True dear, people forget they are humans, I know not all and sorry if I hurt anyone, but the most heart wrenching scenario is when people you consider your own do not support you. And society should be ditched in these matters as this is the biggest stigma.

no this is a very serious issue that needs to be addressed. we have moved to canada recently, where my husband visited sleep clinic once. he said after coming home that he has seen an 8 yr old there who is suffering from depression. i was appalled.

yes, he does. we take these things lightly in india . if a child is moody for long, doesn’t get happy for anything etc. but here schooling is very particular. teachers observe all these about students. this is my son’s first year of schooling here, he is in senior kinder now. i get a detailed report starting from linguistic skills to math to behaviour to their favourite activities to sometimes things which they speak every quarter. the amount of work they put to make progress reports is commendable. just imagine the amount of observation they do while in school.

It’s very true actually... childhood trauma shapes who we are...

a lot of my ptsd stems from my childhood trauma of being sexually harassed by one of the maids who worked for us... my mind made me forget it but my subconscious carried it on... it put me in a shell over the years and the trigger to it all was leaving home for college and going abroad away from my parents to a foreign land and being homesick.. it brought back all those memories of the past that my mind had made me forget....

That is why it is so important for younger kids especially 5 years and below to have a health and normal life and happy life... it’s scientifically proven

regarding the situation who legally has right over Devyani Pulkit or Chavans . Pulkit is her husband whom she married happily when she was totally fine, also an adult. Later, because of the circumstances created by Chavans they got separated. Though it’s almost 10years but they never got divorced. Pulkit in his legal documents like official paper put Devyani name in wife column. So who has right to take decision on her behalf. Can Virat arrest someone without an arrest warrant or proper FIR?

omg!!!i am so sorry. i hope you are fine now and person responsible for the assault is punished . they have no place in society.

you are actually bringing up lot of issues today for us to discuss. your experience reminds of the importance of sexual education from childhood. how important it is for us to teach our children of good touch and bad touch so that they can come to us when exploited.

true, it doesn’t really have to be big things you know. simple statements like you are not fair or beautiful uttered since childhood has a lot of impact on us. i am speaking from my own experience. i never had the confidence in myself because of these all. it took a lot of efforts from my side to overcome those. that is why i never allow anyone to utter anything about physical beauty to my children. i always tell them you are beautiful. i want them to grow up being comfortable in their own skin which i never was.
