@bold - are we sure? I think he’s not telling the truth because of Imlie. See, the truth is not his alone. It is his and Imlie’s and she does not want to be the cause of Malini’s hurt. Their car conversation was pretty clear about where the problem was. He is aware Malini will be hurt but he is ok with it since he knows that is the only way he gets to live his truth. But Imlie clearly does not understand it fully and he is not going to override her wish in all this. Atleast not just yet. If she continues pushing him towards Malini, he might end up snapping.

His interactions with his editor and Prakash were an indicator of how Aditya will feel about the truth coming out. Not telling it out loud is a burden that he has been ready to be done with since the moment he accepted his real feelings.

Sorry for ghusoing! I found it really interesting that both Pamk06 and you brought up this point. Completey agree to both your points. I think initially it was Malini's health stopping him and now it is Imlie's vachan. I also think, that he is waiting for Imlie to accept the relationship like he has done. Not because of her vishwas alone. He wants her to need this relationship with her full heart. Till date he has taken all the actions for both of them...oh well until ofcourse Imlie left for PD. Telling the truth is not going to be only his responsibility...even though he probably is more accountable. Imlie has stopped him from revealing the truth plenty of times..

But they are so stuck in the vicious circle or right, wrong, hurt, love, deserving, undeserving...It will take a while for them to understand that something must end for something to begin....(Abhi toh didi, is really a didi has to be revealed..fir toh pata nahi kaunse guilt excursion pe nikalegi Imlie.sigh.)

But what a true thought you both have brought out- he is at the point where he is not afraid..But is Imlie ready?

I 🤔 imlie as not ready yet for this reveal. She stuck between her own faith and responsibility. She has never really had a choice so far to decide what she wants. Her path has not been one she has wanted but decided by others.

I don’t believe she is afraid I just feels she is scared to let people around her down. She is afraid too disappoint more then anything else. It will click to her one day as satyakaam has said to her she has to claim all of what destiny has laid out for her. At this juncture she has always seen sacrifices form her mother’s to her dadda so it’s going to be ingrained in her to do so.

I feel once she realises what her emotion sickness is all about and what love bring will she be liberates to claim his love and him. Till then she will lay all of herself at bay for others but we know Aditya will show her the way to him for he is not selfless like her. Since he has discovered what love can be he is not willing to let it go. Imlie is to learn that we cannot keep everyone’s happened in mind for we are going to disappoint.

This is where Maline has always been opposite to her because for her it’s all about Aditya alone and his family is secondary. Her aim is to lay claim of him alone and control what she has in the relationship. Whereas imlie puts others before her.

Imlie will not take her HAQ so easily from Malini as she was the one to give her that in the first place. if you see the shaadi ka episode and I was binge watching this weekend, the haldi, mehendi n shaadi ka scenes.. they are all connected to what Adi did and the sindoor scene.

During his haldi, it was Sunny who grabbed Imlie and ran towards Adi, and haldi was splashed over both of them, just like in the holi scene when sindoor fell on Imlie. Aparna gives the shaadi ka sindoor to Imlie and tells her to give it at the shaadi time and Imlie tells Adi that chutki bar ka sindoor is a big burden, baari hai. I saw them all back to back n forgot the point now. 😆😆During his shaadi, Imlie gets the courage and tells Adi that she will fight for her haq and will not return to PD. Adi tells her he accepts whatever decision she takes and is ready for the truth to be revealed, when Aparna gushes about didi n her role as a bahu, beti etc.. and the duties of a bahu, Imlie listens to all this silently. When her dupatta tears, she puts hers on didi n tells her she has the HAQ now, she will be the dharmpatni for Adi. She has essentially given up her haq on Adi and will not take it unless didi herself gives it back to Imlie, telling her that Adi is hers, she has all the haq when it never was hers. Adi accepts this decision by Imlie and marries didi. Now he is in love with Imlie and never was with Malini, but again he cannot force Imlie to accept or declare. it has to come from her, her choice, her decision. he may try to break her resistance, to move her along towards him.. 🤣

The qualities that Aparna outlines for a bahu, is all there in Imlie that Adi has realized now. Just that the other T's have to see it too. The coming drama by didi may open some eyes and they may start connecting the dots. Dekhte hain... just hope and pray that all are safe in this time due to the spread of Covid-19.
