I don’t know what training officers take so ignore those discrepancies. As usual not proofread. Lack of sleep is the reason for quick updates
A few days earlier,
VIRAT POV
Virat didn’t want to go to this training. His mind was not in it. Things at home was not that great and he knows how stubborn Sai was. But it’s a compulsory training so he has to attend. He couldn’t even properly talk to Sai before leaving. As usual Miss. highness didn’t pick up his calls.
The training ran through the day and was done by 7 in the evening. Every time he had a minute to spare his thoughts were occupied by his Sai. This was the first time after marriage that he was staying away from her. He was not even able to sleep properly without her badbad. How the hell did he get so attached to her so quickly that Mr. (I won’t be distracted during my duty )Chavan cannot stop thinking about her.
So when Shekhar his batchmate asked if he wanted to go out for dinner and catch up he readily accepted any distraction from missing her.
He did warn that Barkha was also going to be a part of the group. He was a little apprehensive but it’s been a long time since he met her so , she must have also changed for the better.
Barkha was one of his batchmates. She was struggling and was the minority in a predominantly male profession. Virat tried to help her as much as possible even though others warned him that she was getting emotionally attached to him. Things started getting worse when she got super possessive of him when he tried to be helpful to others or did not give her attention. He could never be rude to anyone especially woman ( off late his fuse is a lil off cos of his temperamental wife ) , so it was a pain to get away from her. Thankfully she took a break and finished her training later.
The evening was surprisingly not bad. It was good catching up with friends and Barkha has changed a lot. They were sharing their good times and she even apologised for her past behaviour. Everyone was shocked to learn that he was married and didn’t even bother to invite them. He didn’t disclose the whole details except that it was a small gathering and everything happened in a hurry. He showed her photo at everyone’s insistence and had to endure their teasing which made him miss her more. He kept looking at his phone to see if his wife would call him or to occasionally glance at her picture when he didn’t feel like joining in the conversation.
He wanted to talk to Sai later that night so he didn’t drink but Shekhar was sloshed so he had to escort him to the restroom. Little did he know that he left his phone at the table, when his wife called and it was picked up by Miss. ( Not so changed and still obsessed) Barkha.
Virat has a savior complex! He really needs to define some boundaries for all the unecessarily chipkoo women in his life! Thank you for another update. Look forward to reading more:)
Awwwww poor Sai..... She is sad but more than that jealous too!!! 🤣🤣 Who could be that random woman who answered the phone and how did Sai reach there....... It is getting more and more interesting.
