Man, on a repeat watch, this scene is even more of a masterclass to watch.....they captured woh jo ek typical husband-wife ke beech wala hurt hota hai in a convo SO well....jab expectations dono taraf se hoti hain of wanting to hear something, to say something....but jab woh milta nahin toh dono side se log baat ghumaate rehte hain rather than actually getting to the crux of what's REALLY hurting them.

Both Adi-Imlie simply want to know that they MATTER in each other's lives beyond general zimmedaari and advices....but dono yeh baat bol nahin paa rahe ek dusre ko😆.....isliye they are going around in circles pointing out ki you can't give me haq, you can study better in the city etc.....when none of that really matters to them more than the fact that they matter to each other.

Thanks for wording it so beautifully and echoing my thoughts what I felt but couldn't actually word it.. it had the shikwa the desire just kisi tarah se getting to hear the words they wanted to bina kahe their actual haal e dil caz that they are unaware of too as in that why is it so strong the need to have the other and the acknowledgment from the other one.. they both need that the most the acknowledgment they are dying for it .. haq jata liya taana suna dia .. dard dikha dia nahi bol paaye toh reason hi nahi ke kyon but did it even really matter when their entire existence in those moments screamed of the why.. she wants him to.say it she is is his wife not his zimmedari not some bhoj and him just wanting the Dorr to not break far far away from.consciously wanting the husband tag but subconsciously have accepted it and jataooing it.

Just the silence and the way he shook his head in the last bit with tum chahti ho hum chale jaayein and getting no answer and the getting up with a heavy heart with ok then that's it face.. still hoping somewhere wanting it badly for her to stop slowly walking away all heart broken with she wants to send me away .. and her on the other hand working the whole thing out quickly how to stop caz she wants the saath to be prolonged as much as she can where she gets some.more ammunition to spend the rest of her life alone.. the shikayat in her why do you want me back.so you could send me away with someone else and him squirming at that sighing rolling his eyes as if realizing his blunder momentarily ke kya bakwaaas kar di thi it really wasn't meant like that but knowing too how harsh it was hence keeping quite not trying to justify as such other than so what else do you plan for your life.

Oh the other thing was her soo classily telling him ke paisa thamma deta hai kabhi keh deta hai ke jao so value toh hai hi nahi.. lol imelia Tum kya jaano.kitni value hai.. value na hoti toh aisa thodi aata girta padta😆

Firstly on the dinner scene. Usually grouchy Babusahib can be charm personified when he wants to. Self-deprecating jokes bhi bol liye and even asked for SK's secret kasrat routine? LOL.😆 He is aware how imp SK & Mithi are in Imlie's life, hence deserving his utmost regard. Delightful scene.❤️ Imlie's beaming smiles watching them was the cherry on the top. She looked SO pretty in that dim light smiling. You're right he never made these exceptions for Malini and her family. Adi's walls have mostly crumbled now. He's not restraining himself, or simply isn't able to anymore. None of this feels wrong, so he has allowed his 'real' idealist self has come to the surface. He can be an ideal jamai, an ideal pati. But never found the occasion before to express himself that way. Perhaps because he felt others were undeserving of his care...but Imlie is the exception to everything.

Re the trigonometry scene, I think his 'tum kya chahti ho' had another connotation. I think he was really asking her whether SHE wants to marry another guy. I actually think he WANTS her to ASK for her HAQ and not give it away so easily.😆 This is why he asked her later whether she was asking or TELLING him that he will now be able to free himself from the lie (their marriage) and tell Malini everything. Twisted Babusahib wants her to ASK for her rights and only then will he oblige. Khudse kuch dene nahi wale.😛 He wants to know her inner feelings, how she really feels about her Babusahib. Whether she cares about him as her PATI or simply considers him an obligation/responsibility. I think if you look at his dialogues from yesterday and today as a whole, this is the conclusion you reach. He wants her to jatao her HAQ on him. Ask him to stay in PD, ask him to give her her rights as a wife. But khudse kuch karne wala nahi because he doesn't want to make himself that vulnerable and worries that his feelings are not reciprocated by Imlie.

I liked how normally the morning bedside scene was shown, there was no hyperawareness from both of them. But LOL at them both thinking this is wrong.😆

I think the last water pump scene also hinted at his wish for her to JATAO her haq khud se. At least ask him to stay back.😆 I gotta say I loved how Imlie ran out after Babusahib too, ignoring Prakash, lol. Her pumping water for him to wash his face exuded a natural husband-wife camarederie.

LOL yes, that was part of it and I was saying the same in one of my posts above as well....they were both going around the main subject and just wanted the other to tell them they MATTER in their lives😆.....but I do feel that it pinched Adi when she told him he can't give her any haq and she reminded him that he wants to marry her off to someone else. She already told him pretty clearly last time that she WON'T marry anyone else....but he's so dense that I guess he needs it repeated now that his emotions have suddenly gone into hyperdrive.😆

So yes, I definitely see the twisted game he's playing....he doesn't want to make himself vulnerable first but wants a sign from her that his presence matters in her life.....when she doesn't give him that, then he pouts more but ghoom phir ke phir Imlie ke paas hi waapas bhi aa jaata hai🤣.....like he himself said I'll leave in the morning but when she repeated it, he got upset....then again at the handpump, she followed him out....they both wanted to say something to each other...but they both held back again......yahaan pehle aap, pehle aap waali baat ho jaani hai😆.

