A voice: This marriage can’t happen.
Everyone turned around to see a disheveled Rhea Mehra standing there looking completely shocked.
Pallavi: If Rhea is here then who did Ranbir get married to?
The bride slowly removed her long veil. All were shocked to see a smirking Prachi standing in the mandap with Ranbir. Both Prachi and Ranbir smiled widely seeing the confused faces around them.
Pragya: Prachi??
Ranbir: Yes sasu ma… Mrs Prachi Ranbir Kohli. My WIFE.
Rhea: No, this can’t happen. You can’t cheat me like this Prachi.
Prachi: You of all people have no right to talk about cheating Rhea.
Ranbir: Prachi is right. You are the most disgusting person I have ever met Rhea Mehra. You used your own mother’s happiness as a bargaining chip. And you tried to destroy your own sister’s life along with mine.
Pragya: (shocked) … using my happiness? What are you talking about Ranbir?
Ranbir: Yes sasu ma. The evil girl you call your younger daughter tried to blackmail Prachi using you. The deal was that Rhea will unite you and Mr Mehra if Prachi leaves me. It is good that Aaryan and I got to know the truth on time. Otherwise this evil Rhea would have destroyed all our lives.
Pragya felt a rage consuming her hearing Ranbir’s words. The girl who was supposed to be her daughter tried to make a deal using her happiness as trump card. That girl tried to destroy her Prachi’s life using her. Pragya went ahead and slapped Rhea hard.
Rhea: How dare you slap me?
Pragya: How dare you destroy my Prachi’s life? I should have realized earlier that just because you are my blood I shouldn’t have forgiven all your crimes. If I had taken strict actions earlier, you wouldn’t have dared to play with so many lives.
Shahana: But how did Prachi take Rhea’s place in the mandap?
Aliya: I helped her.
Aliya’s words came as the biggest shock to Mehras, Kohlis and especially Rhea.
Rhea: Buji you did this?
Aliya: Yes Rhea. I couldn’t support your evil plans any more. So I decided to make up for my past sins by helping Prachi and Ranbir.
Aliya smirked seeing Rhea’s shocked face while Purab and Aaryan rolled their eyes at her fake act. They knew very well that Aliya helped them to escape from punishment. Aliya knew that Rhea’s plan has failed miserably the moment Prachi, Ranbir and Aaryan joined forces. So the only way to save herself was to help them against Rhea. That is precisely what Aliya did.
Abhi: What evil plans?
Ranbir: Are really that naïve Mr Mehra that you don’t know about all the plans your daughter made against Prachi?
Abhi was taken aback by the hostility on Ranbir’s voice. That boy has always respected him. But today something was different about him.
Ranbir was seriously pissed off with Mr Mehra. He was the main reason for Prachi’s sorrows. If he had a spine and accepted his wife earlier, none of this would have happened. Instead he acted like a puppet in the hands of his psycho daughter and hurt Prachi. And Ranbir was never going to forgive that man.
Prachi: Everything wrong that happened in my life ever since I came to Delhi was orchestrated by Rhea Mehra. Starting with that necklace case, to drug case, MMS scandal, murder attempt and kidnappings. Everything was done by Rhea. On top of that she was the one who brought Maya into our lives.
Vikram: What??
Ranbir: Yes Dad. Rhea was the one who brought Maya to separate me and Prachi. She was also the one who kept on failing our attempts to expose Maya.
Aliya: They are telling the truth. The video I showed you people was fake.
Pallavi couldn’t believe what she heard. The girl he thought was good for her son was such a big fraud. Pallavi felt so ashamed of all her actions against innocent Prachi who always tried to help them. With eyes burning with fury, she went and slapped Rhea hard.
Pallavi: How dare you hurt my son Rhea? I considered you a good girl and chose you for my son. I even hurt Prachi for your sake. And you did so much to hurt my son. I will not leave you Rhea.
Rhea was in complete shock. She thought that she had succeeded in all her plans and hurt Prachi beyond measure. But everything turned against her so soon. Even her Buji betrayed her. And that hurt her the most. Suddenly she realized how alone she is. She looked at her parents. They looked at her with anger, disappointment and hatred. Prachi and Ranbir’s faces showed utmost hate and disgust for her. Even the rest of the family looked at her with contempt.
Prachi: Those who try to hurt others will never be happy Rhea. One day or other, they will have to face punishment for their actions. And you cannot steal anyone’s love. That is why, no matter how much you tried, me and Ranbir always stayed together. And look at you now… all alone. This is what you get for hurting others, including your own mother.
Suddenly a few police officers came there.
Vikram: What is police doing here?
Purab: I called them here. They are here to arrest Rhea and Aliya for all their crimes.
Aliya: What? You can’t do that to me Purab.
Purab: Just shut up Aliya. We know that you are the mastermind behind everything. You manipulated your one niece, tried to murder the other one and plotted to destroy your own brother’s life. You deserve to bein jail along with Rhea.
Aaryan: Yes Aliya Mehra. We simply used you to fail Rhea’s plan. Now you will rot in jail for all your mistakes. I am ashamed to call my mother now. Officer please take them away.
Rhea tried to plead with her parents to save her. But they simply turned away from her. They learned their lesson and were not going to make the same mistake again. Police dragged away both Rhea and Aliya.
Priest: Bride and groom should take blessings from their elders now.
Ranbir and Prachi went and touched Pragya, Vikram, Dadi and Purab’s feet. They also hugged Aaryan and Shahana. And they simply ignored the rest of them. They were going to start a new life and they didn’t want anything to do with the people who thought ill for them.
Abhi was deeply hurt by their behavior. So were Pallavi and Dida. But they knew that they are responsible for this situation. They hurt their kids so much. But now they were determined to make it upto their kids. They were willing to try till their kids forgive them completely, no matter how long it took.
