I guess we have seen silsila badalte rishto ka.

There also husband ditched wife for wife's best friend and selfish best friend got married to mauli's husband on the divorce day itself. That was very progressive show with more logical dialogues where mauli left kunal when she was PREGNANT. she had not holded her husband kunal's leg for the sake of her unborn child. She left for the sake of that UNBORN child and kept her self respect VERY HIGH.

So Anupama is not first woman who is not holding husband's leg. Mauli was way more stronger than anupama. Not because she was doctor but because her self respect was above everything for her that's why she dared to leave her husband when she was having child in her womb. That's called courage and self respect too.

Mauli had shown way more courage than anupama and anupama looks very tiny in front of mauli's fight as single mother, mauli's fight to face betrayal, mauli's confidence was broken when her husband left her for mauli's best friend NANDINI .

Here anupama is sooo weak that she is unable to convince her teenage daughter that it's her father's decision to do affair and have second woman in his life. In no way anumapa is strong as compare to character like mauli which i have seen.

It's not about woman is educated or not, it's all about how much she values her self respect.

It would have been nice if she didn't turn up at the birthday party dressed to the nines in designer saree, matching jewellery, bold makeup, sporting that big long mangalsutra (and she wonders why Kavya thinks she wants to steal her Vee right back from her lmao 😆)...

But I was able to stomach even that back then thinking she was doing it so that it won't look weird/odd in front of people like Rakhi, Dolly-Sanjay, otr upset Baa and Pankhi that she didn't come to the party, and rather to prove that she HAD moved on rather that that she hadn't (though the mangalsutra still confused/annoyed me)...

But right now for Anu it's VanYa, their feelings, their egos over everything. Earlier she used to do whatever Baa wanted but now she isn't even doing that...

Yes i never liked her decision to be a part of ex-husband's birthday celebration that too in the present of vanraj's love of life. Anupama cake khaye ya na khaye doesn't matter, it was so unrealistic to see anupama's presence in the party.

I found SBRK strange, because it was written in a way to justify the affair, and to show that both Kunal and Nandini were good people in spite of it (when it was plain to see they were both terrible- in fact it was difficult to see who was worse in that case)...

In that respect Anupama was much better, it was made clear that the affair is disgusting and wrong (at least in the beginning before Anu became Anu 3.0 who calls it "galti" )

Though yes you are right, in many ways Anu has a lot more in her favor than Mauli did despite Mauli being a doctor and all (Anu is also employed, and she has grown up kids... she won't be faced with the task of raising a baby alone)...

And watching on and off I was pleasantly surprised that they showed Mauli (truly!) moving on from Kunal and marrying someone else despite Kunal wanting to reconcile after Nandini passed away...

And I agree so much with the line at the bottom... if they have a decent, stable employment and kids old enough to take care of themselves then lack of education is not an excuse for showing no self respect...

The old-fashioned women who just ignore their husbands' affairs and are just satisfied with control of the home are better than Anu 3.0 imo... they would never allow sautan to live in their house and hand blank papers to their ex husband ffs...
