I guess it's same, or maybe has to be same. Mental illness is like any other illness, it requires proper treatment and care. But people, generally in India, don't consider it as one. They associate mental illness with being crazy, and the whole thing gets stigmatized, people need to be more empathetic.

And that will come when they have a proper idea about mental health. For instance, when i talked about depression, with people who cared about me, they didn't take it seriously. For them it sort of meant that i was sad and it was a phase. This has originated from the casual usage of the words when people are sad, like "oh i have less marks in the subject, i am so depressed." In the lines of, "oh i am so shocked, i may have a heart attack" But the illness of other organs aren't stigmatized as that of mental health.

Sometimes, certain severity of a mental illness doesn't let the person suffering, decide rationally, in such cases, they are under the care of their guardian. In this case, Devi Tai is in love with Pulkit, but she can't take rational decisions regarding this. Thankfully, Pulkit isn't a bad person, but what if he was? Someone behalf of Tai has to take the decision. She is more like a kid, she knows people have done bad to her, but she can't take decisions.

Here, Sai did it. She is the guardian Tai needed, the guardian angel. But the problem is, she isn't actually her guardian, it's still her mother. I have no idea how she is going to defend that.

I guess it's life dear, if there is positive there has to be negative, lord has created everything equally, lights and darkness as well. But,it depends on how we travel through this ,only that makes you different as a human being.

I understand that, but sexual harassment is more than just a negative aspect of life. People infact don't have rights to violate the limits set by someone, not physically, mentally or emotionally.

It just makes me sick to think that some people actually wake up and roam around, as predators waiting for their prey.

The court or Indian Judiciary doesnt recognize mentally unstable person, infact they have guardian, technically and biologically Kaku is her guardian and virat has every right to arrest Pulkit,

if u see serial aspect, virat said without family permission so sai is legally adult and is her family this wont stand, yet if charges are imposed sai too will have to face the warmth,

Thank you! And I’m fine now.. unfortunately I remembered very late though by the grace of god they never touched me inappropriately but yes did show me a lot things that a child shouldn’t be showed... it didn’t stop there as I grew older and especially in Delhi had more of these unfortunate incidents including school premises...

As you said the issues stem from the taboo of sex education and the the inability for us to provide children with that education or explain to them what is right and wrong.... it’s not limited to women only even men suffer through this kind of harassment...

This stems from the views is a patriarchal society where we differentiate based in gender.. when a man is with mang girls he is called a player but when a girl is with many men she is called a sl*t... we say grow some balls to show strength and call someone a p**sy to show they are weak whereas the balls are actually the most sensitive in a mans body and the vag**a the strongest in a woman’s.....

the societal norms are the ones that need to be changed and the shackles broken... that is why it hard for some people to accept a character like Sai who doesn’t fall into the category of a woman who is meek..

Yeah I know the impact it leaves infact i get it well, That moment scare you to core. Though not in childhood but three years ago I did felt miserable for the unwanted advances of my friend. Thank god I know how managed to escape thanks to that Noida market and especially when i was quite far from my home. It used haunt me though I did forget, but something that always stay with u,