Re: exception.....word.....if he ever really began to realize the impact that Imlie is having on his life, he would be so overwhelmed....lol it's a seismic shift in Adi unlocking sides of his that he probably didn't even realize he had.

As a son in law today Adi was too good to be true but it's true😳❤️👏.

Malini,The despo attention seeker lady🤬🤬. Har baat drum bajakar logon ko batani hai .....kal uske sasural walon ko,aaj Nishant ko,fir anu ko. Privacy naam ki cheez nahi hai isski marital life ki. Last but not the least Sundar bacha hai.....Jao aaur usey bhi woh baatein batado. Iss se jyada tum kar bhi Kuch nahi sakti. Looser lady losing her own dignity due to get mahaan actions.

I think you guys are really not getting it.. it was not at all Inferiority complex of any sort.. it was adk trying to diffuse the seriousness to kill the awkwardness that mithi felt and to kill her embarrassment due to food shortage itne chote se ghar main it was not possible for mithi to hide that she was so embarrassed by it trying to give up her food .. he heard it and it was just genuine goodness and respect .. he didn't wanted for them to be embarrassed by that and feel chota In front of him and remain bhooka so he diverted her mind by doing these absolute random talks about getting fat .. about fitness and tried to GET to know better by asking her about what she exactly does something he never bothered to know about till now.. it was a simple gesture of making her feel equal then any complex completely different context

It’s like watching wife and husband.. very smooth flow. Nothing OTT. convo flowed so organically and it’s so good that you forget everything while watching them. The transition of their expressions are soo good.

I don’t have anything else to say more than what I read regarding the episode.

Too good man. I am soo glad I used all my vacation and binged on this show got hooked to it.

Very super episode.....loved every scene of adi and imlie....esp when he was about to leave house in anger she thought how to stop him and started with wrong pronunciation... Adi sat back correcting her and then reflected she knew the correct pronunciation and also distracted him so that he stops from leaving.....on the other hand Malini kept on telling adi not to go but he didn't pay heed to her becoz she never distracted him with anything nor gave a challenge to him....how well jhalli knows him.....right from the time of bike ride in rain like she did the same by provoking him....

Loved their study time....in between Pythagoras theorem there was questions and answers also and adi spoke in village language.... pondering how he is speaking.....

Meethi ko bhi clean bowled Kar diya....he respected their shortage of food and didn't even show that he was actually hungry.....reflected how he writes in pen but they work hard in Sun to provide this food so in other words food is more necessary for them.....satyakam Ka kasrat wala comedy....spoke in English and then corrected in Hindi so that meethi could understand....how sweet....he is so free with meethi and satyakam....wonder he can never be like this with Anu chaturvedi or even Dev.....

Even in end when imlie told no matter if we meet again ever I will still be Ur wife and he troubled thinking that still something is unfinished but not able to pinpoint....SK gave them the space to sort out issues themselves if there is any......

Imlie's happy smile in the end that she managed to distract him and focus his attention on a different subject.....lol worth noting that just a minute before this, Adi ekdum heartbroken + gusse waale expression ke saath storm out karne wala tha😆......but all it took was one HYPOTENUSE from Imlie to bring him back😆.

Wahaan Malini Adi ko "zaroorat" and "support" ki duhaayi deti reh gayi but Imlie ko pata tha asli password is HYPOTENUSE to lagaao lagaam on this Babusahib😆

Really this epi makes it hit home that Malini 7 saal mein bhi Adi ka nature nahin jaan paayi....bas cakes/khaana banaati reh gayi and shopping karti reh gayi.....while Imlie has figured out his nature in such a short time of knowing him that if you irritate him or give him a challenge to focus on, he will instantly fixate on that😆......and that's what happened today also.

Such a lovely moment again his jhallahat overtaking his dukh and toota dil in an instant but that's also caz he was waiting for a sign and she gave him jaldi se..😆 so he can do his am pakaooed with you drama a bit and she can enjoy her babusahib being laal Peela over her pronunciations hahaha .. sahi hi bol raha tha ke jaan ke Karti hai aise.. malini didi bas leash daalne ke chakkar main hi reh gayi.. sorry honey aise nahi bond bante..

The happiness on her face seeing her tactic being successful aww my sweetiepie..

Ok I don't remember who said it, and I can't dig through all the pages right now so I'll just make a general post about all the Malini related angles people have raised today😆

a) Why did Malini sense Adi is in danger in the precap😆.....lol seriously, guys? What does that prove? It doesn't prove any "deep" connection as far as I can tell.....it's all part of Malini's continued paranoia building up.

b) Bigamy is a backdrop in this show, not the end all/be all of it😆.....and I don't think they are trying to generate sympathy for Malini right now with the way they are showing her.....they are actually unraveling her as a character more notably now so it's no longer seeming like both pairs are in a parallel space.....yes, the complication of Malini being Adi's wife will continue but I don't think it will be in a sympathetic space now.....all her whining/pouting is not really going to work on TRP aunties either....ab sab logon ko Imlie ke liye aur feel hoga especially after she ends up being the one to save her pati😆.....so Malini is becoming more and more like a spare part/third wheel....nothing else.

Going forward, it seems it's going to be more about Adi-Imlie ka star crossed husband-wife angle happening....trying to prevail over all the roadblocks (including Malini) to unite somehow😆.

I still cannot believe if Adi can open his mouth and say what he feels? After today episode my perspective of Adi and imlie relationship has changed. I may not be able to see Adi with Malini like before. I cannot also see imlie working as servant in tripathi house. I don’t know how they are going to take the story. It’s very complicated.
