As they usually do, they will keep the discussions vague until that one big moment of outburst from Adi where he will clear cut say everything😆....that's how it's been for all the high points.

I don't think there is any way around addressing the timeline of how/when Adi fell in love with Imlie....even if the path ran through the period of him having married Malini....lol those difficult questions will have to be addressed. So maybe the writers are taking their time writing that grand speech since it will be a tricky subject to navigate through in terms of wording it from Adi's perspective😆.

Waise on a slightly adjacent note, I kind of love that they are showing a character with that much honesty of emotions on ITV.....most characters find a way to cover up/adjust their emotions in majboori etc....but this guy literally isn't able to evoke token emotions inside himself for someone he married/knew for so long.....I keep remembering the way he said, "humse nahin ho paa raha hai".....that he is now that honest with himself that he cannot bring himself to even put on a token facade.....bahut kam log hote hain duniya mein aise cuz most people manage to put on some level of token response simply out of a need for companionship....isse utna bhi nahin ho raha ab. And again, I'm talking about the present....not the past where he was indeed not being honest to himself or his emotions so he did manage to continue token responses that he didn't really feel for a long time. But in the here and now....the honesty of his emotions is something refreshing to watch for ITV.

+1 to the characterization.

I may not be able to compare it to too much but the fact that I have continued on till now and am on a forum (joined one for the first time) is pretty much because Aditya is a very well written character. Both Aditya and Imlie. The others are not bad at all but these two just overtake everything and everyone else.

The suffocation he is experiencing is not just because he does not love Malini anymore. It also comes from knowing he is living a lie. His other dialogue on the burden of a lie on a honest person conveyed just how afflicted he was by the situation he was in. One of his doing. And his acceptance - I do not know to what level other ITV leads accept their shortcomings and faults but I found that very novel. Going from someone who thought being able to talk for 6-7 hours means I can get married to that person to “yeh sahi nahin hai/ humein ghutan hoti hai” is not an easy or in any way an enjoyable journey. To be able to concede that one was so wrong about a very important or most important decision of his life takes a strong constitution. However scarred he might be by the time he gets to the other end, he will atleast not have to lie anymore.

And GM is pretty much the best suited for this role. I do not know if anyone else could have conveyed the nuances like this guy can. It feels as though he lives Aditya when he is onscreen.

It is a story, a hypothetical work of fiction - it is not like a lesson on laws or morals. It is a peculiar story and the focus is on the emotional upheaval people trapped in this situation are going through. It is geared towards an audience that enjoys teledramas- everyone here knows the law etc but we also realize that it is a study in emotions and the type of emotional conflicts that people go through and it’s interesting to us. To me it’s like one of those Shakespearean dramas like Macbeth- where the main character has to go through this intense self analysis. It’s gripping, the story is good -whether you love it or hate it- it’s interesting - it’s been executed well at every level and the actors are beyond fantastic. So can we just leave it at that? Thanks 🙏🏼

I can feel Adi's frustration with Imlie here, just when he was about to come clean to Aparna, Imlie has to jump in... He told her and so did Aparna, but she was just focused on Adi not revealing the truth. Baat khatam, rishta khatam does not sit well with her when it comes to Malini.

Again another ACT by Malini to hoodwink everyone into thinking how ashamed she was of her behavior the previous day and needs time to think. Running to your maayka every time you err or feel burdened, is not done.. she is going to lick her wounds in private, sharpen her claws and be back. I think she has the art of manipulation down pat and will use any and everything at her disposal. Like she did not eat for a few days when Adi was in PD.. I dont know what to call this obsession, with this image of perfection, when your thinking is so ugly n twisted inside. She did try to act mahaan saying Imlie is not to blame.. she was the crux of the problem with Adi.

First time I have seen Dhruv trying to talk to Adi and then the token words from Nishu...

BK mentioning that they have noticed Adi was looking pareshaan of late..

Some disconnect in the scene with Adilie.. waiting for Adi to retort back to Imlie's threat of leaving and never returning. Uske alawa aur kya hai Imlie ke paas?

Largely skipped the C scene with dadi/dev n bechaari didi.

Mithi scene was .... trying to talk to SK who ignores her and then pari stops her, saying he will talk to SK.Every time NN is seen, she is just stuffing her face..😆

The fb was lulzy... sharing the same views and not fighting does not make a good marriage or a good partner for marriage. Have to weather the storms together, understanding and respect one another, adjust with the family too. dont see Malini have any of the above, it is only about her, none of the other things matter.

Precap was again a surprise - Rupi overhears Adilie talking about their PD ki shaadi and some other stuff about didi...chop ho gayi with all our predictions of Nishu being the next to know.

@ Bold

🤣🤣 Sab ki prediction chop ho gayi 😆

I was expecting sundar / Bandar

What was the purpose of Rupi being the first one to know 😤

Kucch samaj nahi aaya

She is crying buckets on her phooti kismat & songing sad songs🤣

How is she gonna take this story forward ?

Will she run to her parents and blurt out everything ? Or will she take Imlie into confidence ?
am still wondering 😆

How hilarious it is to reflect over when connecting the dots --- Malini was worshipping the Goddess 2-3 episodes ago that she'll try to take charge of relationship & whatnot --- today she said she gave up & thinks that she's the only one putting the effort in one line. 😆Shedding crocodile tears to infinity.

