Hey Everyone! Thank you for your love for this story. I am back with the next part. Here it is:

Part 10

“WOW!”

“OMG!”

“DAMN!”

Everyone said in chorus, listening to how Vansh proposed Riddhima. They all could just imagine and dream about such a proposal.

“Wow, Bhaiya! That was so beautiful and romantic,” Sia exclaimed. Ishani nodded and said, “I agree. It sounds like a fairy tale proposal, so dreamy.” They both had dreamy looks on their faces. “I can’t believe you have it in you,” Angre said shocked and surprised to know a hidden side of his boss.

“Well, what can I say? I am a man full of surprises,” said Vansh smugly with a smirk playing on his face. "It’s an effect of my company. Otherwise, your brother is very boring.” Riddhima said, nudging him with her elbow. “Of course sweetheart! If not for you, I would have never done this for anyone else.” Vansh said, bringing a beautiful smile to her face.

“So did you two marry right after the proposal then?” Dadi asked, wanting to know more. Riddhima shook her head and said, “Not really. We married after my graduation. To be honest, I didn’t know we would get married so soon. It was a sudden decision.”

It was a week after Riddhima’s graduation. They both had celebrated the moment spending a whole day with each other. Vansh made breakfast for her, went to an orphanage and played with the kids, watched a movie, then lunch in a restaurant, went to an amusement park, then dinner at a restaurant after spending hours at a beach ending the date with a long drive.

After that, they both became very busy with their work. They only talked over the phone and chats. Today was Sunday, so they took out some time for each other and decided to meet at Vansh’s penthouse.

Riddhima reached the penthouse and met with silence. Weird. Usually, Vansh would find out if she is here and come to greet her right away. He would be excited and enthusiastic about spending time with her but right now it seemed nothing like that. Keeping her purse and keys in the living area, she walked around to find him but couldn’t see him anywhere.

Finally, she opened the door to his room and found him sitting on the bed thinking something deeply. “Vansh!” she called to get his attention and was shocked to his face. He looked like he didn’t sleep the whole night. “Vansh, what happened?” Riddhima asked with concern and went over to him.

As soon she went close to him, he hugged her tightly, not leaving any space between them. He looked scared and that worried Riddhima. “Shh, it’s ok, It’s ok. I am here.” She ran her fingers through his hair and tried to calm him down. She pulled back to take a look at him but he was not leaving her. “It’s ok, I am here.” She sat on his lap facing him and cupped his face. “

"Will you tell me what happened? What made you so scared?” Vansh hugged her again and said, “I saw a bad dream. We were in a car, driving somewhere. We were talking and laughing, really happy but suddenly there was a light and I couldn’t see anything. After the light went away, I opened my eyes and saw that you were hurt and bleeding. I tried waking you up but couldn't. And you were vanishing away slowly."

Pulling away from the hug a little, Vansh looked at her with a vulnerable look. “You left me. You left me alone as my mom did.” Riddhima was really sad seeing Vansh like that and tried to calm him down. “It was just a bad dream Vansh. See, I am right here with you. Why would I leave you? I am not going anywhere.”

Cupping his face with one hand, she said, “Please stop thinking about it. This look doesn’t suit you. Come on, let’s go eat breakfast.” Riddhima kissed his forehead and got up from his lap.

She was about to leave the room when Vansh said, “Let’s get married.” Riddhima stood rooted to her place. “What?” Turning towards him, she asked, “Are you serious?” to which Vansh nodded. “I am damn serious. I have been thinking about it. I want us to get married. Let’s get married today.” Riddhima was shocked to hear him.

“You got to be fu***ng kidding me. Marriage, this soon! That too today? Have you lost it?” Riddhima understood he was scared but this is something else. Vansh shook his head desperately and pulled her towards him. “I am not joking. I seriously want us to get married. Please Jaan. Don’t you want to marry me?”

“Of course I do Vansh. I love you and I want to marry you. But like this, I mean, no preparation and nothing? We can’t just suddenly get married. What about your family?” Riddhima tried making him understand.

