So, I think I will have to play devil’s advocate today for Aditya😲😈😆.

Adi took a stand for Imlie’s mistreatment as a servant at C house throughout the episode.

First at his own house, when he was instructing Imlie not to do any work at C house, not to try & give extra respect to AC, etc. Basically, he was telling her not to be her usual nice, selfless person towards AC because she doesn’t deserve it.

At C house as well when Imlie was not at the dining table & AC was trying to distract others with lets eat everyone, he understood that she had somehow done something to relegate Imlie to the servant status. So, he silently walked off from the dining table & went to eat with Imlie. He continued eating with Imlie despite Imlie as well as Malini’s protests. He even countered Malini that how she can’t be worried about how her mother continues to mistreat Imlie😡.

Then he wanted to tell off DC for keeping quiet while Imlie was mistreated but saw a man who was acting helpless about his situation. He understood that there is no use in saying anything to DC & creating more problems for Imlie. More on the lines of he doesn’t expect DC to take any stand for Imlie so why unnecessarily raise the issue & let Imlie be targeted by AC😆.

When Malini called him to talk, he was still standing up for Imlie initially. But then Malini threw a googly at him that she doesn’t want to talk about Imlie or her mom but about them as a couple. She then started all her emotional baiting that she misses them, he doesn’t even call her Moon now, avoids talking to her all the time. She asked him whether she had done something wrong for him to treat her like that. This is the point at which he guilt-tripped because in his mind Malini has not done anything at all due to which he has started behaving differently with her.

Malini is behaving as she always has. He is the one who had misunderstood himself & now that he understands what he wants, he has started behaving differently with her. He has completely stopped giving Malini any importance in his own life, she is irrelevant for him now. He only sees her as a collateral victim of the mistake he made by marrying her. So he felt bad & takes it as only his fault because for him it is not about her & everything is about him & Imlie.

So he still believes in the image that she has always projected as being a sensible, mature, responsible, loving woman. Her faults or anything doesn’t matter to him as long as they are not a problem for him & Imlie. Also he could not directly tell her the truth because of his vachan to Imlie, so he kept quite after telling her it is not her fault.

When Imlie suddenly entered the room, he broke off the hug from Malini immediately😆. When Malini scolded Imlie for doing work at C house, he again defended Imlie saying that she does the work because her mother asks her & she likes doing stuff for people whom she considers as her own. To which Malini quickly tries to appease him by telling Imlie not to do any more work even if asked.

Then Malini tells off Imlie for not knocking on the door of a couple’s room. This in general is nothing wrong. We know Malini was talking down to Imlie because of her own insecurity & Adi’s protectiveness for her but Adi didn’t. Imlie had an inkling of it because earlier also Malini had taunted her that since Imlie saved his life, Adi is only listening to her. So she understands the point Malini is making & apologises & then tells that she will not be coming in between anyone even unintentionally.

During this convo, Adi had turned his face because I believe he was getting angry at both Malini for scolding Imlie & at Imlie for trying to be selfless & indirectly reminding him of his vachan that she would not be the cause of Malini’s hurt. We were not shown what he was thinking as usual by the CVs because they like to bait us with his potential flips now. We have to wait & see how he behaves in tomorrow’s episode to get the clear picture. But I don’t think his guilt trip for Malini is going to last more than 2 mins because as per the BTS released he will be leaving from C house with Imlie alone after some discussion with AC & Malini.

Adi will continue to think of Malini as a victim until she starts actively hurting Imlie & creating problems for him & Imlie. Once he understands that, then all his guilt towards Malini will get evaporated & he will not tolerate any emotional crap from her😆.

I think his guilt re. Malini stems more from his own disappointment in himself for not being able to understand himself and thus not being able to do right by her as another person. Here I think his guilt takes on a personal dimension, it doesn't really have much to do with Malini IMO. As you said, he thinks she is a collateral victim. It's more that he can't come to terms with the fact that as a righteous man, he's been living a lie for so long and now because of that another person will suffer. If you substitute another person in place of Malini, he would feel the same way. This is hard for him to grapple with because his whole life mission is to fight for the truth and justice and in his personal life, he feels he has done the opposite. I know the 'dard' dialogue makes it seem like his guilt for Malini stems out of concern for her...but dialogue writers aren't always consistent so I'll let that slide. Besides, if he was concerned for her even on a general level, he wouldn't have treated Malini the way he did after coming back to Delhi.

On the last scene, I do believe he would have rebuked Malini if Imlie hadn't reminded him of the vachan. Which he might do anyway tomorrow, let's see.😆

And yup, Malini Didi will herself diminish Adi & Imlie's guilt with her histrionics. Actually, now that I think about it, I think this is perhaps what the writers intend. Maybe that's what all the symbolisms we were shown in the last phase of the PD track was about? Like Malini setting her own wedding photo on fire and Adi's hand getting burned when Imlie said Malini's name. All that definitely ties into the notion that she will continue down this self-destructive path and further alienate her sasuraal wale and Adi from her until everyone will be so fed up that no one will feel an ounce of guilt or sympathy for her. Ts' distancing themselves from her and Cs' kinda reaffirms this too.

