I feel like there is a delicate way to do it where it's more of the age thing than about her as a person. LIke he could definitely like her as a person but she's his student and due to that barrier she thinks it's not possible. I don't want her to self doubt her worth as an object of someone's affection because that would be demeaning as you said. I REALLY want to see a possessive Anokhi because I feel like he might pick up on it more than she would and I just want him to know that she feels the same right to him that he feels towards her.
