IIt should have. The entire ensemble gave their best performances, shot in harsh ravines of Chambal and made a beautiful movie only for it to be ignored by people and critics alike.

I am going to be ridiculed for saying it but I liked Sonchiriya more than chichore. I liked chichore too, but Sonchiriya was entirely at another level.
