All I could think about after the episode was "What a Bailbuddhi". OMG, yeah bandhe ka kuch nahi ho sakta. He was happily living with his two wives with nary a worry but with one impulsive decision, he gave an invitation to a storm that’s going to turn his wish of living a simple life into a complicated field of emotions and questions.
Coming to the episode, it was a treat but what was amazing was how Imlie matched him step by step and brought him to the point where he was left reeling with questions that he had no answers for. He came to her with his usual swagger and firmness, expecting her to follow him but this time she was as firm and stubborn as he was in her answer that she does not want to go back. Then came reasoning, that this was not his intention and she answered with reasoning that fear was not only his but hers too, hurt was not only his but hers too and now she is scared that she will break his trust by speaking the truth by mistake. Then came desperation, and she understood that the desperation was because of the guilt that Imlie saved his life. She was halfway correct and Imlie negated that too with her stance that she had just replayed the loan of him saving her. They are equal now and he does not need to feel any obligation. In the end, BS was reduced to pleading and that's where he gave rise to the storm because Imlie came back with the most important question of why is he stopping her as he always wanted her to go away, forget her and now he can and he should. Stumped is the right word to what he felt at that moment nd he could not answer, in fact he had no answer. He had to let go and all he was left was with a storm brewing within him and a simple question of "Why is there sadness when there should be happiness?. Yes, BS even we want you to find the answer to his question also and as soon as possible.😆
The thing is he could have still avoided it or got her back if he could have just been able to understand and answer the meaning behind her sentence "Ab bi kuch nahi badla".Nothing has changed. This statement itself is the root cause of their strife right now and Aditya has no clue why. See, as she said, she has never wished, nor demanded to bind him in their marriage. She had left him free to make his choice and supported him too in all of it. All she had asked was that he never ask or demand her to unbind herself from this relationship. This is her choice and she expected him to support her in it. But when Aditya made that statement that she should find another man to marry, that was the turning point. Imlie knew that she was not important for Aditya but if he cannot even respect her for her belief, nor understand where she is coming from, after knowing her from so many days then nothing is left between them, nothing has changed. If Aditya would have realised this and accepted her this belief wholeheartedly, she would have come back but alas!! Bailbuddhi babusaheb jo hain. He's still stuck on the fact that she is leaving because of the bike conversation which is true but she would have still not left if he would not have asked to give up on her suhaag. All she requires is his understanding of this simple fact that she cannot unbind herself from this bond that he has not given a name to but she has given full respect to. Nothing less nothing more.
Though, for me the whole conversation started and ended with Imlie's simple statement of "Ab bhi kuch nahi badla", things have changed. , Aditya could never believe and always doubted that Imlie would spill the beans and would not be able to keep a secret and now he is 101percent sure that she will never spill the beans nor share her problems with anyone, not even her mother. That there is called "TRUST".
Lastly, I think , Aditya will get her back with the reasoning that its his values and the sindoor conversation he had with his father. Imlie will come back because of her mother and Satyakam (warna BS ki to phir pitai) and also a promise from him that he will never ask her to give upon her belief again. Hopefully this time he stays firm on his promises.😊