To me, it seemed clear that this "talking" only involved Malini mirroring whatever Adi wanted to hear. If he spoke about his ideals and his pride in his aam aadmi background, Didi promptly responded with how she also believes the same ki social status doesn't matter, she admires his principles etc.😆.....aise hi kar li hongi baatein😆. And Adi ko dekh ke lagta kahaan hai that he was even paying that much close attention to what she was talking about....lol bas wohi detachment zone mein jitni baat cheet kar li probably seemed to him like this is as good as it gets in life. 😆

Obviously it was all a facade....no genuine relationship would have so much formality and hesitation to deal with conflict in it. The very fact that Adi thought "kabhi ladaai nahin hogi" was a reason to choose Malini was a red flag enough😆.

Imlie ke saath toh shuru se hi alag level ka connect tha...she was pulling reactions out of him that no one had before....and he probably never even realized when she became the only one with the power to stop him in his tracks many times....that terrace scene being one of many such incidents. Too bad they all have amnesia about it now....lol Babusahib also never thought again about that poem that finally made him forgive Malini....Didi ne le liya muft ka credit mazey mein, Imlie ne chhod diya credit guilt mein....sab aise hi chalte rahe😆

Until they show the characters in the story actually talking through all this, we can only wait and watch....hum sab ko toh dikh gaya hai ki yeh ek khokhla rishta tha and they all just kept deluding themselves....now Adi simply needs to accept and explain that to others too.

@bold. Absolutely...

In PD after they escape from the violence and each are lost in reflection and analysis - BS in the suhaag raat kamra and Imlie in PD kitchen- BS looks into the mirror and thinks : “ I have never behaved this badly with anyone but I don’t know why everytime I see Imlie- I am not myself - I become someone else” and at that time he thinks that’s a bad thing but later appreciates it for the wonder that it is. Also that beautiful cycle scene when he first lands in PD and he has to sit behind her - she asks him to open himself up and live life fearlessly and when he opens his arms and enjoys the ride- it’s so symbolic of how she has broken these unconscious boundaries he has set for himself ( probably after his ghanton ka discussion with Malini ...ROFL) of maybe class or social status or what should or should not be done. And as inherently he is a person who seeks adventure - this comes like a breath of fresh air in his life. Where all the other women are always - be safe , don’t do this or that, call me , don’t get wet in the rain you ll get sick etc etc

That is the million dollar question - what will Rupi with the info?

One thing for sure, bahur drama aur abhi bahi hai

Aur ham pagla jayenge... 🤣

I am hoping for a Imlie-Rupi convo where she may try to find out more in her own way without directly asking about their shaadi first before taking any action or revealing it to the family.

That is true, crying buckets on her phooti kismet and all....

Rupi's situation is far better compared to Mithi who had to bear the taunt of being unmarried and all to raise her Imlie whereas the family supports Rupi and are there for her and her daughter.

So if Rupi is going to find out on one hand, Nishant won't be far behind either and he is likely to find out soon.....then how both of them approach this in their own ways remains to be seen....Adi will obviously be more comfortable talking to Nishant...he's never been shown as close to Rupi.....and Imlie has had a connection with Rupi so they may now use that in the story to move it forward.

I guess that fateful V-day convo between Rupi-Imlie will be revisited in a hard hitting way now😆....Rupi will join the dots about why Imlie was also sad that day as Babusahib was putting on full Oscar worthy nautanki of romance with Malini didi😆.

That's what I thought too.. 😆🤣 this way they get more perspective too and with 2 of them in their corner they get kaafi strength too eventually whenever things come out.. caz akele nishant pe depend nahi kar sakte woh toh kabhi bhi khud gir padega 😆 hope aisa hi ho

She said that to Dev n dadi who will buy it as they cannot ask their damaad or question him like AC does, kured kured ke sawaal kare. There is a limit and then it truly becomes public airing of your dirty laundry.

I think Malini ran back home so that she does not have to face any questions from the T's or Adi as her family will believe anything she says. She came across as completely indulged and pampered child, hearing her talk to Dev n dadi. How she just needs rest, she is tired.... I mean come on... tired from what? and rest from ? She does not do any work in the T house, she goes to college, teaches n is back.. what is there for her to complain about?

I also found it very telling when she hung around the T house entrance waiting to hear Adi call her back..... I mean I could not understand this. You do all this drama and will jump back and say all is forgiven with one call from Adi. Really truly amazing... didi...🤣 so that she is seen as mahaan and forgiving type.

Count me in x infinity..

This is so different and so refreshing to watch dilnko sukoon wala types. I have not seen itni honesty in ITV before and a guy who is so vocal about it once he realizes his real self. Which is why wih each day passing I cherish adi a bit more.and ofocurse adi imlie as characters.. I get more and more intrested in how they will solve this esp caz of this candidness and newness in the approach. This is what pulls me every night to lagao my bheja that much.

Yes past main he lived in denial but the moment he has realized his real self there has been no denial regarding anything and even in past he might have been in denial and thought that was his dach then he sticked to it so strongly then too so that quality existed then too ke sach ho ya jhoot apne baare main bhi he sticks to what he truly believes in.

A story this complicated cannot have any easy solutions....you cannot extract yourself from such a convoluted situation without going through many struggles and facing the suffocation from the choices you made. We are feeling that along with Adi-Imlie right now as they go through this.

Its is a heavy topic and kudos to the makers that they are handling it in a way that we as a audience can relate to everyone on screen. (Yes, Malini too even though its scares me that I can see what she is ) and feel their emotions, struggles and frustration too. Its exhausting but admiring too to realize that a lie can become so suffocating but still you are not able to tell the truth because of circumstances.
