You know there was this discussion with some best actors with Anupama Chopra and Manoj Bajpai and Parvathy both had different views in regards to an actor's/producers responsibilities in playing a character. I agreed to both. Manoj said I am just and actor and I just play a character. And Parvathy said how its influencing young minds so they should be responsible as actors.. The problem however was not Kabir Singh, but glorification of Kabir Singh by the movie first and then the fans..

However coming back to the question, so that I am not blamed for digressing it, I believe if you can understand what's wrong and what's right, what's justified and what not and understand its a fiction (that too on ITV), you gotta ignore few things and if the chemistry is working for you and the story telling is engaging, Go on ship them. Nothing wrong. When you chose a show on ITV, you have already turned a blind eye to a lot many things..

Well,I do ship them , you know, to be honest, we feel like any other human being here, for Sai ,for Virat, for didi, let me say that natural way yiur hypothalamus behaves. So,it's human nature. They are characters at the end of the day, surrounded by a fiction and a story. So,I do ship the leads of the story.

But,yes, not taking heavy inspiration for real life ,and ,and niether we should link the characters to the person playing them,wrong on both way🤗

Honestly, I don't think so. I have heard of worse ML's but when a character goes through a tail spin, he/she needs a good redemption track for the things to set straight.

But again as this is ITV, I won't keep the expectations higher. Just like FL's mahaanta is showed down our throats, ML's monstrous behavior as well.

The change I have noted in the recent years, unlike the past - some of the female characters are better sketched than the past, so they are not totally doormats even though they have still not lost the trait of mahaan devis - fixing everyone's issues, while jeopardizing their own relation with their partner, other than few exceptions.

Yes, there are lot of people who get influenced by such things but we should know what is right and what is wrong. Even in movies, lot of times an actor who plays hero have played a negative role. In that case, people did understand that they are wrong. It's not like since he was a hero in other movies, they'll support him here. Aap phirse kabir singh mat boliye ga, phir se I will get triggered.

@bold- as long as we don't justify what they do, understand that it is wrong, I am fine with it :)

I'm not sure man. I haven't watched tonight's episode. So I might not be able to give a sound judgment.

Coming to ITV, I've seen people shipping couples where I would simply puke.

A male lead who manhandles female lead, pushes and pulls her, breaks the dori/pearls of her dress, is shipped with the female lead.

A male lead who gets the female lead locked up behind bars in a case of theft (with romantic background music), calls her trash, threatens her into marrying him is shipped with the female lead.

A male lead, who half marries the female lead to leave her then hurt her again by making her fall for him to leave her again is shipped with the female lead.

A male lead who challenges the female lead's father that he will marry his daughter (without taking her consent or even thinking about her agreement) is shipped with female lead.

A male lead who stalks the female lead and stalks her until she gives in and ends up marrying her is shipped with the female lead.

A male lead who cheated the female lead with her best friend right under her nose is shipped with the female lead.

A male lead(read villain) who tortures the female lead in his obsession as much as he can and kills her entire family and ends up killing her too is shipped with female lead.

A villain who first raped the female lead's sister and then wants to do the same with the female lead is shipped with the female lead.

There may be many of such kind which I might have forgotten right now.

So I won't pass any judgment on whether Virat should be shipped with Sai. Differs from individual to individual and their points of view. I'm just happy that this forum at least has debates on whether they should be shipped or not.👏

No, I was thinking about it today as why should we stop doing it. They are just like any other couple, who want each other, who have feelings for each other, but are making mistakes. They will evolve and so will their relationship.

Also, it is all part of the plot, a script is in place already. I sometimes I wonder if I should turn a blind eye to a few mistakes made by the leads, since they are deliberately butchered by the writers to achieve something.

We know Sairat is the end game. So as long as one is able to manage to watch the show, they can watch, otherwise they can watch the clippings of the Sairat alone because many love their chemistry and discard all the illogical plots 😆.

I tend to watch shows until it doesn't become too unbearable to watch (turn too negative especially the villainous acts 🙈) . Sometimes I drag if they are stretched way too much, gets too boring. As is I watch very few shows.

I am planning to write something on this topic, not too serious, will tag you if I write it.

Agreed to your point dear, we feel fir the characters just like human beings,so we criticise them for mistakes and appreciate them for good.

I just hope they redeem Virat as an all new person after this, cuz he is a diamond currently who clear cut looks like coal, so ,just search him properly.

Sairat r only possible on tv , so yes in itv u can ship them.

Varna in real life sairat kabhi shuru hi nhi hua hota coz no man with a sane mind will ever a tolerate a girl not stop insulting him from day one , marriage to bahut dur ki baat hain.

Armed forces, police force or any organisation will not tolerate family interference , kamal.sir would be in big problem .

@ fruitcustard_9 hi fruity honestly I thought a lot before writing this but I didn't stop myself from doing so if you find it rude, my apologies for it beforehand ...I know we don't know each other so I have no right to say anything on your behaviour or psychology but as a responsible human being I feel someone has to show you that some where you are going wrong....I was visiting this forum since liked the show in initial phase and caught few topics of discussion where saw you defending a lot one character which clearly shows your attachment and crazy obsession towards him i.e Virat Chawan and in reverse psychology you tried bashing another character Sai joshi mercilessly even when not needed...you need to calm down your likeness towards character as you need to understand he is just a fictional person who don't need your so much love you will get nothing except hatred in your heart for another character or for instance those people who will try to correct you....trust me you remind me my younger cousin who was so so obsessed over being fan girl that she can snap anyone who said anything against him but by the grace of God and our cousins collective effort made her normal fan....I apologise once again if you feel it rude or intrusion in you private life but please try to understand with calm and neutral mind at least once
