She already knows that he is the one who held her hand when everyone else wanted to abandon her and he's the only one in the world who's her own -- I think it will activate her instinct to also reach out to him (we saw a glimpse when he didn't return late night). So far, we haven't seen her worried about leaving the house because she has never looked at it from the perspective of going away from him -- although she could not answer the questions when Shivani and Mohit asked about life without him. She will realise how much it matters to her that this marriage is not a "five year contract" and he's the person she doesn't want to lose.

Separation (preceding a divorce petition) has a very negative emotion attached to it but I am a firm believer that taking time off to evaluate feelings can be therapeutic for a couple. Sometimes, being in the same space does no good and the kind of space they are in-- there is no breath of air, constant external nagging, instigation and interruptions. Of course, they won't be separating with the idea of getting back together -- and actually, separation at such time is even more intimidating because there will be a bigger fear of 'losing control' of the relationship, especially because the bond has been weakened by a betrayed trust that was just re-built.

almost all gifts are a gamble when you don't know a person's likes or dislikes and even when you know, it is usually best to surprise with simple things only 😆 -- a lot of people don't like receiving gifts so in that sense the bamboo was quite harmless and it has a lot of good wishes and positivity attached. Now whether he does nurture it or not, it is up to him.

When i said "giver" i said it in the material context only. We can't really weigh the intangible things they have done for each other. Like Virat himself said today, the things that she does for his family members (given her own nature) is something that he hasn't done for his own family so far. So while he's been the shade she wanted or needed under the open sky, she has also actually become the cover for his close people in the line of fire, without caring about her own self. So, in that sense, I would say their thank you's today were well placed. They are clearly lucky charms to each other.

Of course, it's a big blooper that the pension is already coming - It has to be a year after he's gone missing, a formal police complaint also has to be lodged in the area of residence and the police has to also submit a report that the personnel could not be traced despite best efforts. And the disappearance is counted from the date when the family lodges the FIR to state that he's missing, as per the rule (Army efforts to trace the officer are different from this). The rule also is that if he reappears, the money will have to be returned to the Army.

You do have a point about this unreasonable hiding-- any serviceman making it seem like he's missing in action on duty due to some unforeseen events while he's actually willfully hiding does amount to breach of trust and can easily attract disciplinary action when he's found without any compelling reason for the act.

I read somewhere i think Sai is high on words and Virat is more on emotions. She reads him pretty well but needs his words as a confirmation. Is it necessary for spouses to know every minute detail of each other's daily lives? Can each.of the spouses have separate lives and not want to collaborate on everything? Yes, but it's crucial to have shared experiences.

We've been wondering why is their so much pull and so much pull back between this couple... The vulnerability required to achieve intimacy can be a fear in itself-- this fear holds a purpose. Wonderful analysis of a wonderful episode now thats a rare combo. Wherein the analysis is always wonderful the other part is most probably not in sync.

Had Patralekha behaved in this manner without knowing the truth, i would have still said ok she is blindly trusting the mother who knows better for her daughter. But after knowing she has a child and its in orphanage she did not feel bad for her. At least tell the entire truth to Virat for him to find out everything.
