She did manage to mostly freeze Adi with the weight of her guilt trip, didn't she? And that too, to the point where he didn't even speak up to defend Imlie when she mistreated Imlie.

So to me, it still doesn't seem like all this is only destroying her or her relationships with Adi/Ts....she is leaving a lot of other damage in her wake, including the one inflicted on Imlie who literally is the most innocent one in this whole drama. And if all this is really so "ineffective", how come Imlie is still the one left the most hurt?

Malini's insecurities are endless and they have been building up for a long time.....but until Adi gathers the guts to start calling her out on her bullshit like he calls out AC, all of this is moot. I don't even have any high expectations of him taking some grand stand or suddenly managing to tell the truth and clear up this whole issue once and for all.....I know the story will get dragged but what I can't abide by is this Dev version of Adi acting all laachaar, not standing up for Imlie in the interim.

If as you are saying, these antics of Malini's keep increasing in the coming days and all we still get are guilt trips from Adi and the Ts about how "bechaari" she is, then again, is it really ineffective?

I get your point that in the larger scheme of things, this will distance her from them....but LOL to that I say, when exactly was she ever REALLY close to any of them?😆.....she's shared a FORMAL relationship with them for a long time anyways....everything covered up in saccharine compliments and surface level niceness.....and I don't know if whatever Malini is doing right now also will make them drop all that cuz in their eyes, she is a perpetual victim facing the brunt of Adi's anger and irritability....so that facade will continue to be maintained until someone gets a reality check about what she's doing wrong. Even if she puts down Imlie more frequently in the coming days, what's the guarantee anyone will stick up for Imlie over her? The Ts toh don't even stick up much for Imlie when AC puts her down.....lol Malini toh unki pyari bahu hai....usko thodi na bolenge......and Adi's erratic mood swings toh waise bhi no one seems to take seriously in that house. 😆

It is ineffective in the sense that she does not get her desired outcome. The purpose of her guilt-tripping Adi is to get him to grovel at her feet and come back to her, which he won't. I will reserve my comment on him not defending Imlie until the next episode.😆

Oh I agree that she's destroying everything, inflicting damage on Imlie and on herself too. But I categorise this under destruction because Malini I think does not actually intend to inflict damage on anyone. She genuinely thinks that her emotional manipulations will set everything right and make everyone happy.🤔 Like I said, she only desires that Aditya come back to her. And her every effort in this regard is rendered ineffective.😆

True that Malini was never close to them.😆 I'm not sure if Ts' will stick up for Imlie, but I still think Malini will be diminished in their eyes if she starts putting Imlie down in front of them because she so convincingly acted the part of caring DIDI before. Unless they turn out to be extremely obtuse, they should ask themselves why caring DIDI his suddenly putting down little sis. AC toh has always been diminished in their eyes, so they never had any expectation from her unlike Malini.

And uske baad woh sab balloons wala convo.....lol should they really be talking about the future of their relationship when Adi can't even find the guts to protect her from Malini?

@bold - especially this. I just put it in another post. Aditya did what he did initially when he first brought Imlie to his house or when he got married to Malini. But right now is different, a whole lot of different. He cannot give her any rights, fine. He is waiting for her to accept her feelings for him, fine. But he toh already knows his feelings right? The bare minimum she deserves is not to be yelled at by all and sundry. Especially not Malini. Especially not for his faults. Imlie, this time around, returned for him. He knows that. And despite that he lets his guilt over Malini overtake his feelings for Imlie? What absolute bull. And all this has absolutely nothing to do with any vachan. Keeping his vachan to Malini in no way means he lets everyone and specifically her walk over Imlie at the first given opportunity.

That entire schooling Malini put Imlie through was so needless. And what for? Because she was mad at Aditya she decided to take it out on Imlie? The woman has no idea how to deal with confrontation. She has an issue with her husband, deal with the husband. Why bring in the girl she thinks is the ghar ki naukrani. If the makers were planning to get Malini to gain brownie points, that scene just did not achieve it.

Re balloons convo: Exactly. How do they go from what transpired to a convo about each other in that setting? Khud toh twisted hai hi, yeh sab karke Imlie ke dimaag ka chutney bana raha hai.

3 times. Imlie apologized 3 times. With his behavior in yesterday’s showdown, Aditya kind of demonstrated that his words to Imlie stay just that. Just big words. If he cannot bring himself to follow them up with action, a rejection by Imlie is simply justified even if it comes at the behest of Malini didi ke liye sacrifice. Pakaa diya poora ka poora

The only reason that they didn't show Adi standing up for Imlie in the last scene is to give the main trio a reality check if you will.

Imlie- If she remains Ok with the current status quo then Malini is definitely going to get hurt & her & Adi cannot defend themselves due to their guilt. They themselves will also remain unhappy.

Adi- If he remains Ok with the current status quo then he will continue to hurt both Imlie & Malini. Also Malini will not let him out of their relationship so easily.

Malini- If she remains Ok with the current status quo then she will not only become more distant from Adi but Adi is showing signs of getting closer to Imlie.

This is to give them impetus to move onto the next stage.

This is the only logical reason that has chances of being somewhat correct. Rest all reasonings that we have done are just speculations.
