His anger built up only cuz he doesn't know why it pinched him to have Imlie look through him, to not show any concern for when he's eaten😆......HAQ nahin hai na Imlie se puchhne ka ki mujhe 2 minute toh dekh lo, baat kar lo.....mere saath khaana khaa lo😆

@bold - exactly. And why would she suddenly give any haq anyway. Itni baar jo gair kanooni bol chuka hai. She is like his favorite punching bag - the first time he refused to eat itself she gleaned that he had not eaten because she hadn’t and that truth annoyed him so much that he yelled at her. Poor thing actually referenced that as being akin to eating, daant in this case - he completely forgot in his anger that she had not eaten too. He will slowly learn that a relationship is not a one way street.

It is amazing how he suddenly wants to be the beacon of someone else’s existence without actually doing anything to generate the light.

Exactly. And generate the light toh chhodo, he goes out of his way to dim the light....and still he expects Imlie to give him all the regard in the world.....lol what a spoilt brat you are, Babusahib.

And good point....as usual he got busy in his own confusions and forgot that poor Imlie also hasn't eaten since morning since she's running around for her study notes.....the collateral damage of his inability to understand or manage his emotions keeps adding up....and Imlie is always the one at the receiving end. So yeah, he has a LOT more to make up for than just asking her to marry someone else😆.

He needs to at the least shut up with the "illegal" crap if nothing else...if it's illegal to you, toh theek hai na, tumse kaun puchh raha hai? Did she ask you to make it legal? Tum itna kyun uchhal rahe ho? 😆.....and agar illegal hai toh stop declaring it to be some "absolute truth" in public every other day🤔😆.....can't have it both ways. At the very least, she should ask him to pick a stance on the shaadi and stick to it😆.

Seems like Imlie's big speech about her words going unheeded may pinch him enough to think he hurt her by not respecting her decisions and her right to live her life as she wants to, that is why he's doing this on the knees gesture to let her know he can respect her decision.

In that sense, it's just seeming like another round of the truce convo from the hospital scene...."I won't stop you from maanoing this rishta"😆....and err....I don't think that's going to cut it at this point in the story, Adi babu/writer log😆.....I can understand that he will want to stick to his denial and not admit what all has changed, but he can't be let off the hook with just this much now.....he has to give up something more than that for it to matter😛......

Let's see what we get.....lol cuz there is still the goon attack and the rain sequence left to tie in after this apology scene....and then I guess whatever happens the rest of this "last day/night" in PD😆.

@bold - this. And also the fact that he’s said he will not insult her previously during the bike scene and went on to do just that because he was burning with jealousy. His words are of no use if he thinks he’s saying the right thing while apologizing and then goes around doing something exactly opposite 30 minutes later. I think what I want to see is absolutely no reference to how his Malini apologies feel to us viewers.

This guy does get a lot of breaks though. Even if Imlie does not thaw during his apology, she might relent a bit after the goon attack. Maybe the ganna is their meal together 😆

Looks like it will be atleast another 3 episodes in PD. Hopefully Imlie extracts her worth in whatever she decides to do next.

I also randomly picked an old epi to watch since everyone else was doing some rewatches this weekend😆

Coincidentally the epi I picked (Epi#30) ended up being an epi where they showed a contrast between Malini and Imlie's bonding with the family. On one side was Malini fretting before her marriage to Adi if she will manage to know everyone in his family that well......on the other side was Imlie shown to say that she doesn't KNOW the family that much, but she UNDERSTANDS them.....because she considers them her own (apna).....and her mom says that if you consider someone your apna dil se (from the heart), it doesn't take YEARS to understand them.

Kinda shows why we are where we are at this point in the story, no? Even after 7 years with Adi, Malini didn't really feel like she knew his family that much.....and it took Imlie barely 7 days to UNDERSTAND his family....already several steps ahead of "knowing"😆......and this extrapolates to Adi himself too. In 7 years of dating, Malini kept trying to KNOW Adi more than UNDERSTAND him.....and Imlie managed to UNDERSTAND him in just a few weeks of meeting him when he barely gave her a hand to hold.

