I see. Now I understand why her full family is invited to the show in every season.Originally posted by: mickymouse21

Neha..just going by her reactions when any guests from music industry r giving their feedback to the contestants..she is mostly clueless and goes on like Haan, sahi, hmm, mujhe bhi aisa laga etc.
None of them actually give constructive feedback anyways but other two r competent music directors and listen to what guests have to say.
I don't think it's coz of audience reaction..ever since the start of the season all they do is praise to the skies for what they like and subdued praise for others. And of course the weather keeps changing.
Praise and all even us less talented audience can do..judges r qualified and supposed to judge.
About the format..what to say..some sing duets, some triplets, some singles on the same day and same theme too..sometimes chorus sings more than the singer..
I wish they have an episode dedicated to folk songs theme

They will not do that with this set of singers. They did it in earlier Idols.
I would love a folk theme. It is a part of our heritage.
Sorry, wrong thread.

Really? This explains why Nehu gets more screen time than all contestants combined and other than her ongoing nautanki, she has nothing to contribute. She should go into acting as she can be comical. Her singing gives me headaches
All judges are great and better than those who are judging those judges here.
Imo they need experienced, veteran singers on the panel. I’m not against having music directors (they can be helpful bc they know what is required for playback) but there needs to be balance. Personally don’t find Vishal/Himesh to be great singers, Shankar Mahadevan is an example of a composer who is also a classically trained singer.
Also worth noting that this is the same platform that had Farah Khan and Sonakshi Sinha as judges at one point. For a SINGING show. I rest my case 😂

Indian Idol went through a phase when they wanted a performer rather than an artist. Their concept of an Idol was a package who could be iconic for trendy youth of India. Sourabhee Debbarma (season 4 winner) is a good example of that. Sonali Bendre was a judge in that season. I think this trendy thing failed as the audience is essentially homebound seniors and housewives. So they changed tack completely from Season 10 and concentrated on showcasing pure singers with great results. They still have this underlying thing of presentability to go with the brand image - but that is now secondary. But the idea lingers in the minds of the makers and they push contestants who they think will be a role model for todays aspiring young singers.
