I think it's because the of the financial dependency which is why we see her trying to find a job. She is trying to make the necessary steps to distance herself from him as much as possible. The birth control, trying to find a job. I think she has gotten some strength from Anokhi but I can understand why it's difficult to make that leap for her given how shattered her confidence is after being with this emotionally and physically manipulative man. I do hope they show a proper DV track where they show how difficult it is for a survivor to leave her abuser.
