I really want to know what you this of the show now, if this was a month ago. They have regressed so much. All that's remaining is sexual abuse. And we hit the bingo.

I agree this show supports abusive & regressive behaviour at so many levels. But, and its an important but, this is the only ITV show I know of with a FL who stands up for herself and fights. Who completely redefines ā€œsanskariā€ with real sanskar, not schooled ones. Who actually has an education & career.

If we do not support this show as long as Sai remains Sai, the trp aunties who must be hating Sai’s guts will win, and Itv will figure that such spunky heroines don’t work. Let us not let that happen.

Sai is like Goddess Durga - compassionate yet righteous.

Let’s watch the show for Sai Joshi, doctor to be, wife/bahu on her own terms, dewdrop! Only for Sai.

This is so beautifully well put together. Something I completely agree with. These shows show abuse as normal and also impact people to a great extent. And Virat is definitely abusive towards his wife in so many ways. Even in today's episode the way he said tmhare sar pe ab chat nai hai shows sadistic pleasure. This is so so awful.

By the way I didn't know it's a remake. Can u tell me the name of the original show.

I left the show, but people have messaged me about the recent sequence and honestly I saw it coming. You are right, it's absolutely ridiculous that people say that a work of fiction does not affect people. I've studied media and psychology and I can absolutely say that so-called entertainment shows do affect people.

In real life when I told my some of the class mates they told me I am cold and unemotional. My bro watched a few snippets when Amma and badi ma were watching. I was also in the hall. Later when we went for pre sleep. Walk he told me all that was trash and real.life relationships do my work that way and that was abuse.

After that I have tried in my own way to explain to classmates and few people in real-life and SM.

Believe me when I tell u this I know beta misogynistic behaviour can do to u ..I have walked out of one very abusive relationship and faced a lot of public devastation due to it.

But sai here is alone but I had my bff, my bro and Bhabhi

So happy that you are surrounded by people who recognises patterns of toxicity. Much courage and power to you, you are one very strong person I believeā¤ļø

You see every time Virat behaves this way with his wife, people are going to search this thread and comment on it.. Your thread is going to survive till this show survives going by ITV standard..🤣

Sai has been portrayed as a lioness. That's it. Period. I accept, acknowledge and agree with that 100%. I myself stuck with the show till the hand grab sequence for her, and her only.

But I beg to differ with the latter part of your reply. Trp aunties only care about how much of an eye candy the ML is, the chemistry and the drama quotient. The FL they want is one who'll always go back to the ML no matter what crap she gets in return from him or his family. They find some sort of sadistic pleasure in seeing the FL getting tortured and this is what this show depicts every other day and that's what brings in the TRPs. Its a tried and tested formula.

Sai is gutsy, righteous and very brave, but does it not defeat the purpose of her characterisation when she'll come back to Virat, just because he'll be hurt. Does her love for Virat then not make her weak, when love is all about strengthening each other. Does coming back heal the verbal, emotional and all kind of abuse she faced. Is Virat's toxic love worth it, after all.

Like I said in my post, had it been about Sai finding a way out of that marriage, I would have been cheering for the show. However, its not, its about a fierce woman aspiring to be a Dr., but also a woman who'll accept the toxicity of her in-laws and husband just because she is in love. She'll be his rehabilitation centre if ever Virat decide to redeem himself. And for me, this is where the writers fail Sai big times. For me the show ended with Virat fighting the family for her admission.

🤣 You can start that thread with few more bashings.. I am not sure if I would be here by that time.. I am just at the brink of leaving. Like you mentioned I come from the same show where I believed thats romance and I was also a teenager then... But now I strictly deny FL should manhandled in the name of love..
