Anokhi’s side: her first love was waiting for her on her first date and she listened to gossip and didn’t show up. After “ditching” him, didn’t pick up her phone to even give a reason. Sees her first love enjoying himself with his ex and jumps to conclusions. Then when she heard “i love you”, doesn’t acknowledge the words, but throws it back at him and tells him he’s lying......this should be seen as Anokhi being innocent and inexperienced.
Shaurya’s side: his first real love doesn’t show up to dinner with him and he has to sit and suffer thru a dinner with his ex(who chose her education above him and abandoned him)....then finds out from his love’s friend that his love is crying and has misunderstood him....shows up to talk it out with her and recreate their date.....after being continuously goaded about his feelings towards another, he angrily confesses, only to have his feelings be called a lie and thrown back at him....at which point, he destroys the physical date set up that she’s already called disingenuous.....after many more confessions, he walks away, without imposing his feelings on her.
How is Shaurya’s reaction more toxic than Anokhi’s? They’re both to blame....her trust issues are just as bad as his anger issues!!!
True both of them have issues from the past and their reactions mirrored that. But as soon as she came down, Shaurya didn’t try to pacify or ask her how she was doing despite knowing that she bawled her eyes out and that she saw both him and Shagun at the restaurant. Instead he asks her “ what’s you problem?”, “ you ditched me, everyone at the restaurant was laughing at me “which I found odd. Rest of it , post that sounded pretty convincing, although Anokhi needs a knock on her head for not trusting him at all.
