But see, somewhere the people who are causing such TRPs are at fault as well as the channel. If you want to see crap, you will get crap because producers want to survive and make money. Supply and Demand.

The channel, on the other hand, should take some responsibility in helping to influence viewers' tastes - media has a huge contribution here.

He is greedy and using his old trick by wooing fans because we will give free publicity to show and once show will get good trp he will show his true colours that's why I don't trust him and star plus. If he will prove me wrong I will never bash him or taunt him for his past shows 😆

I could not watch YHM later - just could not!!! And that show went on for so long!!!
All ML become spineless in the end

I am going to hang around until Ep100

Uske baad faraar!
I don’t think any ITV show is worth it after episode 100.

It is not always about new contents but how you present that also matter. Look at Tarak mehta show no family drama but still ruling the chart and if rumours to be believe star plus is buying trp 😆

Viewers don't want story but entertainment so serve them that way only. Many shows who are following same track still fail to gather good viewership

After covid many viewers turns towards online show so serve better

Star plus don't want to leave their comfort zones

Sai and Shivangi both deserve better! Because when the ML's character goes downhill it affects the dynamics with the FL too.

I find it insulting to actors and actresses when they are promised a great story and character which then gets butchered. Yes, I know they are aware of how ruthless the TRP game can be, but still. For both of them, I hope this is a stepping stone to even greater things.

Also, ITV needs to come to terms with either doing seasons or having finite series with a pre-determined story arc. It used to be like that a couple of decades ago and writers were able to think long term, because they were given that space and freedom. The TRP game today also affects writers' ability to craft good stories and sustain them.

Raghav Rao really is a rare character because of the number of layers and shades he has. There is SOOOOOO much potential to the story and his character arc, including his personal growth and the changing relationships around him. It's a shame if the PH messes it up. I too feel that you cannot follow a show until the end. Only 2 shows in ITV history managed to grab my interest until the end.

I agree with you.. What I'm trying to say is that people's tastes need to evolve, it's a reflection of society. The fact that so many people want to watch regressive content decade after decade is concerning, don't you think?

Yeah, comfort zone is definitely an important factor. It's a shame because even today, TV gives actors the biggest exposure out of all mediums out there (cinema, OTT, theater, etc.)

See end of the day, we have become a society that places higher value on money than on progressive uplifting

star plus loves being the king of that regressive market, they don’t want to change it

You want to watch something different, switch on other channels or platforms

ekta is the queen of regression

She has understood the market dynamics so well that if you look at her platform

She has stuff from

Decently written shows

to terribly written downs

To downright p*#}}n

she knows indian public ka taste very well

She has dumbed them down for it

They can’t deny that OTT changed the game

Shows used to get 6poinys TRP and all before

Now not more than 3/4

Not that many people watch ITV as much as before

Ekta knew it

The space of decent writing for middle class families does not exist on any platform

Netflix and Amazon shows you rich people or really poor people

The others are obsessed with violence and dark stories

Dice media and TVF show you young romance

The 35-45 people in middle class educated households have ITV as representation

It’s frankly disgusting
