Sawai Bhatt to quit? - Page 2

Thanks Himesh sir for advisung Sawai Bhatt for staying in the show.

I understand that he may have personal issues but somehow his appeal to leave didn’t sound convincing. He said she was not well for months or something and I think she was on the sets a few weeks ago. I am not saying he is lying but leaving the stage now would be foolish. They make money per episode, I think and he can help out his parents more if he stayed on as long as he can.

He is good in the genre he sings in. I am not a fan of high pitched singing. I never liked Salman Ali but I feel this Sawai Bhatt is better than Salman Ali.
He needs to show more confidence in himself. He is so aloof from the rest. By now he should be comfortable with the other cast and crew and the stage.

It was always my understanding that no money is paid to Indian Idol contestants other than prize money for the show. They do get paid for promos, participating in Sony Awards show, any ads they do for Sony etc. But zilch for everyday singing on the show. Top 3 or 4 get rewarded with Sony Co-sponsored Shows abroad where the earnings are very good.

May be the whole thing is a created drama and they just want to make sure that he gets a ton of votes. He has not been doing that well singling wise the last few episodes which is why they may have resorted to this. All this is my guess.

Sony is getting so much backlash on Instagram for creating this drama for TRP or votes for Sawai.
