Where do I begin today😆......the curtain got lifted from so many pending questions today that it's a lot to break down.
We start off first with an Imlie spitting mad as Babusahib literally follows her around like a lamb to beg her forgiveness....she keeps telling him to leave but he refuses....lol....there was a beautifully shot slow motion sequence as they showed him following her and literally moving every step in sync with hers.....she basically asked him with what haq he's following her....lol and as expected, dismissed all his big words in front of the villagers as naatak....she even brushed off his on the knees apology😆....and I guess we got our first preview of the hostel track....Imlie won't go back with him and she told him today she'll go live in a hostel in the city whenever she comes to the city. To which Adi says that married women aren't allowed to stay in hostels..... and we were shown Adi feeling a conscious pinch for the first time about Imlie saying she will take off her sindoor/MS to live in the hostel just like she did when she lived at his house. Then when he insisted on her forgiveness, she told him it's not about forgiveness ....mistakes and forgiveness happen between APNE......what are we? And in that moment Adi had no answer....the light was meant to switch on later in the episode....lol....this was step one of the realization in the epi.
LMAO@ the bit when he gets irritated and goes if you tell me to leave again, I'll leave for real and Imlie's like "BYE BYE, ab jaayiye"🤣.....oho Babusahib ki itni chop aaj, itni chop😆
Gundas finally showed up.....and the sugarcanes was what Adi BEAT THEM UP with🤣.....kahaan hum log soch rahe the Adi-Imlie saath mein baith ke ganne khaayenge.....but Babusahib ne toh ganne kya PHODE gundo ke upar ek ke baad ek😆.....setting up step number two with Adi once again saying in front of the goons that she's his wife, that the MS in her neck is Adi ke naam ka etc. etc.....Imlie finally pulls him off the goons and stares at him in shock over what all he's saying and doing.....before she finally collapses to the ground. Adi rushes to comfort her....again telling her he's with her and she asks him in turn, "Kab tak?....till when?".....Rain interrupts before he can reply....and off they go running to find shelter in a hut yet again😆
Which brings us to the third and final step of the realization today.....life came full circle as they were in a hut yet again after being caught in the rain.....but this time they had an old couple to take them in, offer them clothes and food.....finally setting up the most pivotal moment of the episode with a big window in the backdrop.....lol. Adi is literally zapped seeing Imlie in a sari with open flowing hair....not like it's the first time he's seen her in a sari with open hair....but something about the simplicity of her look there undid him for the first time......lol both of them were suddenly feeling all shy as they sat next to each other too.....haha....I actually initially thought they'll share the plate of food and finally eat together after being hungry all day😆.....but I guess the conversation was more important.....haha
Imlie opens up the conversation by again musing about how she used to think the rain is her friend but it ended up being her biggest enemy.....Adi asks for her forgiveness again...she tells him again that it's not about forgiveness but if he wants to hear it for his peace of mind, she forgives him.....but Adi still doesn't really find his peace. Imlie then moves on to musing that this naatak has dragged on too long now and finally tomorrow when he leaves, it will finally all end.....he won't have to participate in fake mannats, or pretend to support her in front of others or pretend to be her husband....that finally seemed to be too much for Adi and then begins the cycle of revealing some truths and admitting ki farak padta hai.....lol
Adi reveals that he wasn't pretending to be her husband.....and use farak padta hai....use farak padaa when Imlie left the house and he couldn't even bear to live in the house without her....doing the rituals with her, supporting her, being her husband is not a naatak for him.....so in typical Adi style, ghumaa phiraa ke bol hi diya ki hum tumhaare pati hain😆.
It became a stream of consciousness for Adi after that point in some ways as he finally let it all out in a flow....his hand reaching out to want to cup her face in yearning but pulling back at the last minute and telling her, "I did all this because I want to see you happy....humne kabhi tumse kuch nahin chhupaaya"....and finally he admits that she is the only person who knows the FULL truth about him....his torment, his majboori, his guilt...she knows it all...that she knows him more than he knows himself😲😆.....I didn't think he'd admit it so easily....but that's Adi I guess....lol
Adi has used the "pyar aur zimmedaari ke beech ki ladaai" waali line many times before to imply that Malini is the pyar and Imlie is the zimmedaari.....but today, the writers cleverly flipped it without Adi even saying it directly that Imlie is now the pyaar and Malini is the zimmedaari😆.....the meaning still came through....because everything he said after that point reinforced this.....with Adi saying, "I can't bear that the one who knows the full truth about me should think that I'm lying to her....farak padta hai is baat se humein".....and then finally culminating with, "I don't know if you'll remember me but please remember that these three days were not a lie....Remember that I will always remember you....Promise me you'll always remember that you've made a place in my heart". And then ofcourse, because it is Imlie, she understands completely and gives him that promise just as he asked.
The hug in the end was so beautifully built up and shot.....this entire PD trip has been about both of them restlessly searching for a sign that they matter to each other.....and in this moment they both got their answer. You could feel the palpable emotion between them as they both want to reach out to hold each other....each hesitating to hold the other's hand....until finally Adi is able to pull her into a hug....and the SUKOON that spreads over both of them as they settle into that hug....the tears that fall from both their eyes as they hug each other in that moment....what a culmination....I feel like I a witnessed something out of an old classic film....the way they captured the emotion of these two characters in that moment was something else......Kudos to GM-ST and the direction team for such a wonderful sequence.
Well, a lot happened today.....in directions contrary to many of our predictions😆...so I guess we should process that for a bit.
Precap seems to be a comical moment as they prepare to go to that restaurant.....Adi-Imlie seem to be at peace cuz they managed to speak their truth to each other....I guess woh baaki ka baad mein sochenge😆
