Vedha is the meatier role. Before Hrithik it was the role SRK and Aamir were attached to. Also, it's not as if Hrithik hasn't played a gangster before - see Agneepath.

Not true at all. He made him a three dimensional human instead of a "Hero".. But one who also plotted, schemed, used, shot, stabbed and drowned people.