I think this is how it will play out going forward, but I'm not sure how I feel about it? Maybe the makers think this is the best way to phase Malini out from Adi's life and enable Adi-Imlie to move forward in their married life without any guilt. Also if Malini remained bedaag 😛, it would have been tough to justify Tripathis supporting Imlie over Malini IMO. Adi's guilt will evaporate when she treats Imlie like trash, but what would be most interesting is how Imlie will let go of her guilt. Especially when it is revealed that Didi is her actual half-sister.😆 Ooo boy I'm not looking forward to those episodes.

The reason woh last scene khatak gaya is mainly because it was Aditya in the beginning who told Malini - Humen yeh samajh mein nahin aa raha hai ki aapko kaise koi pareshaani nahin ho rahi hai. He saw her then. He was perplexed then that she was ok with Imlie sitting with the other servants in the house. Especially after he had pointed out specifically that Imlie was coming there as a guest.

But her smallest amount of crying at “you’ve stopped calling me Mun” was enough to stump him into silence throughout that disparagement in the name of conversation that Malini subjected Imlie to? He may very well come around tomorrow for Imlie but this oscillation is going to be unnecessarily detrimental.

Maybe they should have put this scene in one of their usual precaps which they chop before the epi airs so it doesn't become canon😆.....but this time they forgot to and it's going to be hard for us to forget that the Adi who was otherwise making tall claims about not letting anything wrong happen with Imlie.....was totally stumped when Malini didi right under his nose disparaged Imlie so much. Yeh bas khadaa dekhta reh gaya......sorry but I didn't feel any sympathy for this laachaar turned away face. If they aren't careful, he might as well be rendered another Dev who just makes tall claims to himself, does token pushbacks but stays silent through so many times when Imlie is humiliated by his wife.

I still can't figure out how he will come around in the next epi....lol is there going to be a continuation to this scene with Malini? Is he suddenly going to stick up for Imlie AFTER she's left? Then suddenly Adi will discover his spine to ask Malini why she spoke like that to Imlie? I doubt it.....looks like they will directly jump to that scene where Adi is arguing with the Cs and then taking Imlie home. And uske baad woh sab balloons wala convo.....lol should they really be talking about the future of their relationship when Adi can't even find the guts to protect her from Malini?

@bold: Isn't that a big presumption?😆.....Adi wasn't shown to remember Imlie's vachan at all there, so why would that vachan make him think of Malini as a "shaant, samajhdaar" saint? No, that's all coming from his own guilt only.

And I don't think the issue is that he didn't tell Malini the whole truth in that scene.....for me personally, the issue is how he let Imlie be belittled to that extent by Malini. The WAY Malini conveyed her "point" about knocking on a couple's room before entering....even after Imlie said sorry multiple times....but Malini barely acknowledged any of those sorrys and kept talking down to Imlie.....and Adi LET Imlie be treated like an outsider there by the woman he claims is a "shaant/samajhdaar" saint.....THIS is how "samajhdaar" people explain an issue to someone? That too to someone who's apologizing sincerely for an honest mistake? How does it matter if Adi doesn't get WHY Malini is talking to Imlie like this....how could he still let it slide? Come on, man.

Maybe the writers wanted to play up Imlie's humiliation in that scene to make us feel worse for her....if so, they definitely succeeded big time because it is only Imlie's pain that came through to me.....Adi and Malini both mistreated her in different ways for no fault of hers.

@bold: But in who's eyes?😆.....She's already been diminished in our eyes a long time back.....do you really see any of her antics diminishing her in Adi or Imlie's eyes? lol Adi doesn't do much other than pointing out a few times that Malini is twisting his words or whatever but then she's always got the bigger thing to hold over his head that he hasn't given her answers to her questions.....so it just goes around in a circle.....aise kya diminish hoga?

Malini's emotional manipulations and martyr act are only obvious to us.....not to anyone else. I don't know what it will take for her to do or say to Imlie for Adi to get any reality check.

So to me, the more likely scenario is still that the makers will continue this determined effort to whitewash Malini no matter what she says/does and the blame will always keep coming back to be laid on Adi-Imlie only.....End mein Didi will do some mahaan sacrifice to "free" them from their guilt and that will be it.

The worst case scenario I'm dreading is Adi then even blaming HIMSELF for Malini becoming what she's now becoming.....lol.....that supposedly him not giving her what she wants is turning her into this bitter/mean person.....lol so yeh bhi Adi ki hi galti hai....rather than anyone acknowledging that her personality issues were always there but glossed over by everyone.

Mostly looks like todays scene is the beginning of Malini turning into a vamp😆 for the Malini sympathy going on star plus page lol.like Imlie is doing some kind of atyachar on Malini. Gul loves her vamps. Looks like she will punish us showing her crying 🤔Only ShiTia was the harmless one.😆
