If men do it, they're heroes. If women do it, they're good for nothing, not contributing anything whatsoever to the society. What sort of a twisted ideology is this!

Harris' husband wasn't a home maker from the start of the marriage. This is more like a 'break' for him. Arden's boyfriend (not husband) is a TV presenter.

And nobody said that 'if men do it, then they're heroes'. 🤢

These men are being lauded because they were not afraid to take secondary positions to their wives for a while. Don't twist stuff.

Yup .... there were also some back and forths on Nobel laureate and whatnot... I have no comments on that cuz I don't know much about it. The only name that stood out was Rabindranath Tagore and I do have a lot of respect for him and his work.

Just because he happened to be in the family tree of Saif's maternal side doesn't really add weight to Saif's value in my eyes though..... but that's probably cuz I judge people based on their own individual identity before anything else and there's not much to say on that when it comes to Saif.... with his Ole Ole acts to now.

It’s good Mira hires help . It’s employment ... Mira is already empowered with lot of money .All rich people should be encouraged to hire help.

Jacinda Ardern's husband (actually not husband, she's not married yet) fiancé Clarke Gayford is a radio and TV personality.

Kamala Harris' husband Doug Emhoff is a lawyer and professor.

Where did you get the idea that they are homemakers?

So if a woman is "not afraid to take a secondary position" to her husband, she's a doormat? But if a man does it, wah wah. Things never change. 😆

N what exactly is the difference between the lifestyles of these men and Mira that they have to be lauded while Mira is torn to shreds? They can very well hire a big staff, and bloody well get their arses to work.

Mira shouldn't be shamed for wanting to be a homemaker. She/her husband has the money to afford it. It is about economics, not feminism. Heck, if I had enough money to stay home and work purely for my psychological fulfillment, I would. That, too, after an advanced degree in the hard sciences. I would write the rest of the time.

I have to admit I didn't watch the video and went by the headline. If he were willing to date actresses but not marry them, that's pretty scummy. If he simply decided after he didn't want to marry them, the man is entitled to have an opinion. If he is forcing the women around him to conform to his likes and dislikes, that is also pretty scummy.

Saif's pedigree *is* a great deal more illustrious than Shaheed's purely because of the presence of Tagore. It is a matter of fact and was said as response to a bomb-thrower who suggested Kareena went downhill with her romantic choice. It doesn't suggest gold-digging as an option for a career. Just a statement of fact, not to be extrapolated to mean anything else.

P.S. I'm defending Kareena of all people. 😆 That colorist, elitist, arrogant person. But when the argument is between worse and even more worse (wrong grammar😛), what do you do?

I said "now."

Sorry about husband/fiance. The last I read he was a stay-at-home dad.

What if instead of paying others to raise the kids if someone wants to raise the kids by themselves? Specially if she has the option to not work to meet ends.

I repeat, NO WOMAN will date or marry a man who has no job. Society never gave men the option of being househubbys, and I see no reason why women should have that choice.

Clearly it's impeding women empowerment. This 'choice' is nothing but another excuse to push the idea that women are better off staying in the kitchen and popping out babies. 🤢 Society gives only women the so-called choice of being at home. Why? Because the male-dominated society wants women to consider that choice. It's better for those with patriarchal thoughts if women make the 'choice' of being housewives, right? Would society give the same choice to men? Nope. Because men are meant to be the bosses, not play second fiddle.

So much for 'choice'. 🤪Sorry, but that's pure hogwash.
