I wonder if this is a casting issue or whether Rupa is not Badki-Didi's daughter but her step-daughter---which would mean that Rupa and Kahani are not half- but full sisters.

i believe she had been trained as a Vaidya-assistant. Her friend recommended her for the nursing job when she moved to mumbai. Her intent was to work as a nurse and moonlight as a dancer. Turns out the doctor she was assigned to was treating her dad; thats how she landed up in that residence.