*Edit: Oh and this was also the epi in which Adi referred to Imlie as ghar ki naukar cuz he didn't want her to attend the jagraata......Aparna bajaaoed him solid in this one.....lol Babusahib, aapke kaands ki list itni lambi hai, kahaan se ginti shuru karein😆

Re:Illegality - he uses it so much as a shield that he fears looking at what it would mean if he stopped using the tag. And it gets used only with her. With everyone else he goes around chest thumping that she is his wife etc etc like you said. I do not doubt he even realizes for a second how significant his word choices were yesterday. Which is what I was referring to when they showed it in the precap. He said such heavy words, without batting an eyelid, like they were coming from the depths of his being. But Imlie will only take it as his herogiri. How can she construe it as anything else at all even for a moment? It will be something else if he stops questioning the legality of it all.

Re: collateral damage - forget the damage he has done in Delhi, the damage he has done in the past and currently doing in PD wrt Imlie is so distressing to view. It is stunning to watch an adult twice Imlie’s age being put through the grinder because of his sheer inability and refusal to read himself.

😆 Caz babusahib wants it to be the legal one..every fiber in his body wants it to be legal but then he uses that as his faltu denial point caz otherwise it is starting to feel a lot more real a lot more legal even to him too ke he had to bring but it is illegal wala stupid excuse and have to say it loud caz aur to koi bolega nahi iss baat pe toh losed khud apne moonh se nakaar ke samjhega bada teer maar dia maine when he knows how much real and legal it is 🤣 < confused babusahib 😆 needs to pick a side

This is the basis of the bonding.. bottom line wohi hai dil ka rishta bas ban jaata hai.. usko koi bha jaata hai uske liye koi checklist nahi hai.. apanpan and dil se judne main bas pal lagte hain all one needs to thoda compassion and pyar.. yeh koi soch samjh ke nahi hote.. glaring difference yehi hai ke malini tab bhi adi ke gharwale his family his rishte hi bol rahi thi and ab bhi while Imlie came and she gave them all her family ka oyaar her family wala apnapan and they all reciprocated like that too it was never mera tera eveb though she knew yeh uska shayad kabhi na ho sake even he kept warning her ke back off you all are gonna get hurt but it was impossible for them to create that wall between them caz Tripathi's returned her pyar and apnapan with as much love and warmth.. they went above and beyond to not make her feel bad treat her as their own.. and again as imlie said in one episode to ac when she came to check the room ke jab ek naukrani ko itna pyaar mil sakat hai toh bahurani ko kitna bas aona dil bada kwrne ke baat hai apna dil bada karo toh poori duniya mil jaati and agar usko hi tang kar lo toh kuch nahi.. she did it they did it and it was match made perfect fit.. while nalini nahi kar paayi dil bada despite all her sweetness sweetness acha dikhna.. she never let's the guard go down and woh formality and samjhne ki koshish nahi ki these people isi liye usse sach main samjh nahi aata what they say or do she can't read their emotions or even adi's for that matter..

And as if that was not enough, then last scene mein aake marzi and zaroorat ka bhaashan maar ke phir Imlie ko aise dekh raha tha jaise isko TROPHY deni chahiye us baat ke liye.....Buzz off, Babusahib😛.....I was so glad she was just watching him with a "Oh ok one more list of meaningless declarations from him" expression😆.....she dismisses all this as his nautanki to put on a show for the villagers...and sahi bhi hai.....any sane person would view him like this only after all his flips and lying.

This is why I'm not really that moved by his on the knees apology so far in the precap either😆....the apology shouldn't just be for the "marry someone else" thing.....he's treating Imlie like some toy jisko kabhi bhi patni maan lo, kabhi bhi kisi aur ke saath pack kar do.....and because his denial and confusion is still very much active, is apology ke baad bhi aage yehi sab karta rahega kisi aur topic pe bhi jab isko next round of "baat khatam karni hai" attack hoga....lol so soon his on the knees "big apology" will then get rendered meaningless too😆.

I hope the writers are thinking through how they are tackling his flips in this phase.....yeah I get that it's a journey for him to process all this mentally and emotionally but some kind of baseline needs to be set or his character will just end up looking utterly hollow in the long run.

You said I all I have nothing to add 👍🏼😛 and yes the feeling is mutual regarding not feeling sympathy just yet.. yes he has humbled down to do that and that has a shock value but remains to be seen how he follows it whether he is able to keep his word or not.. that will decide whether it was worth it or no.. 😆 at this point it seems like coming more from his desperate need to have her keep the Connect going caz seems like she will give him a cold shoulder and he can't handle a roothi imlie matlab Delhi se yahan tak aa gaya and ab ghutno pe bhaith gaya and this is him.ending rofl hahahaha OK then again 2 secs ka connection cut toh can't he bardaasht
