Question For Hindi Serial Watchers ? Are actors recycled often ?

Do those shows reuse the same actors for different roles ? I understand the character is killed and a twin or doppelgänger shows up maybe happens. But is it always referenced

Let’s say I worked on some show. An I’m

Killed off 😞. 2 months down the line another character shows up with my face. I know the norm is to say “hey you look like This dead guy” But what if it isn’t referenced. An I just go about being a new character and no one says you use to look this guy. Does that happen often ?

never seen it happen unless it is a very very small role.

Dil mil gayye is the only one I can think of.

Shilpa Anand played the lead role of Riddhima opposite Karan Singh Grover. Then she left the show and was replaced twice. Finally three years later, Jennifer Winget was playing Riddhima and Shilpa Anand came back as a character named Shilpa opposite Karan Singh Grover.

It happened with Irfaan khan too itseems in one of his serials(he said so in Son of Abish) he left the after he got bored or something and they killed him and then they asked him to come back and him teh name taht was almost similar to his old character's.

no way in hell, you gotta be kidding me. I used to love this show for many episodes but after a while I stopped watching and now what you’re saying sounds so bizarre.

One question cuz I’m curious - so if shilpa Anand came back as shilpa opposite KSG, who was Riddhima paired against during this time period? Cuz as far as I remember, Armaan and Riddhima were the IT couple...

But yeah, I don't think that happens unless it's a small character, or at least one of those characters is a useless, side character.

I bet there are plenty in Hindi serials but i dont know any .. 😛😆

The only one i can think of is FRIENDS : Joey's agent Estella and the Doctor/Nurse who delivered Ben ( Ross's son ) was played by the same actress ..

Armaan Malik is till date my favorite hindi serial character. 13 years later, noone comes close.

Hahahah I know, it was insane. Riddhima was married to another character Siddarth played by Karan Wahi. My love for Karan and Shilpa together made me watch it once she returned but it didn't feel the same. And I think the other fans didn't like it either. So in the end Armaan and Riddhima ended up together, like the very last scene of the last episode.

Ok thanks. Cause it happens on American soaps all the time. This week this guy was shot to death. Everyone is mourning him and looking for the killer but come May Sweeps. The actor is gonna show up again 😆😆 We will see if it’s referenced ☺️
