They don't even realize just how deeply they are going to cling to each other. I can totally see how Shagun's curse, as filmy as it might have been, is going to come true. He really won't be able to breathe without her because everything in his life is so suffocating. Even today he immediately felt the need to rationalize Badi Ma's obsessive questioning despite everyone realizing it was not the time or place. The same is true for Anokhi. She has always had to fight and perhaps he is the one person around whom she can let her guard down a little and not just have to be in defensive mode at every moment. It's why she reflected on how much he helped her when she couldn't even figure out how to help herself. I JUST NEED THEM TO HEAL EACH OTHER!!
