In the meantime, yeah every issue will keep getting connected to Imlie somehow and Malini who is right now just barely covering up all her jealousy and resentment of Imlie with a big fake smile, will eventually burst out in a nasty fashion at Imlie too.

Again, it was not something Aditya initiated, it was only when Malini made him feel he is not romantic enough did he do something for her. Even the talk he initiated with Imlie after the restaurant scene before the last PD trip, he did it because he felt guilty after hearing Mrs C's words in the restaurant. Otherwise, he could never have handled Imlie going away from him, which we saw in the episodes that followed when Imlie left him to go to PD.

So the bottom line is with Malini, Aditya did things either out of guilt or because he felt he needed to do certain things as her boyfriend/husband....out of obligation. He never did things from his heart, he never initiated anything. He just followed what Malini wanted him to do. And we all know that the real Aditya is not a follower, he is his own person. That is a different thing he will follow Imlie to the moon and back 😆 but that's just because he cannot imagine his life without her any longer.

You know, I really want Aditya to go through all these realizations about his relationship with Malini. Out here in the forum, we have analyzed his 7 years with Malini way more than the writers have mentioned about it. The writers need to catch up with the forum. 😆

@bold: Exactly....lol that is his biggest tragedy....he was pretending without even realizing he was pretending😆....isliye ab lag rahe hain zor ke jhatke.

Aditya being a man of principles becomes his Achilles Heel in some ways....especially in the case of Malini....once he got into a relationship with her, I don't think he even realized when it became an obligation that just kept building up with time....and because of his principles, he probably found it hard to back out feeling she's his responsibility after a point so continuing on with it.....convenience, habit, all if it mixed up in this.....I also feel Mrs. C played a big part over the years too in keeping him feeling obligated to Malini cuz she constantly kept saying he isn't taking care of her.....lol so Adi ke andar ka principled insaan kept getting triggered ki how can someone say to me that I'm not taking care of the woman I'm with😆....so even if he didn't actually feel like doing anything genuinely, he did it to show that he is fulfilling responsibility/being a good/loyal boyfriend/husband😆.

And yes, as you pointed out, the time he carried Malini to the room was also cuz she said aapko romance nahin aata....lol so the breadcrumbs have been sprinkled throughout....Adi has always done everything for Malini only after being asked, guilt tripped or compelled😆. While with Imlie, there is his MARZI, his FREE WILL in everything.....he has done it all on his own, out of his own need....not to oblige Imlie or anyone....that is why it's real and so pure.

Agreed, all their conversations from 1st episode have been about food, who will call when, marriage, Adi's work trips, and where their next date will be.....all surface level. I doubt they had any deep conversation in the 7 years of their relationship. If they did, they would not have lasted even 1 year let alone 7 years. 😆There is just no meeting of mind with these 2. Malini realized this after marriage but in her usual manner, chose to ignore it. Aditya is yet to realize it and he never will now as he has moved on from Malini completely. But I wish Aditya realizes it, it will be easy for him to break up with her without the whole baggage of guilt that Malini will throw at him when the truth is out.

I REALLY hope Imlie doesn't interrupt them....after the dose she got last time, she really shouldn't be interrupting their talks cuz mujhe gussa aayega if Malini does bakwaas to meri Imliya😛.....yeah she has a chai ka tray in her hand but she's standing at a distance....I think wahin se sunke chali jaayegi....or maybe Malini will see her through the doorway and abruptly drop the argument.

Yes, you are right. It makes sense. He has not emotionally distanced himself all of a sudden, he just easily got over the skin-deep relationship he had with her when he realized his true feelings for Imlie. Had their relationship been any deeper, he would not be able to be so indifferent to her in such a short time.

He may not have done anything special for her on valentine's day had his family not forced him but still, their Valentine's day dance was pretty disturbing to watch. 😆

Aditya’s expressions have such variance in that tiny clip - smallest flicker of guilt, irritation, wanting to throw up, wanting to run away. And mostly cornered. Agar kuch kahega nahin toh didi’s rants will go out of the bedroom.

I too hope it is not Imlie walking in that patches the hole for a bit. But if Malini decides to go off on Imlie, Aditya chup rahega kya iss baar? Tough to say with that guy.

Writers have done such a good job when put things in perspective when you analyze the journey of all three characters from the beginning. But I am sure the general audience like me are not always good at catching all subtleties in the writing. That is why it is important for Aditya as a character to realize all that you'll are writing here, which is all true, so that the general audience can also understand why it was so easy for Aditya to fall out of the relationship with Malini and make Imlie his whole world in such a short time. 😊

That was the first time he directly weighed both Imlie and Malini's gifts in either hand.....Malini gave him that shiny silver coin too😆.....after ruining the entire award moment with another one of her tantrums.

I had completely forgotten how much she ruined that award for him before getting to the cake drama!
