They are showing different languages on TV

And this is the first show they are actually

Showing cross cultures after YHM

It’s the same producers

They know this is the USP of the show

I hope they make more effort to show the differences and the beauty in them

Also Telugu people don’t call father - Appa that is a Tamil thing. they say Naana

Anyways I am still happy at this attempt.
After some time this will also slowly disappear

The problem is not the characterization of RR or that he tries to speak in all south languages. The problem is that what is passed for tamil and mallu was a whole bunch of gibberish. It was the same kind of offensive when in SRK is spewing gibberish with "Rascala" at the end to indicate that he was saying some south dialog.

I find his accent super awesome when he speaks Hindi. It's very refreshing to hear and totally adds to his swag! I don't mind having a male lead who's diction isn't perfect because this totally suits the character, i.e. that's what people sometimes sound like when they speak a second language. In my case, I speak two or three languages but always with an influence of my first language that gives me an accent. Most important is his facial expressions and dialogue delivery. Perfect, just perfect!

His style is actually growing on me. Props to the actor, he's improving in every episode. It usually takes actors a few weeks to get into the groove and find their feet when starting a new show and looks like he's found his. I was skeptical about how they may pull this off because I didn't want to see stereotypes overdone again, but right now they seem to have found a happy medium. I guess they need to please all kinds of audiences.

My favorite scene by far is the one where she goes to his house to pay him back for the gifts and they both speak in their respective languages. It highlights how different their cultures and natures are but still how much they seem to be made for each other.

mallus and tamil too speak good hindi but we dont want to come out of that language zone.

tamilians r more into mother tongue lovers...

malayalees... north n central kerala...i dont knw

but south kerala spcly Trivandrum... most f them speak Hindi so well...

I’m speaking about the general population of Tamil Nadu. Of course now people are more willing to learn new things and language is one of them. Naan solrathu saamaaniya makkal.

I am a malayali...and I speak good hindi..but really I didn't understand what he told in malayalam...really I always feel the other states people have a confusion between keralites and tamilians...both languages,cultures,dressing styles, life styles are really different...

Coming back to the show...as a malayali I strongly feel,if u cant speak a language well,don't try it..his tamil was ok...but not malayalam...I am really offended with the makers for this

Raghav is a Telugu guy, who spoke a line or two in Tamil and Malayalam in one scene. It may not be perfect but I will assume that since Telugu is his first language, not Tamil or Malayalam, some mistakes should be pardonable for the character.

I also strongly disagree with the sentiment that if someone can’t speak a language well, they shouldn’t try at all. People can only learn to speak another language by practising it. Even if they make a mistake, it should be communicated without getting offended.

I am so thrilled to see a show based in the South, especially Hyderabad. Hoping that the makers get the support they deserve to carry the story forward ❤️
