haha belief but also shy.
I think overtime, i've just made it my belief. I used to make the first moves but over time, i've just gotten to a point where im like, he should make the first efforts.
I make sure I am extra mean to a guy I like...just to not disappoint myself and the added advantage of pushing that person away....if that person stick around to handle that attitude he is the one šOriginally posted by: ..Peppermint..

Now that I totally respect. As you get older you stop taking risks you would in your younger days. Don't worry someone someday will make that effort šhaha belief but also shy.

I stopped making the first move when I gave my deskmate a love letter in primary school, which was actually a poem I copied from Idk where and he accepted it and we never talked about it againš¤£š¤£š¤£

So unfortunately, I think we still live in a society where a woman's directness comes off her being to "easy". There are many men who aren't like that and appreciate the woman making the first move, but I don't know where these men are ..
However, at the same time, its contradictory. Why would i want a man to make the first move if he has this subconscious thought that bc she asked me out, she's too "easy", i wouldn't. Sorry not sure if this makes sense.
Hence, since i dont know if they do or dont think this way, I sort of just give out hints and leave it up to them. Then overtime i can find out how his mentality is and if it sucks, its always a "see ya never wanna be ya" š¤£
So in all of that, i think it's self respect but also sometimes fear of rejection or of being judged. Mostly just self respect.
