Adi bhai ne likha hai....

Couldnt hold back- my version of update on April 24 episode. (Apologies for Hindi grammar mistakes- not very strong there):

Yesterday we got a glimpse into Imlie’s thoughts ..Imlie ke hisaab se sab simple hain...she is so traumatized that every one is going to blame her for The broken Adi- Ni relationship.

Today we still find her doobofying in that guilt. But for me the highlights were the : sweet moment of support of Rupi didi for Adilie and Adi- bringing Imlie's focus back to her dream (and she actually listens 🤗).

The episode starts with Ts suffocating Adi even more. Its dhamki dhamaka- he gives a dhamki that if they dont give him space- I have no idea what I will do and then Aparna gives one to match that- (aakhir maa kiski hai) - that you better bring me back Malini and then Tripathiji Sr. thinks why should I always lag behind- rakh lo- mera bhi ek chetavani.

And then the brother of all, especially of Malini- Nishant (who still cannot fill in the blanks "PD-wahan mera-zabardasti _____"🤔) approaches Adi with a sincere plea and public health warning- "pls go talk to Malini- you have no idea what she did here last time (when you were gone)". Dhruv seconds that- "She is sick, Adi"...We know Dhruv- we know.... I mean THAT scene- where she was frothing-over Imlie wearing sindoor to college? I dont know- that just didnot seem normal to me....But the Tripathis have serious thrill issues because they cant enjoy this peace in the household and want Malini back.

Adi leaves to take some solace and kind advice from Editorji (he went to work) and Nishant suddenly notices Imlie looking very concerned and suddenly has doubts about her. So very painfully we watch as he kinda sorta clutches at the half-truth but as expected goes off on the wrong road about Imlie (fill in the blanks, man. Fill in the blanks)

At the C mansion- Malini is waiting to lash out at Dev and Daadi for going to the Ts.

At this point comes the avataar of Detective Daadi- who begins to ask the right questions finally instead of suggesting they have a kid- even if they are not speaking to each other. Thatt makes Malini put clues together and zoned in on the day Adi was kidnapped then Imlie left for PD and Adi imploded (Arrey iski short term memory loss is worse than Dory's (Finding Nemo fans any one?😆). Now we know how that relationship lasted 7 years and everything was 'fine'. Malini- bhool gayi kaa- the bade bade fight over choti choti baat- vehicular preferences, that even then the 2 of you alone could not solve?

Anyway, Then Daadi further probed - was Adi consistent in his bad behavior towards everyone or only towards you? (Because if he consistently behaved badly to everyone including you- that made things okay 🤓and your marriage is fine). And then Malini forgetting how mean Adi was for the longest time to Imlie, zones in on the few days that he actually treated her well and she gives a little wobble and is shocked as NOW and only now- she suspects that Adi's affections have shifted to Imlie....(we are also now shocked- So Malini, when you did your Dr Jekyll- Mr Hyde transformation and unleashed your fury in the Tripathi household on Imlie's first day at college- AT Imlie -over her wearing Sindoor, and called her baharwali naukrani etc. - you had NO clue? It was just your inner Mrs C peeking out?👏).

So now- Malini is sure Adi's neglect of her has something to do with his being kind and caring to Imlie. Now as of this moment Malini only suspects that Imlie could be the reason for Adi's distance- its still in her head. But of course, why do the right thing and confront Aditya first? Malini didi 's policy is 'sharing is caring' and so she shares the suspicions about Imlie that she has apparently had only for the last 20 seconds- with Daadi and Dev. (I guess this is to now set the stage for Dev's suffocation- that he has to come out with his secret soon). So Dev is now feeling queasy himself- what he had thought was a simple marriage spat is now a case of sibling rivalry. But he tells Malini she is talking rubbish and this is because of all the poison Mrs C has been feeding her.

Malini dissents and exits in more tears-. And now Dev is repenting because he feels if he had done right by Meethi and Imlie- none of this would have happened and Mrs. C would not be filled with such 'kadvahat'- (that logic left me scratching my head- if Dev had done right by Meethi- I dont know how Anu could have been happy but anyway- he is on full on repent mode). I guess he feels Imlie and Malini would know they are sisters? or that Imlie would not have to earn her wages working for the Tripathis and hence get introduced to Adi and Malini as a complete stranger? In any case, Dev and Daadi seem to accept Malini's conclusion without further doubt.

Meanwhile at the Tripathi's they are all having nashta- am assuming thats breakfast- which has me really confused. They must wake up really early and what an eventful morning yaar- Dev and Daadi have already been there and back. Imlie went to college and came back (dont blame her - classes are not exactly 'gripping')...but...in any case- its nashta. Every one is gloomy at Nashta- except Rupi who is practically chirping in happiness and she shows them the morning paper- where there is a photo of Imlie on the front page. Now the Tripathis that we love come to the fore and all are delighted because there is a wonderful and touching article about Imlie and how she has brought glory to PD and the article is written by surprise surprise- Aditya Kumar Tripathi. Tripathiji reads it out aloud with great pride and then a call comes from the Minister's office that there will be an award ceremony for top 3 toppers. Aparna doesnt take as much as delight initially since she is still lost in Malini prem, but then kind soul as she is- she raliies forth for Imlie's sake. And Nishant despite his suspicions is really happy for his cool dude.

