I think Shaurya knows Devi as well as she knows him. If she can sense when something is bothering him, he knows there are things that will make her insecure. So I think part of the reason he lies is because of that. I think her insecurity is seriously suffocating to him but he can't say anything because one, he is indebted to her, and two, she is all he has. In a way, Shaurya's insecurity is similarly suffocating because we're seeing how he behaves with Anokhi at the slightest hint of her giving attention to someone else. I don't know if he is yet ready to accept what Aastha said to be real and even if he did, he might justify to himself why Devi did it. Because it would be too much for him to handle if he let himself question the entire foundation of his beliefs/life. Right now, she is the only person in his life that he can be fully secure in. And Devi reminding him that Aastha left him was in part to keep him emotionally tethered to her. So long as he doesn't have any other emotional solace, Shaurya will always stay near her. That's why she gets worried anytime anyone eles gets close to him and it's also why he is lying more now because he is slowly finding that comfort elsewhere. So the less dependent he becomes on her, the more open he'll be to seeing a possibility that Aastha was right. But I don't know if he's there just yet.

Random but the fact that Aastha and Shaan carved their names in a heart into the library bookcase was cute but hilarious to me. Because who writes their full names in such a public place in such huge letters when they were both students in SIAC at that time 😆

Same. Actually I am really expecting him to act on his protective instinct this time. He is clearly losing control since past few episodes and I am sure he will raise a voice on someone and then be like let me cover this by adding a smile or maybe not even that.

I am actually 90% inclined towards thinking that he will raise his voice😆

As it is he did not intend to correct Devi today when he said "Uska naam Anokhi hai" it just popped out because for a split second his face was like "Did I just say that" 😆 and since the cat was out of the bag anyway he gave that awkward forced smile and said "Anokhi Bhalla"
