Yeah her coming to the party all dressed up and dancing with Vanraj was odd... like they only got divorced recently, and Anu is still wearing mangalsutra on her neck... if Kavya feels insecure then why won't she?

I'm not at all suggesting that Anu should pander to the feelings of a deceitful, home-wrecking bitch like Kavya...

But if Anu was a real person I would definitely advice her to sit down, do some self reflection and figure out wtf it is she wants from life right now!

Does she want to be truly independent and make her own identity away from Vanraj? Then she should move out. As even assuming Vanraj does the decent thing and leaves, Baa is only going to keep inviting himj more and more in the coming years once him and Kavya marry and have a kid or two... and in the event that VanYa get divorced or break up before even getting to the marriage stage, Vanraj will inevitably want to move back into the Shah family's house...

And with regards to her expectations from her kids too- does Anu want them to condemn Vanraj for his affair and take her side in this matter? If she does then she should be happy or at least un-affected when they do so (rather than sternly reprimanding them and borderline emotionally blackmailing them to forgive him) .

Or does she want them to be strictly neutral and behave normally with their father as if nothing happened? In that case why does she become sad and disappointed whenever Toshu or Pankhi do something to show that the affair hasn't majorly affected how they see their father??

Whatever it is, Anupama needs to do some major soul searching right now, and hopefully that will make her take a stand for herself and finally move out of the Shah's house, and move on in life...

But I wouldn't keep my hopes too high from these makers tbh...

Anu is portrayed as a 100% perfect devi who is the epitome of mamta and womanhood, so self-reflection is unnecessary for her in their eyes...

And even after the divorce was made official and Aninda (Vee) married June (maide ki katori), Sreemoyee carried on living in the same house and even cared for June through her fake pregnancy 🤢

In that respect Anupama was much better, it was made clear that the affair is disgusting and wrong (at least in the beginning before Anu became Anu 3.0 who calls it "galti" )

Though yes you are right, in many ways Anu has a lot more in her favor than Mauli did despite Mauli being a doctor and all (Anu is also employed, and she has grown up kids... she won't be faced with the task of raising a baby alone)...

And watching on and off I was pleasantly surprised that they showed Mauli (truly!) moving on from Kunal and marrying someone else despite Kunal wanting to reconcile after Nandini passed away...

And I agree so much with the line at the bottom... if they have a decent, stable employment and kids old enough to take care of themselves then lack of education is not an excuse for showing no self respect...

The old-fashioned women who just ignore their husbands' affairs and are just satisfied with control of the home are better than Anu 3.0 imo... they would never allow sautan to live in their house and hand blank papers to their ex husband ffs...

Yes makers of sbrk wanted to justify kunal nandini affair with several god interventions using Indian emotions but they were shocked looking at public’s response and people were very impressed with the way mauli character was written.

Anupama has 3 grown up kids to take care of themselves and all have decent stable income so she is in much better state than mauli. It’s all about how much you value your self respect. Anupama is not at all that much string which they are trying to portray .

Actions speaks louder than words .

I agree with your last line , I have seen old fashioned ladies who completely ignore husband’s affair but never allow sautan to live in their house.

@bold : exactly my question. If she wants her kids and daughter in law should behave neutral and give all the due respect to not just vanraj but Kavya too by giving her one chance, in that case she should not feel bad/sad whenever toshu takes his father’s side and ignoring that GALTI.

Why anupama wants her kids and kinjal should give one chance to Kavya???

Yeah I remember them showing those kind of events (like that mysterious man later suggested to be God basically telling Nandini to go have an affair with Kunal 😳) and it was ridiculous...

But I was happy with the way Mauli's character shaped up to stick with her right decision no matter what... she didn't allow herself to come under pressure.

I guess most of us strongly disliking Anu's character right now were expecting something similar from her, and we're just extremely disappointed at the way things are turning out here...

Shadi Mubarak is much better . Preeti left his abusive sons house who is xerox copy of her husband both never valued or respected Preeti .

Preeti become business woman , earned respect and moved on with KT in her life , keeping high head and self respect intact.

After the age of 40 years , it takes courage to move out, become business woman and life gave her chance to start fresh life which she accepted in the form of KT.

Yes!

It seems to be either purely lazy writing or an indecisiveness/disagreement between the CVs of how to portray Anu...

Because it makes no sense for a divorced woman to keep asking her kids to behave as normal with their father/her ex and then get upset when they do...

They are making her into a very confused character, but presenting her as perfect at the same time, not acknowledging that she has flaws/made some mistakes which is what's irritating right now...

Ram Kapoor is my favourite. Muje to abhi se anuj character ke liye bura lag raha hai. Anupama ki priority hamesha vanraj Kavya baa Babuji rahege . Anupama ke life mai agar Anuj aya to woh Anuj ka loss hoga because anupama inn sab logo ke liye Anuj ki bhi taken for granted legi.