So they all go to congratulate Imlie and show her her picture. Rupi shows her the article and in the sweet moment that absolutely made me love her- whispers to Imlie conspiratorially "Adi bhai ne likha hai".❤️

But Imlie's face is still clouded and she begins her Didi jaap- did anyone talk to Malini didi- when is she coming back. And thankfully for us- that moment does not last long- Adi steps in to save her from slipping completely into Didi gloom (and us from having to tolerate any more of that). he takes a firm hand- reminds her of the girl he met in PD - her dreams and aspirations and how hard she worked for this and when you have shone and conquered every pareshaani in your life (including those gifted by me and an inconvenient 'saamp') why are you getting entangled in the pareshaani of this house? Go forth and claim your moment of glory- he says and finally there is a glimmer of that cheerful Imlie we were waiting for- and she smiles.

Aparna says- your mother should be here- go ask her to come and Imlie's face clouds over - that she can never invite her mom to this mad house (heaven forbid she bring PD sindoor as gift😆). And she says- my mom cannot come- but before anyone can ask - why not- Taiji says wont you miss her presence at such an importantt event and Imlie's like- when my whole family is there- why would I feel that and everyone is happy. And I hope Tripathis remember this moment of joy and warmth......

Because when the scene shifts to Malini's room- we know that joy cannot last long. Malini is also reading that article on Imlie that Adi has written and you know immediately she is reading it through her 'insecurity bhara hua POV'... she reads every word and now sees Adi's joy, pride and affection in Imlie's achievement. He has written- Imlie is like a bright light that can forever banish darkness. She says something laden with self-pity like- "Imlie is very special but to you Aditya- she is perfect and she is a bright light where as I am like the darkness that should forever be banished etc etc. I am tired of everyone's humdardi "(which I honestly found hard to believe)..."but all I want is your love Aditya"- which made me want to rant the Imlie wala speech on self love to her...but in that despondent mood, the episode ended and seemed to set the stage very nicely for the miserable precap...

I had high hopes of the precap being another Imlie fantasy but looks like Malini takes no prisoners... and along with the Tripathis' and Adlie's, our joy for the weekend is killed as well...oh well- 'how can we appreciate light without darkness' so I guess -watch on

@Sunnygrin I enjoyed reading your episode analysis.

Malini while connecting the dots seemed to forget about bridge kaand where for Aditya it was so important to save Imlie that he did not even see Malini lying in his path to reach Imlie. She also forgot that just recently he said he will be there for Imlie hamesha.

And though she concluded correctly about imlie being special to Aditya, she was wrong in saying that problems happened between them only after Imlie entered their life. There were big issues before imlie too or totally unrelated to imlie, but she chose to ignore them. Aditya almost missing his engagement and cancelling their honeymoon had nothing to do with Imlie and everything to do with Aditya never prioritizing Malini over his work. Also, like you mentioned one of their biggest fight post marriage had nothing to do with imlie but actually got resolved because of imlie....the car bike one. How conveniently she also forgot that imlie is the one who gave her dupatta on the wedding day.

Seeing how Tripatis treat Aditya, mujhe toh lagta hain at one point Mrs C and Satyakaam might forgive Aditya for his mistakes and hurting their respective daughters, but Tripatis will not forgive him for being human with feelings who is allowed to make mistakes. I am so waiting for T family to see Aditya from Imlie’s POV or when he is with Imlie. Sometimes I feel his family has no idea who the real Aditya is. Only imlie has seen him. I guess he has been comfortable in revealing his true self only in front of Imlie and no one else. Malini ke saamne toh bilkul nahin and they both invested 7 years in this relationship....how sad. The price both of them have to pay for living in denial.

The precap is disturbing and I wished they did not show it after every episode till the actual scene is aired. Who the hell thinks it is okay to show a character trying to commit suicide as a weekly precap? Who looks forward to seeing someone trying to kill themselves. Could they not show imlie’s award ceremony as precap? Isse better hota agar they showed no precap. Just a to be continued in the end.

And timing in the show makes no sense. So when Aditya forced imlie to go to college, he was leaving for work. Imlie comes back from college, and Aditya is still leaving for work? Does that mean he picked up imlie and brought her home. Toh yeh scene dikhaya kyun nahin. Don’t they know how much the audience is dying to see Aditya and imlie have a casual talk that is not related to Malini. How much we would love to see imlie updating Aditya in the privacy of his car or bike about her day in college.

@Anvi2009 Thank you! Appreciate the feedback. I know its long- I obviously havent done this before. But had so much fun writing it :) Yes- there is a lot Malini seems to have forgotten- for the ones you mentioned- am assuming once Adi has done due diligence and begged forgiveness- she is willing to forgive and forget. Also- how can she ever forget the 'joke' connected with Imlie that Adi tried to tell her before marriage and she fainted on hearing it? Who cracks a joke like that? And then that poem that Imlie read out of blank pages- such an affectionate and almost intimate one. Looks like her character is one that chooses to believe whatever adds credibility to her imaginary world.

For some reason- i think they want to keep Adilie convos toa minumum since Imlie obviously doesnt want to talk about anything else tillMalini Didi is back. And may be she has learnt how to come back by bus orsomething. I am assuming she left college after first period- honestly wouldntblame her ..lol. Aditya meanwhile had to go late to work because of Dev andDaadi showing up- but half way to work turned around and came back just to beable to convince Imlie. May be he thought it a waste of time to go there whenhis mind wasnt on it and anyway Editor ji is so understanding....