“We can get married whenever we want. We love each other. Family is the other reason I want to do this. You don’t know them. When I would tell them about you, they would make so many comments and really try to not let the marriage happen. They will talk shit about you and ruin our peace. I don’t want that. We will get married again in front of everyone, with all the rituals. But right now, I want to get married to you and make sure no one can ever come between us.” Vansh explained.

Riddhima sighed and said, “Vansh I don’t care about the rituals. It’s just a formality for the world. I really don’t care when we get married. But are you sure you are okay with getting married without your family present?”

Vansh nodded his head. “All I want is to make you mine and e yours in a way that no one can ever question our relationship and come between us. I will never let them, doesn’t matter if it’s my family. You are more important to me than anyone.” He caressed her face.

Riddhima leaned into his touch and said, “Ok then, we are getting married today.” Vansh beamed into happiness and engulfed her in his arms. He couldn’t express his happiness. Finally, they could be with each other without any thinking. Riddhima sighed contentedly in his arms. Finally, he would be hers in every way and no one could take him away from her.

“I know you know but I am still going to tell you this. I am not going to be cooking, or do the household chores, nor am I going to be a traditional wife.” Riddhima mumbled in his embrace. Vansh chuckled and said, “I don’t want you to be a traditional wife. There is house help to do all those work. I am marrying my queen, not a servant.” Riddhima smiled hearing him and snuggled more to him.

Later that day, they both went to the mandir nearby and got married. Riddhima was wearing a pastel green Anarkali with a pastel blue dupatta. The upper part of the dress was completely filled with crystal works which vanished after the waist and the dupatta had golden strings and stonework. Vansh was wearing a white sherwani with pastel green work and a pastel blue scarf with golden thread work.

After exchanging the garlands, they took 7 pheras promising to be with each other for all their lives, to always stand with each other, to always love and cherish each other. After the pheras, Vansh made her wear the mangalsutra and put vermillion on her hair partition. It was only them and Pandit Ji with his wife who witnessed their marriage. They also accompanied them to the court where they signed their marriage certificate.

The silence was the only thing present in the living area. No one was speaking. They thought it was some big reason for them to get married like this. They thought maybe Anupriya was the reason. But Vansh was right too. If they would have known about Riddhima before, they would have hurled many fits of abuse at her. They would have tried to humiliate her because of her family and her being an orphan. Hell, they already did that. Vansh would have killed them and not regret a bit.

Riddhima broke the silence saying, “I don’t have a family. So I didn’t care when or how we got married and Vansh didn’t want his family to be present at our wedding, so we just got married.” Vansh shrugged his shoulders, agreeing to her. Some of the family members were hurt knowing this but they also understood Vansh.

“But you could have told us after you got married right?” Dadi asked the both of them after composing herself to which Vansh replied. “Yeah we could have but Riddhima didn’t want to. She wanted to focus on her career without having to think about anything else and I supported her.”

Riddhima nodded her head to it and said, “Yeah. And later Vansh came to know that one of his family members murdered his mom. He wanted to keep me away from any danger and decided to not let anyone know about us till things are sorted.”

Turning towards Vansh, Riddhima frowned and said. “You told me servants are here to cook but I had to cook. My hands hurt when I was cooking.” Vansh took her hands and kissed the palms. “I am sorry Jaan. But you were the one who wanted to cook. That idiot Kabir brainwashed you well. And I couldn’t say much because I was pretending.”

Riddhima huffed and said, “You made me go through a lot during this period. I am mad at you. You have a lot to make up.” Vansh smiled and shook his head at her.

Riddhima started yawning after some moments and said, “I am tired and sleepy.” Vansh got up from the sofa. “Let’s go to the room then.” Riddhima shook her head and asked him to take her. “Carry me.” Vansh smilingly nodded at her order and said, “Your wish is my command.”

He picked her up in a bridal style when Riddhima said, “I am still mad at you.”

“I know.”

“You are the worst husband in the world.”

“I know.”

“I hate you.”

“I know. I love you too.”

The family looked at the couple amusedly as they went inside their room and shook their heads seeing their childish behavior. They sighed and retired to their rooms. It was a long and tiring day for everyone.
