She is a remarkable woman, how in the world was she able to dominate such a huge industry for decades and not let any other female singer in? (Except her sister of course who got the leftovers) It still amazes me!

She was very mean hearted. Once during a concert she was tired, so she had a backup singer sing. The boy was unknown to her. In the green room she heard a loud applause and put her makeup on to come out and threaten the boy saying she should never see him again. The crowd wanted him to sing more but he wasn't given a chance. Later the show organizers gave a chance to come to a dine session with Lata as a complementary pass. Other than the family of the organizers and lata's entourage, no one turned up. She had annoyed them so much.

The young boy was Hariharan.
