Considering the year they are showing is 1920, there were already a law in place to deal with child marriages ie age of consent act 1891 that raised the age of consent for marriage and sexual consent from 10 to 12.. meaning there were already a law in place.

Plus I request makers, if they are reading this post. please research about child marriage restraint act, 1929 too if they are planning to show a leap. I am pretty sure ki leap ke baad bhi drama chalega inka.

Chalo maan liya makers ko history mai weak hai, par atleast they could have researched a bit abt post independence laws on child marriage.

Even today child marriages can be nullified only when both the husband wife give consent to it.
