really too easy with all ur threats in public to her. A video here, a few witnesses there. The judge didn't even felt the need to hear anything.

She didn't need to come. She never needed to come. I should have died not her. I should have been dead not her. It was for me. It has to be me. Y u did that Pallavi? Y u did that?

His eyes were not able to hold that pain.

V – Hey.. Hey... now what I see here. Raghav Rao... The Raghav Rao crying and for what... for that little bitc...

The wooden chair hit Ved's head before he can complete that sentence and the next thing he knew was the punches he felt on every part of his face. Raghav unfurled all the rage he has kept inside himself for so long. Each punch breaking every bone of Ved's body till the time he fell on the ground. Raghav stood in front of him as death incarnate. Ved somehow got up to grab a bottle. Raghav stepped towards Ved and a bottle smashed over Raghav’s head. The blood dripping but his legs never stopped. Again another bottle hit him and again Raghav kept his gaze and his move towards Ved.

V - How r u still standing...?

He kept throwing glass and Raghav kept coming forward.

V - U can't be standing... U shouldn’t be standing by now…. U shouldn't be alive even....

And Ved hit the rod blow to his incoming death. But the next thing he felt was a hand at his neck and a pair of eyes staring at him with blood dripping all over it. He was not a believer but in that second he called on every god of every faith that he can remember. But no one could help him. The lord of death himself seemed to be standing in front of his eyes.

R - U should have killed me.

His grip started tightening on Ved's neck.

R – U should have killed me million times over and more. U should have cut me. U should have burned me alive. U should have sliced me into pieces then again and then again more pieces. But u didn't do that. U harmed her. U harmed the only person u shouldn't have. U really don't know whom u killed... do u?

His voiced foreshadowing menace that was about to come. The grip keeps on tightening.

R - U killed the light to my darkness, U killed warmth to my heart, U killed beats to my breath, U killed peace to my pain. U killed her. U.. killed her. U killed herrr….. U killed my reason to breath. U killed my reason for hope. U killed my reason for life. U killed my wife, Pallavi Raghav Raooooo.

Clutches tightening. Eye balls pushing to come out. Ved’s appointment at hell was almost but fixed.

Raghav stop!!!! He will die.

A voice.

The grip fall. His hand lost their strength. His heart forgot to beat and his chest gave up the breath. He felt pain. He felt anxiety.

A voice. That voice. No… The voice.

His eyes forced to turn towards that direction.

The police barged in. Gathering and cleaning up everyone. There was chaos in the room but his eyes were stuck. He kept staring to the direction of voice. Looking, almost begging. And then he saw. He freezed. He stood there. He stood there and then… his knees gave in. He fell to the floor but his eyes never lost the contact.

The face. Those eyes. Those... eyes.

Pallavi!!!

Epilogue

P - U love me?

R - What? What kind of question is this?

P - Answer me. Do u love me?

R - Ofcourse I love u my dear wife. Y r u asking this?

P - Then y u let me die Raghav?

R - What?

P - Tell me... y u let me die?

R - Pallavi...

He woke up. Terrified. Sweating. Grasping for air.

R - Pallavi... Pallaviiii...

Farhad came running to the room.

F - Anna... what happened? R u alright? R u fine anna?

He felt choked. No air. His breath stopping.

F - Anna relax. Water... anna drink this. Have some water.

Farhad put glass near his mouth but the water was never able to make way. He felt the heat. The pain rising again. The eyes going down and the breath taking off.

P - Raghav... Raghav calm down. Relax. Its just a panic attack. Its fine.

Her face. Her eyes. Its not a dream. She is here. She is…here.

She held his hand and started rubbing on his back.

P - Breath.. Calm urself. Everything is fine. U r in ur room. No danger here.

His breath seemed calming down. The panic muffing. The choking subsiding and the pain giving way to warmth. And the very next moment he pulled her and embraced her in his arms.

R - Pallavi...

He hugged her. He hugged his life. All the pain, all the suffering, all the guilt everything died down for that moment. He had what he thought will never be possible again. He had his world in his arms and in this moment everything melts out. Only two souls have place in that moment. His and Hers. Its just for them. Its their bliss. Its their moment.

P - Raghav...

Her voice brought him into reality. He felt something missing. He felt that. He realized the emptiness of that moment. It was one soul in the moment. It was one’s bliss. It was not their moment. It was his.

He loosened his grip and pulled back.

R - Pallavi...

The surroundings wore the garb of silence. Chaos was swirling in one and calmness of cold in other. The communication was loud but there were only two pairs of eyes in the room which can listen to those words and they chose silence.

R - Farhad... how I get here?

The voice was back to its authoritative self.

F - Ved was arrested and Vahin....

Both had their gaze turned towards him.

F - Pallavi... Pallavi Ji is alive, so police dropped all the charges.

Raghav again gave a hard look.

F - And Vahi... Pallavi Ji was thrown out of the car before it fell down. Ved kidnapped her to frame u in her murder charge. She was able to escape and call police when u broke all those chairs... tables... glasses and yes guards in the bar.

Raghav turned back to the eyes looking at him and again the silence started to talk.

F - Anna.. I will take a leave.

He waited a bit for the response never meant to come and then left.

She broke the lock and finally turned to leave.

R - Y?

She stood there. Then turned back.

P - Would have done for anybody. I can't leave anyone in danger. Anyone... even if it is the guy I hate the most in the whole world.

He had a smile.

R - And what u said in car..? Was that to...

P - It was a prank. It was exactly what u did to me. I just gave u taste of ur own medicine.

He kept looking her in the eye.

P - It never meant and never will ever mean anything. It was that... just a prank.

Room again went silent. There were lot of noises. Lots of questions. Lots of answers. But the two people who can hear it remain silent.

R – It’s a saying that Love and hate are two sides of the same coin.

P – Oh…that’s so. I burned the damn coin the very day u forced me into this marriage. The day u came to my house and ruined my dignity in front of my family. The day u put my Baba in hospital and the day when u put my brother in jail. So don't keep any misunderstanding. I would like to die than being in this marriage for a single second more. I m here because of my family and so r u. So lets keep it that way. I will never take u as my husband and thats a promise of Pallavi Ra...

She stopped. She can’t complete that sentence. Her throat felt heavy.

He kept his stare. A smirk comes up.

R - Good. So we r on same page then.

P - Very much.

She said and turned to move towards the door. Raghav tried getting up but his hand slipped. A moan went out.

P - Ragha..

She turned. Her eyes failed her again. Exactly how it was failing her the whole time. Raghav saw them and had a smile. He thundered.

R - Farhad... Ur vahini has decided to make my room her abode. Be a good brother in law and help her shift.

Her face turned furious. She turned and move out of the room and as she moved further her expression moved from anger to hurt to plight.

It was my fault. I dreamed fairytale ending. I knew everything. I knew what he felt. Still. Still I dreamed of us. It was my fault.

Her tears tried to wash the pain she felt but when does the raging fire be tamed by mellow breeze.

His eyes were dry. The heart went cold. All the warmth has vanished. The fire died down. The light went out and the darkness creeps in. The life left his eyes and a cold dead stare seized the absence.

She is right. Even though she didn't meant a word she said but she is right. She don't deserve this. She don't deserve pain. She don't deserve hurt and I… I can never deserve her.

An eye was wet. An eye was dry. He swallow to the darkness. She emits the light.

I don't deserve her.

It was my fault.
