@bold - exactly. And the fascination was already there from the moment they first met. Koi toh jaake Aditya ne jo photos kheenche PD main from that first takkar, dekh toh le. Imlie hi bhari hongi unme. He did not have to take her pictures then, jaa rahi thi woh, but kheenchta chala gaya.

Their feelings for each other is so deep-seated that we do not need him to suddenly wake up one morning and go you are beautiful etc etc. His “will eat from your thali “ was all that and more. Wordplay between these two will always demonstrate more than what it means on the surface. As far as physicality is concerned, yes hugs are beautiful but even the fact that they took a step and stopped as soon the janta around them cleared after the recent takkar was sufficient to divulge their state of mind and need.

I just wanted to add one more point about Malini before I forget and get distracted again😆.

It's worth noting the last major convo that Malini had with Adi when he OFFERED to answer all her questions regarding himself and Imlie.....and she HERSELF shut him down and said, nope, I don't need any explanations...our trust is 100% etc. etc......well basically, that was Malini's last chance to hold on to Adi I think....and she bungled it up big time.

Cuz everything changed for Adi after that scene....he hasn't been the same from the moment he saw Imlie at the goons ka den....he just became more and more consumed with thinking about Imlie from thereon....so before Malini goes about casting blame as usual...it's worth remembering the last chance she did get to open up communication channels with Adi....and she didn't. So all this crying, haaye main bechaari act rings all the more hollow now....she got MANY chances to question Adi....she could have talked to him after the bridge incident, after the restaurant incident....and she didn't. Now she wants to sit and cry simply cuz he's spending two days away from her.....lol....there is such a thing as a window of opportunity....and that is something Malini herself closed on her relationship by trying to act mahaan about things she didn't really feel assured over. Now that window is closed and Adi is literally and figuratively beyond her reach....he has emotionally moved on to Imlie in a way he never had before.....and Malini can keep trying to drag him back with however much emotional blackmail, guilt trips, but he is more or less gone now. He may be beside her physically but mentally/emotionally he's now out of her reach....it just depends when she will realize it.

That way AC ka dialogue at the restaurant was indeed prophetic....that Adi and Malini will soon change in a way that they won't even be able to recognize each other....ofcourse AC wanted to blame Imlie for that.....but the truth is that Adi-Malini's personalities are now coming out unvarnished.....this is the real Adi coming out with Imlie.....and this is the real Malini coming out when she doesn't have a protective bubble around her to coddle her.

Exactly. Adi I think feels out of place in the shehri crowd...lol, I relate to this actually. He is an intense, soulful man...which think he hides out of self-preservation. The shehri crowd is superficial, so caught up in appearances that they never bother to scratch beneath the surface. He wears the mask of a Grinch, so they think he is actually one.

He craves substance/depth, which he didn't get from any of his relationships until Imlie. Iss liye he immediately made up with Malini after that Imlie wrote that poem. His soul was touched by the depth in it. And Imlie stood by him through life and on the brink of death, even after bearing the brunt of his raging anger, intensity & taunts. He has belatedly recognised this and this I think deepened his feelings for her. Life just doesn't seem like a burden when he is in her presence. He doesn't need to pretend to be perfect to be accepted. Which in a weird way makes him WANT to be put more effort into being more caring & considerate.

The irony is that Malini keeps claiming that she gave him understanding throughout their relationship by letting him be with his work....but that wasn't really understanding in so much as a convenience they both got used to, not really realizing the core hollowness that kept growing over time.

Indeed, his relationship with Malini has always been devoid of substance.

Let me reference one of Adi's own lines to describe his relationship with Malini: "A relationship is a prison when the partner is wrong, but if the partner is right that relationship becomes your wings." He inadvertently constructed his own prison by choosing the wrong life partner.😆 Consequently, he always acts like a prisoner around his warden, Moon.😆

Remains to be seen how he will extricate himself out of this prison and realise that Imlie is his right partner.

Very well put....that's exactly it....he feels unburdened when he is with Imlie....even though he has ironically made her feel like a burden on him for so long.....lol....but the truth is that he feels comfortable enough to drop pretenses with her (well minus the current lying he's doing to himself and her about his confused feelings😆) .....and ultimately try to be the best version of himself without PRETENDING. When he puts effort into being caring/considerate with anything related to her, it's not coming from a place of default obligation as he does with Malini many times....it's coming from a more instinctual/genuine place.

There is actually an interesting premise to explore with these two about the nature of how attraction can develop....the usual expectation is that it starts with the physical attraction being notable...but I think it has all taken a more roundabout path with these two....there has been an emotional attraction from almost the beginning that has only deepened with time and I think it is transitioning to a physical manifestation now because Adi is physically doing things to hold her closer, be closer to her...refusing to let go of her potli, refusing to let go of her cycle....it's all growing from there only bit by bit.

You make some interesting points here. I think his voice and expressions started softening post gunshot track. But I think his attraction became more noticeable when he lifted his room embargo for Imlie. The way he held her shoulders and brought her to his room...and how he watched her inside. The expressions on his face when he was watching her were similar to his expressions here, but slightly less intense then. GM does a great job enacting these nuances in Adi.

Obviously he will keep trying to deny it consciously and will keep trying to dismiss her as a bacchi....but then this guy is also currently using her studies as a cover for why she needs to come with him back to Delhi😆....so he will keep on making excuses to deny how much he is growing to need Imlie in every way.

It's not going to be a straight path for Adi to realize his attraction towards Imlie I think...it will keep getting draped in either irritation/scolding/jealousy/possessiveness etc.

Yes, it is likely that he will grow more possessive of her now. What will be most interesting is his reaction when Imlie will push him towards Malini.😆
