Shaurya's parents have never been his priority. Maybe he cared for his Dad a bit but not for his mom. On Tuesday, when Shaan shows the Saberwals the divorce papers, Shaurya asked his Dad if the latter is fine. Initially, I thought he didn't like the idea of divorce, but then I realized it was just genuine care for his Dad who he knew loves Aastha a lot and would never divorce her. The only time he actually felt something other than anger for Aastha was the night of his birthday when she went missing. That was guilt, not love. I don't see why he would/should get affected by the divorce. Shaan and Aastha were separated for 25 years. Everyone including Shaurya thinks their relationship has no hope left.
Currently, he is developing feelings for Anokhi. For Anokhi he has a sense of protectiveness, care, jealousy, possessiveness, guilt and a tad bit of anger. He has not felt such conflicted emotions for anyone. So when she is leaving, he doesn't like it. He wants to make her his priority. Maybe I agree his life shouldn't revolve around her, but I don't agree with his parents being his priority over her. When they signed the divorce papers, they didn't even talk about him because they knew he would be unaffected which he is. So if we blame Shaurya for being unaffected, why not blame Shaan and Aastha for being incognizant of his views when signing the papers?
